It's hilarious how conservatives try to hold the deaths from covid during Biden's tenure over him when most of the deaths are conservatives refusing to get vaccinated...

(Also holding it over Biden but then saying the deaths aren't real ....)

It must suck having a brain that can't connect more than two things together at a time.

CDC COVID Tracker - current through 23DEC21

This is the vaccination data from the CDC website, broken down by age and race. If you look at the data, white individuals over the age of 50 are the demographic who have the highest vaccination rates in the country, overall. This demographic also tends to be the most politically conservative group in the nation.

If you go by the CDC's data, there really isn't much of a statistical difference between political leanings and vaccination compliance.

A gun that should have been unloaded but wasn't because the "expert" that was paid to do their job didn't do their fucking job.

The person currently holding the gun has the responsibility to make sure that the gun is in a safe state; ie. ensuring it's unloaded and/or not pointing it at someone. That's firearm safety 101 and it's the first thing you learn in CCW training and firearms training in the military/police academy.

    There are two possibilities

    1) the armorer checked the weapon and didn't know the difference between a live round and a dummy round.

    2) the armorer never checked the weapon

That is why you pay armorer, to make sure things like this don't happen. Should have Alec checked the gun, why would he? Why pay an armorer if you can't trust them? If the armorer can't tell the difference between live and fake ammo, how the fuck is Alec supposed to know the difference?

Involuntary manslaughter 😂 that's fucking ridiculous.

New Mexico Statutes Chapter 30 - Criminal Offenses Article 2 - Homicide Section 30-2-3 - Manslaughter

    30-2-3. Manslaughter.
Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without malice.

    A. Voluntary manslaughter consists of manslaughter committed upon a sudden quarrel or in the heat of passion.

Whoever commits voluntary manslaughter is guilty of a third degree felony resulting in the death of a human being.

    B. Involuntary manslaughter consists of manslaughter committed in the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to felony, or in the commission of a lawful act which might produce death in an unlawful manner or without due caution and circumspection.

  4. Masks are required at my job, but outside that and going to places that require them, I don't wear them. I've had COVID and have had two doses of the vaccine on top of that, so I just follow basic hygiene and let my immune system do it's thing. I also don't give other people shit for choosing to wear them, as some groups of people are more susceptible to having worse symptoms than others, but I'm not going to live my life in fear.

But I'll be dead and I don't care about the kid or kids you and your partner adopt.

    Nothing lasts forever.

But hey all those out of work Associate's degrees kids can play Warcraft online.

One could argue that sentiment is the reason why our federal deficit is as huge as it is and continues to grow. Why should the Boomer's care how big the deficit gets if they're going to be dead before the bill comes due? After all, they won't be around to pay for the continued kicking of the can down the road; let their children's and grandchildren's generation deal with the results of the Boomer's poor fiscal decision.

Yeah he f***** up but at the risk of sounding like a broken record it would be nice if the same s*** happened to both sides. Maybe after the midterms. Wink.

I'm not disagreeing with you that it seems like the standard is being applied unequally, but that still doesn't excuse the congressman's behaviour in this instance. It's the old "just because your friend jumps off a bridge.." argument. Plus, if the GOP wins a majority in the midterms, do you realistically think they'd hold their own members accountable as well?

I'm fine with the censure but eliminating the chair positions is kind of going against the will of the people but... not that that matters to anybody these days.

I'm not so sure about that. The people elect people to Congress, not to specific committees in Congress. That's the pervue of the Congress to decide what committees elected officials are on or not.

In case you're talking to me I don't disagree. He's clearly guilty of breaking and entering. And if every one of the violent protesters were charged and sentenced accordingly I would have much less problem with it. You? Also don't you think someone charged with assault with a deadly weapon and some of the other violent act that have gone on should be charged at a higher level? Or maybe even the same?

    WSS

Absolutely. This shouldn't be a left-right issue, although that's unfortunately not a possibility right now.

  8. The Constitution guarantees the right to peacefully assemble. Regardless of whether or not I agree with the message of the protest, as long as the protesters are peacefully assembled, then I have no right to impede their right to free speech.

BLM/Antifa/Jan6 protesters are no different under the law as long as they are peacefully demonstrating. Once you cross the line into rioting or looting, then the 1st amendment protection doesn't apply. Jan 6 rioters who broke into the capitol building and looted/vandalized public property are no different under the law than BLM/Antifa protesters who vandalized and destroyed public property in Kenosha, Seattle, Portland, etc.

In this case, "QAnonShaman" should be held liable for breaking into the Capitol and the House chambers, and those who damaged public property in the building should be charged as well.
