  1. Not related, but I remember when Chad Johnson took that vicious hit from Brian Russell. Can't remember if that was before or after he went looney and started calling himself Ochocinco? In reference to what someone said about Brown taking the hit from Burfict.
  2. Beat me to it. Many places where I live hire off duty and part time officers to moonlight as security. The video is too blurry, I was trying to read the patch on his uniform. Badge, gun, gun belt, handcuffs, radio, sure looks like a cop to me.
  3. This is the last thing I am going to say on this topic. For as long as I can remember, you don't put hands on an officer. YOU DON'T PUT HANDS ON AN OFFICER. Every time I've seen it in real life or on TV, nine times out 10 you are going to jail. Odell fucked up plain and simple. I don't want to hear about the circumstances, Odell fucked up.
  4. You clearly don't get it. It's because I carry a gun. Carrying a gun changes your whole approach to everything. It's called not wanting someone to take my gun off of me and use it against me. Same thing goes for an officer carrying a gun.
  5. Sometimes I feel I am the only sane person left on earth. It doesn't matter who is wearing the uniform, they expect you to be respectful to them, it's just a fact. I was a security guard only for a couple of months and I understand that you expect people to be respectful to you while you are doing your job. This guy was a cop carrying a gun, it would raise my blood pressure too if somebody came up behind me in a crowded room full of athletes and smacked me on the ass. I have a concealed weapon license and I don't even like people getting close to me in public. Apparently the New Orleans police department didn't think it was nothing. I'm just going to agree to disagree.
  6. Just a question, if Odell jr was out at some restaurant with his friends or family, would he be ok if some random fan or person he didn't know came up behind him and smacked him on the ass? And before you say it is not the same, yes it is. And it's an even bigger of a deal because the the guy he did it to security guard cop or whatever was in uniform and on official business. I've seen people arrested for merely touching an officer. And those that think this is nothing, the police issued an arrest warrant. Negative press for the Browns who already have everything going against them as a franchise.
  7. Also lost on many, this kind of shit does not bring a lockr room together. Off season or not, OBJ is bringing unnecessary attention to himself and the organization. If Odell wants to act like a queen, he can do it elsewhere.
  8. This is lost on many unfortunately.
  9. After multiple losing seasons since the rebirth, I never thought I would see fans ok with all the distractions. This MAY be acceptable on a perennial winner, but the Browns need to right the ship in the worst way. If you think think distractions aren't that big of a deal then look no further than the whole Myles Garrett debacle. That whole fiasco in my mind single handedly deflated the rest of the Browns season. As a fan, I am getting tired of waiting for a winner and watching the annual circus. We need more guys like Nick Chubb that understand the importance of coming in and bringing the lunch pale and keeping his head down working hard. As a fan I demand it and deserve it.
  10. I would go down to the zoo and pick a random chimp. And the sad thing is that it would still be a better candidate than any coach hired by the Browns in the past decade.
  11. As a Browns fan, you can only hear the same story so many times before you decide you will have much more free time in the fall. It's the same old song and dance every year. This cycle is going to repeat as long a Jimmy Haslam owns the team.
  12. Ok, now that's out of the way, is somebody going to start the "Official Browns HC search 2021" thread?
  13. I predicted in another thread that the Ravens would not go to the Super Bowl and not by accident. The blueprint to stopping the Ravens is exactly what I thought, jump on them early in the game and force Lamar Jackson to become a pocket passer. Baltimore's offense gimick offense that relies on misdirection and Lamar Jackson's speed and shiftiness. That alone allows for Lamar to hit wide open receivers, but he will not beat you from the pocket throwing into tight windows and coverage as he showed tonight. Lamar was exposed tonight.
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb and make a bold prediction, the Ravens will not make the Super Bowl. I think the way you beat them is play your best football at the beginning of the game and jump on them early. Getca big enough lead to force them to make Lamar a passer. We all know what he can do as a runner.
  15. Can somebody close this thread as McCarthy is no longer in play and was derailed a long time ago.
  16. LA makes the most sense for Brady. I don't believe the rumors of a McDaniels / Brady reunion if we land McDaniels as our HC. Jimmy Haslam is doing his best to make the Browns organization the most radioactive franchise on the planet. No way Brady ever puts on a Browns uniform no matter what type of talent we have.
  17. Kyle Trask. Don't know much about college football , but I happened to catch the Bowl game Florida was in, I was impressed with what I saw. Big guy and seems to have good mechanics. Made some nice passes.
  18. Even if you shoot somebody with a gun and they end up living, you don't get charged with murder. You would likely get charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder, but what the league did was basically charge Garrett with murder anyhow.
  19. There is a reason the Browns are the doormat of the league. But you're right, Garrett should have filed a grievance with the players union. I thought I read somewhere that it's in the CBA that they cannot suspend him indefinitely. If the league is violating the CBA then he has a case.
  20. I had a feeling the Pats were going to lose this game. There offense was never the same after Gronkowski retired. Some of the guys on the post game show saying they were missing an outside threat at WR but you just can't replace what Gronkowski did for them. Excellent blocker and could line him up anywhere for a mismatch. Edelman is the only weapon they have now.
  21. Seriously though, why would anyone care what Baker thinks? Nobody is bigger than the team. Baker has arm talent but I think he doesn't have what's between the ears to make it as an elite NFL QB. He is an interception machine and seems to be regressing. Next season will be make or break for him.
  22. Who cares what Baker would do. But I agree, no way Brady ever sets foot in Cleveland.
  23. The Browns had the #1 pick. They could have got their QB and another quality player with the pick they used on Kizer. Point is they saw something in Kizer and not Mahomes or Watson, c'mon man. There talent scout must have been Stevie Wonder.
  24. There are only three players left on the roster and one is suspended indefinitely. Also, we draft Kizer in a draft that includes Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. I know hindsight is 2020, but NOBODY saw Mahomes becoming something? Did the Browns even have scouts? F+ grade.
