The additon of Sheldon Richardson and Vernon have the Browns D-Line in the top 5 discussion. Add that to Larry Ogunjobi. DLine is the strength, imo. I would rank our corners and secondary above the linebackers with Ward, Mitchell, Carrie, Greedy, D. Randall, and Eric Murray. That is a LOT of talent in the secondary. I wouldn't expect much out of the rookie LBs right away, however; they are stepping into a welcoming situation with a bolstered defense.

Njoku started the season dropping way more passes than towards the end. I think his drop issues are in the past but EVERYONE has occasional drops. D.Harris from KC can play as well.

Exactly. Sacks are great for stats guys but QB pressure and penalties are stats that don’t get the same love. If Baker is the man on offense, he is the man on Defense. That’s what #1 picks are supposed to be. Explosive. Strong, long arms, etc.

Ok so you’re saying we have two #1 caliber pass rushers. And if somebody got hurt, we would still be good. IMO, Vernon is more of an all around guy, good against the run and pass. Yes he has bully strength, I agree. But no way would I say is he more athletic than Garrett.

I don’t need to look at tape. I know who Vernon is and I loved the acquisition from the second it happened. You’re not the only person who holds an opinion about Vernon. Our defense has the potential to be great. I am 100% aware.

If he does, it’s likely due to the double teams that Garrett will be drawing.

I’m guessing Hill grew up in this type of environment, and therefore thinks this type of behavior is acceptable. He needs to be put in some kind of program.
