    1. For reference HR 6090 will be using the IHRA contemporary definition of antisemitism that includes talking about Jewish involvement in the death of Christ.

    1. Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.
    2. Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
    3. Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.
    4. Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).
    5. Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.
    6. Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.
    7. Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.
    8. Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.
    9. Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
    10. Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
    11. Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.

Jesus (not killed by Jews) Christ.

That's incredibly excessive. Imagine if this was applied to all groups legally.

  2. I'll try to spell this out for you all, because you don't seem to follow.

The conservative politician isn't being ridiculed for having an affair. They're ridiculed for the hypocrisy of an affair when they preach family values, etc

The conservative politician isn't ridiculed for being secretly gay. They're ridiculed for the hypocrisy of being secretly gay when they fight LGBTQ rights and push for "real marriage".

The conservative politician isn't being ridiculed for not actually being Christian. They're ridiculed for the hypocrisy of not being Christian when they take photo ops with a Bible and pretend to care at all about Christianity to get votes.

It's the hypocrisy that's being ridiculed, not the act (in most cases).

    Understand?

It's right up there with them thinking Cheetos has integrity. The guy who has cheated on all three of his wives. The guy who cheated on his pregnant wife and had a 10-month affair with McDougal and also cheat on his wife and McDougal with a porn star (5 months). That sure sounds like the opposite of integrity.

Trump is a good Christian though! Don't slander him like that!

yes it is, because it is a deliberate lie. Again, go read up on what "genocide" is.

That is NOT what is going on in Gaza,. girliebird.

Try to stop with the stupid slurs and explain why you feel it's genocide.

    Go ahead.

    https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/03/un-special-rapporteur-report-on-gaza-provides-crucial-evidence-that-must-spur-international-action-to-prevent-genocide/

Though I'm assuming you'll claim Amnesty International or the UN is liberal elitists against Israel or something

Or be like Israel and just say they're antisemitic

That you nut jobs think Cheetos care about you is fucking hilarious. Cheetos is the definition of elitist.

Dude lives in a literal gold tower with his name on it but he cares about Joe blow construction worker ... Lol yeah right

LOL then you agree with Noem, because that's exactly what she said in the video.

I get exactly what you're saying, the word is called hypocrisy. It would be good if you could give me some examples of Republican politicians known to have engaged in gay sex and threesomes, and on the next day preach about those Christian values in order to gain votes.

Although a rumor, the evidence suggests Noem had an extramarital affair with a Trump aide, while at the same time claim to possess Christian values.

Just think of it as liberals would. She made a "mistake", or a "bad choice."  You can still make mistakes and poor choices cant you?

Of course, anyone can make mistakes or a bad choice. I'm not, and I imagine a lot of folks, aren't criticizing her for her bad choice. I'm criticizing her for her (presumed) hypocrisy. I admittedly do not know a lot about her but given her MAGA/real America persona I have some guesses on her beliefs and the implied hypocrisy.

    A few examples:

There are dozens man. Nothing that in itself is a big deal among consenting adults (ignoring assault allegations). But when your whole thing is real America Christian family values you deserve ridicule

The trouble is, how can anyone tell the difference between simple criticism and antisemitism?

The slurs about "genocide" towards Israel is antisemitism, since it is completely bogus, since the same people don't use it for hamas's war crimes in the surprise, unwarranted invasion on Oct. 7th

Jesus Christ you're a fucking moron cal. You truly are. The same thing could be explained to you multiple times, slowly, sounding out the words, but if it doesn't fit your world view you won't comprehend.

It is very easy to tell the difference between criticism and antisemitism. You're so blindly wrapped up on defending Israel you just can't tell the difference.

Calling what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza genocide isn't antisemitism towards Jews. How are you this stupid?

Ridicule all you like, it's so trivial and worthless so much that it bores me.

But what is also deserving of ridicule is calling out and accusing conservatives of doing exactly what your side does (or did).

Which was kinda like what I did there Woody.

Care to read about how religion shaped Kamala Harris' life?

How Vice President Kamala Harris’ Religion Has Impacted Her Life Over The Years - Yahoo Sports

    You're missing the point here.

I don't care if s politician has a secret gay lover or is involved in threesomes or whatever

But if that politician is preaching an anti gay message, or "real marriage", or Christian family values, or whatever conservative pandering gets them votes then their personal actions are grounds for ridicule.

How are you not getting this?

And I don't give a shit about Kamala. She sucks. If the point is she's pandering about religion, or is religious, or whatever I don't really care.

More legal resources for victims is great, but again, what's the measurable outcome? Sexual assault incidence has decreased? Something like that.

Except that data is skewed if sexual assault was never reported because of power structures, etc at the time that made the victim feel it was a lost cause.

Like I said in my posts, laws going into affect to improve workplace protections and weaken the power of NDAs to silence victims is a good thing.

OMG...someone has been listening to the cries of these idiot protestors.

Israelis committing genocide. Sure, because there exist only assumptions and speculation, so why not go for it.

Reasonable grounds is the best that they could come up with...

“There are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide…has been met.

Assumptions and speculation that arises out of finding excuses for the behavior of these animals.

Oh those poor brown people, those white looking Jews surely must have done something to them in order for them to behave this way.

And you call them animals. So does Israel's far right government.

Y'all had sides picked before anything ever happened.

Israel will run this excuse into the ground or until they level all of Gaza, regardless of casualties.

    It is a genocide.

  11. 52 minutes ago, FY56 said:

    So what if she did?

You have no problem with Kamala Harris sucking cock to get where she's at.

It doesn't matter what consenting adults do

... But if your political ideology / belief system includes claiming Christianity, shunning adulterers, promoting family values, etc ... And then you/your politicians do the complete opposite, it deserves to be ridiculed

Dog outrage. Whatever you people will reach for....so reminiscent of the liberal outrage when it was discovered that Mitt Romney put a dog on top of his car.

    Oh the humanity!

    Say it aint so!

And there you assholes were, defending Micheal Vick.

Oh and by the way, depending on the breed, a dog generally outgrows its puppyhood between a year and 18 months you moron.

    Who defended Vick on here?

And Romneys was messed up too. But at least he didn't kill the dog.

Just another data point of conversations not caring about anything that doesn't directly affect them... And that extends to their dogs I guess

Does that mean everything she said in the video was false?

You were way off base with the notion that conservatives don't experience a certain upbringing.

In fact, among conservatives and liberals being both in the same socioeconomic class, the conservative will be happier.

According to polls — Pew Research Center, the National Science Foundation — and studies such as Professor Arthur Brooks’ Gross National Happiness, conservative Americans are happier than liberal Americans.

For one thing, conservatives on the same socioeconomic level as liberals give more charity and volunteer more time than do liberals

Life is hard for liberals, and life is hard for conservatives. But conservatives assume that life will always be hard. Liberals, on the other hand, have utopian dreams. At his brother Robert’s funeral, the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy recalled his brother saying: “Some men see things as they are and say ‘why?’ I dream things that never were and say ‘why not?'”

She is spot on about that too.

    Ignorances is bliss?

I'm sure some voting conservatives do experience a certain upbringing. But the majority of politicians are lying out their ass. On both sides. But in the example we have conservative politicians playing make believe as salt of the earth good ole boy blue collar real Americans.

Morons on this board think trump gives a shit about the working class

  14. It seems like she's really trying to play into the "real America" "not your typical politician" angle. She probably planned on getting backlash from this story so she can pivot and go "see, liberals make America weak! They can't handle a real American leader that can do what needs done!"

All BS. I'm sure it's a facade she's trying to build up. Typical of a lot of a MAGA reps that try to play up a background and upbringing they didn't experience much at all. They need to pretend they understand the every man.

I still think it's bs she shot a puppy acting like a puppy cuz she couldn't train it. She wasn't dependent on this dog to survive. It was a hobby / sport.
