So when a man gets into his middle or older age without really having a family, talents, a community, or generally anything that helps him feel decent about himself he'll try to fill that void. Then when COVID hits, and blocks this man off from the world even more, he'll fall into an internet community of folks connected by their own worthlessness. To fill this void the man will fall deeper and deeper into this internet community, these forums, chats, etc. It will consume his life. But more importantly he'll feel he has a purpose. He'll feel like he finally matters. He enjoys this feeling and the vicious cycle continues. His life is now about knowing "the truth". About not being "a sheep". A man with no talents, no skills, but NOW he matters.
