Despite Houston beating us, I'm definitely rooting for CJ Stroud the rest of the way.

Just a likable kid, and an ex-Buckeye, of course doesn't hurt.

Sure, no bad blood with Houston - I’d like em to make a fairy tale run. Don’t think it’ll happen but I wouldn’t hate it.

Id mostly love Baltimore to get bounced in their first game, which I am doubting quite a bit after seeing the beginning of this game.

Anyone besides me feel the  Cleveland BDOWNS  and  Joe Flacco   should be still playing in this round ?

Oh eye candy ?   How about the old lady again ..... maybe not.

Should they be playing this round? No - they played like ass and lost, I wish they were though.

    Counterpoint (I don't like Philly):

They just fell apart down the stretch. They have good skill guys, a pretty good coach.

Free agency & a draft can fix it, but no guarantee. We know this all to well unfortunately.

They are going to be a very different team especially on the defensive front - at least very different personnel. And probably a different coach given how Philly has 0 patience for disappointment.

Kelcie at 36, probably doesn’t see a Super Bowl outlook next year - and doesn’t wanna put his body through another year of tush pushes, which is a pretty rough play for a center.

Just not surprised he’s retiring, our Joe Thomas was a couple years younger when he was done having his body take all the abuse.

If Watson is the day one starter, we're right back in the same boat . We need to start shopping Watson around and looking for a game manager. This may piss a bunch of you off but I'm too old to give a shit. I believe wholeheartedly if we would have just kept Mayfield we would have walked away with  the north and played at home in the playoffs and kept our draft picks. I really don't think it can be disputed.

I mean, maybe - doesn’t matter though because mayfield isn’t a brown.  Mayfield also played plenty of games like ass this year - the bucs were just lucky enough to play in the worst division and get a home playoff game with sub-10 wins.

There is no market for Watson, and he’s not as bad to be stuck with as some fans think…if he can stay healthy going forward. We beat the favorites to win the Super Bowl, on the road, with Watson at QB.

How many games are you giving Deshaun to get his shit together?

We were winning games with him, regardless of what anybody thinks of him. Flacco was a great spark, but nobody would say he gave us a better chance to win in Texas than Watson would have…

Id still be cool to bring Flacco as a QB2, but it probably won’t happen because when Watson throws his first pick the fanbase and media would be extremely toxic.

per paid site The Athletic writer..

On Jan 4, 2024  Less than one week remains before the Jan. 10th voting deadline for MVP and the other annual Associated Press NFL awards

so 3 days before Browns playoff game was played, the votes were in..

I’d be pretty confident stefanski gets coty in that case, after the wild card game it clearly should be demeco though…out coached similar to how McVay exploited the defense with the quick hitting misdirections.

Am I wrong about Garrett or Ward?

Garrett looks like for the most part he pulled a Houdini act for the last part of the season, and Ward seems he's going to be a regular on IR for the rest of his career.  If Garrett's shoulder is to blame,  isn't he kinda in the same boat as Watson?

I would say wrong about both of them yes. Garrett is kinda obvious, he will likely be voted DPOY for good reason.

Ward has an injury bug, but it’s hard to get that level of talent at CB.

Either way we are not in a good position to trade away all of our star power and enter a rebuild - that would be pretty ludicrous given where our roster is at right now.

Whatever I say is going to piss people off, I'm still fuming from yesterday's game.

I say let them all walk. And I will go as far to say they should move on from all injury prone players including Hospital Ward and Garrett with the shoulder that is his fault because he can't handle a performance car. They need to start looking towards the future and start drafting replacements for some of these players. How many picks did they give for Watson?

We are certainly not in a stage to trade our stars to enter a rebuild, maybe in 2-3 years. That would definitely be an over-reaction, but I ain’t mad at ya.

It was a fun year, sad end - it is what it is.

  9. I’d say it’s the worst loss in a long time in browns history.

Just because of how hyped it all was after the 4 game winning streak.

”the postseason is back in Cleveland!”

    ”generational defense”

Then to come out and get ass spanked by a rookie HC and QB.

There may be reasons to be optimistic about the roster next year…but at least in 2020 we took some optimism out of the postseason. Big Ben crying, gave the chiefs a run for their money.

This was just…pathetic. There’s not a single positive thing you can take away from this game - the city was electric and let down in catastrophic fashion.

It wasn't just Flacco. This team had every reason to come out with energy and believe that they could win the game and they just didn't, they just DIDN'T. It's really disheartening to see the only player to show up was JOK. JOK should be the embodiment of what a Cleveland Brown should  be. Him and Nick Chubb, especially Nick Chubb.

I mean, they were literally the talk of the town, the buzz was all around the Browns and they came out and laid an egg. This is not the way our season should have ended.

Yea…it really changes the feeling when you get blown the fuck out in the wildcard by a rookie Texans HC and QB.

if it was competitive at least would feel good that we had a chance despite the adversity, but it was like the JV vs Varsity out there - and we were favorited
