Wow I wasn’t active during the Tour thread so I missed that story, that just ruined my day 😕 I remember making a bet with him and he had to send me a sampler of Texas beers. Though I sent him a sixer of Christmas ale anyway to spread the holiday cheer.

Him and Gipper were amazing people and contributors to the board.

Our passing offense is actually pretty close to the basement side by side with the jets, we just have at least some semblance of a rushing offense and a top defense.

Defo a berry fuck up on losing dobbs for DTR and Walker, but if Watson is healthy the rest of the way it won’t matter.

So much hostility, the browns are undefeated in daylight savings time. We should all be happy

Baltimore has really found their stride unfortunately, but I think we match up well with them on paper - lots of speedsters on defense. Hopefully it’s a different looking game with Watson as QB. 
 

On the note of stefanski praise, his teams have been monumentally better against the afcn than the previous bunch of coaches.

He was pretty bad on the short throws but pretty good on the long ones. Everybody should be glad he’s back over walker or DTR, we need him to make a run

It’s a shutout what more could you want. Great game to go to, easy W and great November weather.

I’ll be tailgating and going to the game, if they lose to the cardinals I’m never going to another game again.

With brisset we are 3-0 in the last 3 and probably don’t have asterisks attached to the 2 wins on the debated ref calls. Though the same is true with a healthy Watson.

Most likely is the browns are very optimistic about Watson and didn’t wanna give draft capital for a 1-2 game rental at this point. Hopefully they are correct on their assessment of watsons health

i get getting something over nothing, but what’ll probably be a late 6th 2 years from now just seems not worth the thinning of the receiver corps.

But really this makes 0 sense to me, I know it’s his contract year and he’s gone after the season. But our WR room is not exactly bulging with talent to give away dpj for nothing.

Allegedly browns were unwilling to give more than a 6th for Jacoby too. If Watson is sucking ass or missing in Baltimore the fan base will be very unhappy with that decision

I don't have a problem with Stef throwing it there (based on all of the above) and if he completes it, the game is probably over. Of course one of the worst things that could've happened did, but our league leading defense should have been able to at least force a long FG attempt (again, I have no idea of what the momentum was like).

I'm guessing if Sef would've ran the ball into an 11 man front for a 3" gain and the defense still choked it away (pitchforks down - the #1 D in the NFL should've played like it with the game on the line) then people would be criticizing him for being too conservative and not having a killer mentality.

Just my .02 about a game I did not watch. 

 

 

It was a bad call by Kevin in the context of the game, where the run game was dominant including on that drive. We quite likely win the game with a run there.

But the real enemy is the FO, where PJ Walker is the best QB Kevin has available.

31/32 QBs make the wide open check down for a first down easily on that play.

Ready for the week of Watson not practicing, Watson not speaking to the media, Watson whining to the media that of course he wants to play and he worked very hard to get here, PJ Walker announced starter against Arizona.

Also I normally wouldn’t hate passing on that short 3rd. But when Walker is pure ass and strong and hunt were tearing it up all day it’s pretty hard not to wonder wtf stefanski was thinking there.

I really didn’t expect them to win this game.

It’s so much worse to lose when it was our game until the end, though.

PJ Walker should not start another game for the browns, strong and hunt are far better runners than ford. That’s my take
