I don’t get the obsession over next years QB, just focus on the wild card game in front of us. People can argue about it after our year is done. If Flacco maintains the 300/3 games in the playoffs we are probably not losing many playoff games though…if we get bounced I assume it’ll be after a less than stellar performance from Flacco which would probably cool down the hype a bit going into the offseason.

Our D was only really successful at stopping them for a half. The pass rush and speedy linebackers are pretty crucial to stopping Jackson. Miamis defense is definitely not elite though

I mean, they were ripped off - but the refs announced 70 was eligible not 68. So maybe it would have changed the defense too if they were told the correct guy was eligible. Seems like they should have waited to snap it until the refs announced the correct number as the eligible receiver. And the lions had a 1 seed scenario, this game took them completely out of contention for that. Should have kicked it after the penalty.

It seems the refs screwed up big time on the call, but yea tripling down instead of trying to go to OT was objectively beyond stupid.

I’d be ok with Joe seeing a quarter, just to keep him fresh with some time seeing another defense. Otherwise yea, rest em all up. Bengals may have nothing to play for too after tomorrow though. But I’d love the ravens to lose to the dolphins and need to go against Pitt for the division - history would indicate that won’t be an easy game for Baltimore.

MVP is just a nickname for the QB on the best team. No chance a defensive player would ever win it. It will go to Lamar, who isn’t even the best QB this year statistically just on the team with the best record. COTY should be Kevin, pretty obvious - the other candidates fell off pretty hard (except the Lions, but getting embarrassed on prime time hurts your chances at the popularity rewards) DPOY is obviously Garrett, rare to see a DE single handedly winning games but he has this year Comeback player of the year is obviously Flacco, Hamlin is the feel good story to play after cardiac arrest a year ago…but if it’s based more on performance improvement it’s Flacco Assistant of the year Schwartz is an obvious choice I think those 4 are pretty safe at least. Though I’d prefer no awards besides an AFC championship

He throws with anticipation where the guys are supposed to be on the field before seeing them, better than any QB on the roster. His timing is impeccable and it’s probably because of his kubiak experience.

I didn’t get to watch much, was watching from phone in airport a bit. But it really seems like Flacco is playing the best football of his career…the chants were awesome. Nice to see the run game start to open up, I’m not seeing the statue criticisms either - he’s navigating the pocket very well and even breaking sacks and extending plays
