  1. They may have thought about it, but 2 SEC teams, not this season. Their conference stunk vs out-of-conference competition (5-7). 29 wins in a row & out after 1 loss probably irks Bulldog fans, but they really played a cupcake schedule.
  2. At least he didn't say "you could see there was bllod coming out of her eyes" about Megyn Kelly😁

    Playoffs

What a crazy season. I figured the Steelers would cake walk to the playoffs a couple weeks ago. C'mon Browns, protect the home turf & take this Jax game.
  4. Wow. Never saw an upset coming tonight, AWESOME
  5. The walk from there is about 20 minutes. Which game are you referring to? The NY Jets game, chances are we won't be tailgating because it's a Thurs 😥. I'll keep you posted in this thread.
  6. Tragedy... 1976 Missouri 22 tOSU 21....in Columbus. I was 13, I'm still bitter lol.
  7. It's a Big 10 vs PAC 12 thing, actually more of a Big 10 vs PAC 8 Rose Bowl thing, that's all. While tOSU only played them once in the Rose Bowl (2021 I think), I always rooted for a Big 10 team in the Rose Bowl....and they usually came up short (USC, UCLA, Washington, Stanford). The PAC 8 pretty much dominated the Rose Bowl when I was a kid/young adult. I did like Warren Moon however as he threw the best damn spiral 90% of the time ( even though he played for the rival Oilers). He might be considered an all-time NFL great if he was in the NFL right away instead of the CFL.
  8. @Flugelyes, the Big 10 is down. I'm really miffed at Wisconsin's demise. Barry Alvarez left/retired, wow they stink. I'm a bit worried about tOSU. That's a lot of transfers, maybe I'm over reacting but it smells like trouble.
  9. As much as I love tOSU, they were doomed as soon as they lost. I actually thought the committee would leave out the SEC entirely. No team ever went from #8 to the playoff without chaos, and there really was no chaos on conference championship weekend. My hunch is the committee needed tOSU or 'Bama for ratings....these are teams that many love and many hate, like the Dallas Cowboys. Since 'Bama won, well they got their wish. It should be interesting. The teams that make it usually put a few new wrinkles into the game plan. Me, I'm rooting for Texas, the only team of the 4 I can tolerate.
  10. Awesome. I'd suggest downloading the Cleveland Beer Passport if you are heading to the local micro brews. Gives you discounts on some food purchases at some of the stops. You'll have to sift through here to find it. ... Beer Passport We tailgate by the Flat Iron. You'll love Forest City & Great Lakes. Saucy is awesome as well. Brick & Barrell is small but great brews. Just my 2 cents...Butcher & The Brewer is way better than the Wonder Bar if you choose E 4th over W 25th area breweries
  11. It's a bad look for CFB, bad look for ESPN.
  12. Yes, yes, & yes. All this losing has turned many Browns fans into dummies, and it's sad.
  13. I never cared much for Florida State, but they got robbed.
  14. No problem with a "yes" or "no" vote at all, that's what we do. My point is the will of the people, educated or uneducated on the issue(s) voted, voted on the issue/proposed language. Our state "representatives" have no right to alter the will of the people, regardless of where we stand.

I still have faith in the Browns. This is a must win. Schwartz- I'm sure he's been busy evaluating the D and will implement a few tweaks. Stefanski- realizing running the ball will be paramount in the potential bad weather (wind, rainy). Yes, I know he's the underdog vs Pederson. Players- probably pissed about the west trip.
  16. Cal, just my opinion here. The main reason it passed was the simple provision that people could grow their own, up to 6 plants. The new tweaks on this eliminate that. Why? Me thinks it's so the state gets it's hand$ on ALL the dough. Secondly, they want to up the taxed sales. That's not what the public voted on. It isn't a good look. The Browns go up 21-17 at the end of the 3rd Quarter, and tell the NFL "we won, no need to play the 4th Quarter." Change the rules in the middle of the game. Is that ok?
  17. Issue 2 potential changes Ignoring the voters. Not a good look Ohio Rs. Opinion piece
  18. I'm surprised it took this long. How does a guy falsify his resume so bad, and deceive so many? Then he blames everybody but himself on the way out. This is not the world we grew up in.
  19. Damnit.....why did I pick the Steelers in the survivor pool?
  20. Lol...well I get it. Watson is never going to be a beloved player here, or anywhere for that matter. We just hope he plays well (when available) and the Browns win. I honestly have no clue how workman's comp affects the cap, but I'm guessing it doesn't.....just legal mumble-jumble jargon. $230 million is still $230 million on the cap no matter who's paying. Everything I've read is the Browns are stuck with that contract through 2026. The "guaranteed money" thing is the reason per the analysts. I'm not smart enough, or just too lazy to dig deeper into it, so I will believe the so-called gurus. Damnit. Yesterday was another "oh no" chapter that we've all become too familiar with. Beat Jacksonville please!!!!!!
  21. Yes on all of your ramblings. It's crazy how the Rams, and to a degree Denver exploited a weakness on the Browns' D. Quick-hitting plays to the edges are killing us. The Browns have done a good job finding DBs in general the last several years, but when they only have 2 LBs on the field, it's a disaster with tackling. It seemed to me Stafford (& Wilson) checked out of many plays to exploit this weakness. With Garrett & Ward out/limited, the D is very ordinary. Schwartz has done a great job in general, but he's got to figure out this large hole quick. My own personal opinion is our LBs aren't great either. Takitaki makes a splash play or 2 once in a while, Walker is decent, not great, & JOK is the best, basically a hustle/smart player, but he cannot do it all. Maybe the modern day NFL doesn't allow the stud LB guys we loved/loved to hate like Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Urlacher, etc due to the 4 & 5 WR sets. But I'd sure like to see one like that in Cleveland.
  22. My dad warned me not to get atttached to the Browns. He was a die hard, going all the way back to the AAFC days. He witnessed the Browns-Rams, Browns-Lions, & Browns NYGiants championship games/playoff games in person. He always sided with Paul Brown on everything. He liked Jim Brown the player, but it does sound like Modell listened to Brown, and fired Paul Brown for Collier. In his mind (my dad's), the Cleveland Browns died when Modell bought the team (1963). Sadly, the stats don't lie. Yes, the Browns should have been able to dig out of this present mess (1999-present) a lot sooner, but competent ownership has basically ecaped Cleveland. Haslam tries but he can't help meddling. Check out the attachment from 1972's book, by Jack Clary, Cleveland Browns, Great Teams Great Years. Modell took perhaps the greatest franchise in football and ran it into the ground. Present Browns record as of yesterday, 555-533-14
  23. I know Greg Pruitt received Workman's Comp back in the day. You may already know this, but the State of Ohio mandates employers pay into it. Claims are typically denied, bounce back to the employees health insurance, and it can be a very drawn out process to settle anything. Lots of red tape. My guess is Watson has filed (or his lawyer on his behalf) and it's pending.
  24. Lol, iStill don't know how you guys can type while watching the game. Anyway, they HAVE to beat Jax & end this skid. I'm concerned about those misdirection plays that the D gets burned on. Pederson is just as shrewd of a coach as McVay. Browns aren't healthy obviously. Tough task ahead, just get the W.
  25. I've said CFB is broken for a while, but I still watch. Putting Alabama in the CFB playoff over an undefeated Florida St. team is the icing on the cake. From #8 to #4 with truly no "chaos" is unjust.
