  1. The 16 game schedule, and the rotating schedule system in place now is perfect. I sense the owners may want something else from the union. They throw this idea out in the open, before CBA negotiations begin, as a tactic. Probably just going fishing...they know the union is against it, but maybe this stupid 18 game idea will be leverage for concessions on something else. The owners better be careful. I think they've over-saturated the market with these Thursday night games as it is. Just leave the game and schedule alone.
  2. I voted for Perot the 1st time he ran. He made the most sense, just couldn't beat the big money Ds and Rs like all elections.
  3. Not to be a prick, but Sam was replaced by Marty in 1984, but I see the comparisons. If we had a pass rush in the mid 80s we would have won a Super Bowl. We have a pass rush now (I think), but no Dixon/Minnifield/Felix Wright at CB/FS. My whole take is the Browns need to survive the first 6 games at say 4-2, stay injury free and takeoff from there.
  4. I think Thursday Night football should avoid division rivalry games, but what do I know.
  5. September 8th: Browns 27 Patriots 24
  6. I got round 2 then lol. Peppers was one of my favorites. His sack of Keenum exorcised a lot of Mile High demons for me last December.
  7. It is very sad indeed. I happened to be there on duty, our best efforts couldn't revive him. Kathy is strong but she may need our help. Prayers to her and their family.
  8. I'm lost here....what does the FD have to do with this?
  9. I lost 76 points on scUM & Auburn. Hap hap happy New year to me lol.
  10. Yeah, I reached on Arizona State and Memphis, so bye bye to me it appears. Bowl Mania with confidence points is my favorite by far. I've never been into fantasy football league stuff.
  11. For tailgating, either pulled pork or brats on the grill. After the game, stop in a pizza joint or pick up on the way home.
  12. From Cleveland (JF Rhodes HS), now live in Berea, Oh ( Browns headquarters, woof).
  13. I saw you were at Quoddy Head, and I've been there too its amazing (I think it's the most eastern point in the USA). Union Bay is the name of a campground ( suppose the nearest city would be Ontonagon, MI). It's also funny to me that the best gnocchi I ever ate was in the U.P. Another cool spot in the U.P. is the ski jump at Copper Head- you can climb to the top and see just how high those ski jumpers take off from, it is amazing. So many beautiful things to see in the USA, but not enough time or money I suppose to see it all (mega millions would cure that lol). I really want to see the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon/Washington someday, along with Big Bend National Park.
  14. Wow, somehow I missed this thread. My family loves to travel, camping in particular as we've been camping in 38 states.
  15. I have 2 tickets, $60 each. I am working Sunday, and my son may not be able to attend. Call me later, 440-570-6588. Bob Magee, BFD

  16. Go Browns!!!Soon, we all hope.
