This is amazing!!! So happy to be moving on from Baker Bozo. For those of you wanting to stop supporting the Browns, please do, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Just don't come crawling back when we are contenders. You can't win a Super Bowl without a star QB, and now we have that. Watson's alleged misconduct was dismissed criminally (zero shred of evidence), and these women are just making a money grab in the civil suit

Coming from the fuck that joined the board in October.

See ya fellas. It's been real.

The Browns should have let Mayfield play out his contract and then make a decision at the end of the year. We simply did not have the draft capital to get one of these QBs. And it would have been good to know that Watson wants to stay in the south to save us the trouble of even making an offer. This was poorly handled.

That's why I think this was all Jimmah. No way Berry didn't see this coming.

Baker has all the leverage here. All he has to tell any team that the Browns want to trade him to is that he won't sign any extensions. Or not play. Or play and walk at the end of the year... And the Browns get nothing

Just announced he wants traded.  Does anyone blame him??  He busted his azz for us and the FO hangs him out to dry by pursuing for a rapist.

Good luck to ya Baker!!  Go win someplace else!!

Anyone with half a brain saw that coming.

Browns get what they deserve. Hope they have to trot out the next 15 backups for pulling this crap.

Should have lined up a trade last week before it even came out that they were going to see Watson.

I hope it comes out that Haslem was behind the whole thing and Berry packs his bags.

Screw these clowns. Amari Cooper looking for his next team already.

Yeah...the one with MVPs, ProBowls, SB appearance who still better than Baker

You right...The situation in Atlanta is actually more disrespectful

    BAKER AIN'T FREAKIN RODGERS THO

They didn't pull anything besides trying and make a team better. If you the GM and you got some headcase like Baker , who you didn't draft and you see wtf the AFC is looking like with Herbert, Mahomes, Jackson , Allen, Burrows and now Russell freakin Wilson?? You gonna hook your career and salary to Baker? Career suicide...It's a new league if Stafford wins a SB first year in LA and Brady wins one his first year in Tampa??? Get on the train or get ran over.....isn't that what Baker said to Duke Johnson tho?

    Nah.

The 37 year old that will retire, or scoop up a free massive contract from some dumbass team like the Browns when they have to overpay for a retread because they screwed up.

If I'm the GM, I trade Baker to a QB hungry team before I go all in on someone else while keeping him on the roster, go lay all my cards on the table because I don't want him anymore and torpedo his value. Why the hell would anybody like the Colts come in strong with any value after watch you do what you just did.

Who the hell said anything about signing him to a long term contract? I'm not pissed at Baker. He did what he thought was best for his career.

I laugh because people are more pissed off Baker wrote a tweet, than they are about the Browns offering 3 first rounder for a guy that sexual assaults women.

I'm pissed off yet again because they couldn't have fucked this up any worse if they tried.

Watson is way better than Baker and that was our best shot in competing in the AFC. To say Watson isn't or to even hint it is ridiculous. He had nothing and his numbers were way better than Bakers...Baker had a top 5 line, defense and rushing attack.....as in suspension for about 4-6 games ...cool. Are we winning a SB this year with Baker?

    WTF are you talking about.

Have you seen Watson's numbers? Mitch Tribisky has more wins and he played for the freaking BEARS.

If he is so freaking great, why did they win the same number of games with and without him?

Who gives a shit if Watson is better than Baker. What did I say in that post that had said anything otherwise? I ask you why you think Watson could compete in the AFC based on his career that would justify the cost and screwing yourself as a team doing what you did for that value.

And he's a piece of shit scumbag.

So now all of a sudden we find out the front office wanted to shed Mayfield all season long. After all he wasn't Andrew Berry's pic anyway. Many people complain that Baker should have sat when he got hurt and let the mighty Case Keenum lead us to the promised land. Many thought that it was Baker's decision to make as to who started which is not the case. Players don't decide who starts at their position. Let's say it's true Mayfield was actually physically unable to play but stefanski started him anyway. Let's say for the sake of argument we might have won another game or two with Keenum. Why would Stefanski the medical team and the front office start Baker every game knowing they had less of a chance to be victorious? Here's the conspiracy. They did so to make him look bad so the fans wouldn't freak out when they dumped him. If he'd gotten surgery halfway through the season and then got dumped it would really seem like he never got a chance.

    WSS

Meh. I'd be more inclined to believe this if I thought for one second they really cared what the fans think.

If they knew all along they didn't want him, they would have jumped at the chance to put him on IR the rest of the year early, ride the high that was the 2020/2021 season and sell high.

As it is now, they just shit the bed. They are screwed six ways past Sunday and are going to have to pay out the nose for a replacement, or eat a big plate of Crow and ride out the next season with Mayfield, trade him mid season or let him walk and get nothing for him.

There is no way Berry wanted this situation. He is lose/lose for value.

Rather all in or all out...be honest...you really think Baker can compete in this AFC? We had problems with the Ravens and they were destroyed by injuries last year

What makes you think Watson can?

That dude won 4 games his last season in Houston.

The year he had the best WR in football and a top 5 defense he didn't win shit.

Then you throw all your cards on the table to go after him with 22 cases of sexual assault pending, and NFL suspension looming?? Torpedo the value of the guy you have because you just told the whole league you don't believe in him at all? Make your GM look like an liar to the rest of the players on your team?

You wanna do that for Tom Brady? Aaron Rodgers? Russell Wilson? Ok.

    This scumbag? Hard pass.

    • Thanks 2
  8. Oh you mean the 37 year old QB?

WTF are you talking about.... Like that is even close to the same situation.

Guess you forgot what Rodgers did when Green Bay drafted Love.

I could care less if the Browns wanted to move on from Mayfield, but you pull that kinda shit and you get what you get.

Jimmah is going to be lucky if he gets out of this mess with his front office in tact.

  9. Ya, that's what you get Jimmah. You dumbass. You couldn't have messed this whole situation up any worse than you did.  Laughing stock of the NFL once again. Now you get to overpay for a re-thread all because you have to throw the cards all the way on the table for a scumbag POS.

  10. Ya, Josh Gordon smoking some weed is the same thing as 22 people saying you sexually assaulted them.

"Holier" than thou. Ya, I am. Mainly because I've never been accused of sexual assault by 1 woman. Let alone 22.

Let's give up 3 1st and god knows how much so the next 22 can accuse him of the same thing when he pays these ones off.

There were plenty of guys that could have pushed the needle for that kinda price tag.

If he wasn't a QB with some numbers, he would be a footnote on this league

    Screw this guy and Haslem.

I cannot fathom how the Texans are going to net so much draft loot for a guy who is a complete public relations nightmare.

Trading Watson now should be the epitome of "selling low", but it looks like some idiotic team is going to pony up a ton to get someone who should repulse whatever fan base he goes to. Then, there's the upcoming NFL suspension coming his way.

I totally understand why the Browns front office do not want to hitch their wagon to Baker Mayfield. I just can't believe they would be so tone-deaf by trying to replace him with Watson, but then again, Haslam didn't really suffer any consequences for what he did years ago, so its not like he learned anything from it.

I've already had multiple texts from friends that say if they bring in Watson they are done with this team.  Most likely, I'll be on the same route. If you wanted to upgrade and give that much away, you should have overpaid for Wilson... Always figured Jimmah was a scumbag.

  12. There is no way if I'm a GM I'm shelling out multiple first rounders, young defensive talent AND that kinda money in a contract for a guy who is going to be suspended starting the year.  Whining and giving up on your team is a great look too.. Not to mention being hinged on the fact he might get popped by a 23rd woman any day..

If he was a free agent and I'll I had to do was pay him...

I suspect we're stuck with  Hooper 2022. $11 million dead cap hit.

Why has his (and others) OBJ, Landry's production gone south? Hmmm Baker?

Yes, and Landry wants to stay. I'm all for that, with a restructured contract.  :)

I'm not sure if you watched Hooper much, but that guy dropped more passes that hit him in both hands than anybody I've ever seen.

    Berry's worst signing by far.

Congrats to Cincinnati and Joe Burrow. That's the difference between having an elite QB and a bottom 10 QB like Baker. Winners find ways to win. Baker's a loser.

Meh. I'd say their defense put that one to bed for them. (Joe putting up 250 yards and a 86 QBR)  But ya... Ok...
