And I thought Stefanski was nuts on some of those 4th and short plays... but going for it on your own 18 yard line? Nutso.   Regarding the PI that gifted the Raiders a TD? No way in hell that was a catchable ball.

Remember when they went for it on 4th and a mile against us on their own 28 and they got it.....

Baker felt well enough to play, the doctors say he's well enough to play, the coach says he's well enough to play, him practicing during the week says he's well enough to play.

My feeling is that his injuries had zero to do with his poor performance.

I could care less what they do at QB, as long as it's good for the team.

But feeling well enough to get on the field to play has little to do with getting on the field and being 100%

Case Keenum blows. Kev knows it. Went with the best option he had to win.

Christ. Myles Garrett tweaked a groin 3 weeks ago. He's been on the field since and has done NOTHING. Dude lined up against one of the worst OLines in football and couldn't record a sack against a old fat QB.

Here's where I'm at, in terms of how I see it for 2022

    1) If we can get Wilson, Rodgers, or Carr- do it and call it a day. Obviously, the prospect of getting the first two is around 1% but Carr, to me, is a perfect fit for this offense. I think a straight  trade is an intriguing prospect for both teams as well, assuming the Browns dangle a good carrot (say, a 2nd round pick that can turn into a 1st). Raiders might see what Wentz is doing and think Mayfield can be the same?

1A) Mayfield heals up and the Browns bring in some serious, legit competition. I personally don't see any eye popping free agent QB's who fit that mold, so maybe using the 2nd round pick on a prospect lights that fire under his ass.

I like both scenarios on their own, but Carr really, really intrigues me. I think he's everything Stefanski wants Baker to be and could be very attainable.

I think Derrick Carr is the only realistic option. But I don't know about giving up a first or 2nd.  I guess it depends on how much/if they want to move on from Baker. I think sticking with Baker and Drafting someone in the 2nd or 3rd might be better.

I liked Carr more before I saw him play in the game against our backup JV squad.

  4. 1. Draft QB with first round pick. Wait 2-3 years to see if pans out. Fire everybody. Start over.

    2. Give up 3 years of first rounders for a guy with 22 sexual misconduct counts against him. Hope he doesn't go to prison or gets caught again. If does, fire everybody. Start Over.

    Can't wait!

  5. I've watched that replay on Clowney throwing the shoe like 4 times.

WTF was he doing? Was he mad at Claypool for something? Made a great play and then does that.... Then goes over the the sideline and acts like he has no idea how it happened.

Also, I gotta wonder how many Bears fans watching last night thought it was interesting to lose a game to the Steelers because your defender "looked at the other sideline" and drew a taunting penalty,  while Watt tips a ball, then points his finger at another player and yells obscenities at him with impunity

  6. Everybody worried about a QB here... After listening to that press conference... We better start worrying about this freaking head coach...

He literally just threw his rookie Tackle and QB to the wolves and never thought about running against the worst run defense in the league or sliding over a TE.  Those replays of Hudson on Watt, you could have out a wooden board vertical on the field and had more effect on the pass rush. That might screw him up so bad he can't recover

Unless that was the plan. Lose and get higher draft pick while proving you QB can't escape a 2 second rush. If it was. Bravo.

  7. Did Austin Hooper tip drill that pass to the defender?

That guy is making 10 million?

Was Hudson drafted to be a on the OL?

Why the hell is Chubb or Garrett even on the field if Garrett is dropping into coverage and Chubb isn't running the ball...

That was the worst game all around (player, coached) I've seen in a long time. Kev better "watch the tape".....

Has an AFC North rival ever won a game that wasn't handed to them by the refs?

    Just wondering.

Edit: The answer is no. Cincinnati, Baltimore and Pittsburgh every year is inferior to the Browns, but the NFL conspires to give them victories.

    Did you see that play?

Then the "horsecollar" tackle after it? I've watch every second of every Browns game this year. Haven't seen a horse collar tackle called once on either team.

They punt to Mahomes there on their own 20 down 4 and that wraps it up.

When Troy fucking Aikman is saying "man that's a bad call" you know it's terrible.
