They aren't even covering people...

Come on Kev.
Joe Woods sucks, we know that. But how the hell do you run all over them the first possession then go empty set the rest of the way?
How about a long drive there to keep them from getting the ball back before half??

3rd and 4 and we run all our recivers 10-15 yards down field in a bunch formation...
Don't use our best WR who is a possession guy that can get 5 yards Everytime, or our 10 million dollar TE

Two guys had a shot at that…nice throw into double coverage.
And then Walker was two yards deep in the end zone on that pitch play.
Yep. Throw that shit away and punt...
Walker is worthless

How the hell do we leave receivers so wide open on 3rd downs when we aren't even blitzing?

I'll say this, if we don't figure out our red zone offense, we won't win this game and many others this year. I'm not sure what changed from last year, but we're really struggling. Penalties, ugly plays, inefficient pass formations, failed 4th downs, and whatever else...we aren't scoring the ball inside the 20's.
Where are our easy TDs? Every week I watch the NFL and there are simple plays which score. It seems like an act of God for us to punch it in, which is why Baker has only 8 passing tds. Pats have a terrific defense. If we get to the red zone, we need touchdowns or we don't win.
The play calling in the RedZone hasn't been good at all. It's like a one read to a WR and the scramble drill. Last week Landry went out on a slant and fell over and that was basically the entire play. He had to throw it away.
I don't understand why Kev overthinks it down there. He rarely gives it to Chubb inside the 10. I know when Hunt out (which is usually the back in that situation) but run the damn ball. One read jump balls aren't really effective.
I think the last easy RedZone play was the Bronco game when they went play action and threw to to a wide open FB. Seems like that play should work almost every time with our run game.

My only concern about Johnson is catching the ball. He is a little shaky there.
I thought that too. Yet they always have him out there on passing downs. Obviously filling the Hunt role, but before last game I can't remember the last time we threw to Nick. Outside of the Chiefs game last year. I remember his rookie year he made an unbelievable TD catch...

What are we doing at WR this week?I think JoJo is the only practice squad guy we have (Bradley out and Cager on COVID list)
Edit.
Nevermind, looks like Bradley is good to go (I thought I read he was injured) and signed to active this week.
Id like to see this Cager kid. At 6' 5" he'd be interesting

Clamp down and keep hit Joe here. No big plays
-
How the hell do you explain that roughing call to the coach or the player making the tackle.
Not only was it an hour late, but it wasn't even a penalty in the first place.
Bullshit
-
Are you kidding me with that call?!??!

Don't take the foot off the gas...

RedZone play calling has been bad Kev...
Feel like we are trying to get Landry the ball. He fell down on that 3rd down pass and there was nothing else...

How the hell do you call the one push on us when their oline started it all
They radioed down and said to make up a call because the Browns touched Joe and you can't do that.

Bullshit call

Man our defense looks bad.
The one time we blitz and they throw a screen. No way woods blitz's again

That's why they miss Hunt even more he's a great RB and receiver....... hurry back soon !
Ya... An it's aint like DPJ or Landry are heathly.
Id like to see the Cager kid that they have on the PS. 6' 5" 225. But he couldn't crack the starting roster on the Jets so....
-
So do the Browns elevate a WR from the PS for this game? Or can they? Is OBJ officially released?
They have
Landry, Higgins, Schwartz and DPJ.
If DPJ can't go that leaves them with three...

Yes nickers- I know we should have royally screwed him over, and sent him to the Lions. He totally deserved it after the bullshit he pulled this week. However, take the long view as to how other players in the NFL would see Cleveland as a potential landing spot had we done so.
All I can say is if Berry paid him 7.5 mil and then let him go free to basically sign where ever he wants to play against him, he must not be worried to much about his abilities.
Reminds me of that scene in Moneyball when Billy Beane is talking to David Justice in the cage and David Justice cops and attitude and says, "You're paying me 7 million a year, so maybe I am special"
Billy Beane says.... "Nah man, I'm not paying you 7 million. The Yankees are. That's how much the Yankees think of you. They are paying you to play against them."

Wonder why all these national media outlets think he is in the same category as those other WR's?
Watch Berry's press conference he said something that stuck out. "The Offense is set up to throw and take advantages of the miss matches. That why we have so many different receivers that get the ball and why each game has different leading receivers"
My feeling after hearing that and seeing Berry pay the guy 7.5 million to play against him the rest of the year is he doesn't think Beckham is anywhere close to tier one.

And a hobbled QB on the sidelines.
Ya I turned it on to see this Mike White kid and now he is hurt.
This Taylor RB for the Colts is ripping it up, but the holes he is getting is unreal.

Well if a guy named Mike White hangs 400 yards on the Cinn defense with the Jets offense I guess we will have to see where the Browns offense really is.
