Browns fans swing helmets at a Mason Rudolph piñata. Now that’s a tailgate party!

Cool shirt but that would depend on what constitutes "starting it"...Myles unnecessary roughness or Red Nose's hissy fit retaliation?
Myles Garrett, Browns: Unnecessary roughness, Unsportsmanlike conduct, Fighting, Removing Helmet of Opponnent, Using Helmet as Weapon, indefinite unpaid suspension plus $45,623
So you stab me because I called you a dirty rotten name and I should be punished more severely? I instigated it.
Absurdity thrives in homerism.
An eye for an eye, gouge mine, I go for yours. Simple.

In a fistfight, I'd totally agree.
The nfl does not list him as the instigator. Just that he was involved. There is no justice at all in this. Myles was wrong no doubt. But so were others.

Gee, the NFL fined miss mason $50,000. Kinda steep for being “innocent”

Unusual for me to do this on a Friday....but I let a week go by after you know what......which, by the way, is NO part of this survey.
So, give your answers or opinions:
1. Give your assessment of the chances of the Browns making the playoffs this year, either as odds or as a percentage.
1. Playoffs? Slim and none
2. What player, or players, really need to step up their game for the rest of this season to give this team a chance to get there?
2. All. That’s why it’s a true team game
3. Which Browns loss so far this year has been the most damaging to their playoff hopes?
3. All of them were equal except 9ers. NFC doesn’t matter as much
4. Besides Jim Brown, who was named last night.....What other Browns players in the past should be named to the Top 100 NFL players in 100 Years list?
4. Otto Graham and Lou Groza
5. See the discussion in the Pittsburgh Sucks thread, wherein I state that it is really just Steeler fans that suck (they do), but not actually the city of Pittsburgh itself, which can otherwise be fine. However.....name a city that you think really DOES suck as a place to be or visit, and which you would never really want to go to.
5. Been to pissbirg numerous times. It totally sucks to get anywhere around that cursed town.. there might be attractions but by the time you get there, it’s closed.. Concerts there? Everybody has their own cop. Very oppressive. Fuck pigsbirg! -

I had a bad experience recently with some cubed steak I bought at a Kroger's. Even after they had run it through the tenderizer, about 1/2 of it was inedible, unless you happened to be a dog. Beyond chewy.
I've noticed Kroger's and grocery stores in general stock the meat department based on the relative affluence (or not) of the neighborhood. My po' folks Kroger's stocks that ultra high sodium country ham that you don't see out in the 'burbs.
OTOH the Morton's steakhouse beef that's available at Pat O'Bryans nigh on to Gates Mills would never sell almost anywhere else.
Get your beef where the farmers do. There must be a local slaughterhouse/processor near you. Most have freezer meat there and it will be good quality. Cattle farmers have the best steaks for a reason. I wouldn’t even buy hotdogs at a chain grocery store let alone steaks.

Just in case
They switched for the Oakland- K.C. Game. That was deemed a better match up than Browns at Stoolville by the tv honchos

Why would it have been in the 4:25 spot anyway?
They said it was going to be a national TV game. Now it’s just regional tv. I thought someone mentioned security reasons too. They do love their drama

Just saw it. The stealer game has been flexed from 4:25 pm to 1:00 pm.

I don't often agree with PoeticG's take.... But how do they get around the rule book on this one? The rule book specifically says 15 yard Penalty and ejection from the game.
I'm not sure what the union's stance is on this, but if they don't want their member to lose money.... their lawyers could have a field day. How do you just change the rules?
You don’t get around the rule book. But it gets changed at a whim it seems. The book says one game. And there’s no IFs about it. I thought this kind of behavior was reserved for D. C.

so am I. But I'm also intelligent - i also hate the steelers and how they get away with garbage. I never once excused Garrett at all.
What do you call a freakin pro nfl qb that throws a hissy fit over being legally sacked on the last play of a game, tries to rip off the helmet of the great DE who just easily sacked him cleanly, and tries to scratch his eyes out??? whatever, and then kicks the DE in the groin twice WHILE THE DE IS BEING RESTRAINED, then after that, said quarterback goes after to punch the DE AGAIN, while the DE is still being RESTRAINED?
I'll delete my other post that got moved and buried... read this:
*********************************************
I have a few questions for Troy Vincent, NFL guy who decided punishments.
"Vincent also explained his thinking on suspending Browns defensive end Larry Ogunjobi, who ran up to a stationery Rudolph from behind and shoved him to the ground just moments after he had been struck in the head by Garrett with the helmet. Rudolph had already suffered one concussion this season, when he was knocked out cold by Earl Thomas in the Ravens games last month. He missed one game with it.
"This is an individual who, in our view, was going out of his way to escalate this situation," Vincent said. "This is an action that could start another melee. It is a potential re-escalation."
**********************************************************
So, Troy... wasn't the ripping on Garrett's helmet, kicks to Garrett's groin.. an "escalation" ???
Wasn't Garrett, allowing himself to be restrained with no animosity towards DeCastro, and pulled away from sissy mason....
the victim of sissy mason's attacking Garrett AGAIN? Is not the latter ANOTHER RE-ESCALATION ?
And why, if Ogunjobi gets suspended one game for a re-escalation...why not sissy mason?
For the integrity? of the NFL, I believe somebody needs to ask Troy Vincent just what the hell is going on with his logic of not suspending sissy mason, who STARTED the entire fiasco, who RE-ESCALATED the entire fiasco.
No freaking wonder refs aren't held accountable, eh, Troy?
****************************************
part of my beef is, the serious lack of fairness. Ogunjobi - suspended for one game for an action they called "re-escaltion".
So why...in...the...hell..... isn't what sissy mason did, in going after Garrett again... not deescalation???
It's a simple freaking good question. Try answering it, instead of bitching some smart ass stuff at me.
*********************************************
Fact, the guy that started it all, mason is a white dude and got a fine. You saw the video. The three that got suspended are all brothers. Might seem fair to roger but not me.

The current CBA expires at the end of the 2020 season....next year. Some issues I think will be in play:
A. A new disciplinary procedure needs to be instituted. Right now, one guy, (Troy Vincent currently) metes out all the fines, suspensions, etc. And while there is an appeal...that goes just to the Commissioner, Goodell. He occasionally revises punishment...but only occasionally and not by much. In the past this has caused a whole can of worms. I personally think that the NFL should have a disciplinary panel....made of up player reps (if not current ones because they are kinda busy, but maybe recently retired guys), management reps, and attorneys/magistrates...legal officials. Any appeals should go to like a 3 judge panel (just like regular court appeals do)...who, yes, should be like retired judges. The commissioners office should stay out of it completely IMO.
B. Dope. Dope...Marijuana testing will be eliminated. The only kind of discipline that should be applied would be if someone like got caught driving under the influence (that includes alcohol, MJ, other street drugs, or prescription drugs. Right how, I guess, maybe, they should perhaps still test for like cocaine, meth, etc. ..more to get people help than to discipline them.
C. The Franchise Tag....will be an issue for discussion. Players apparently hate it. Not sure why when under it they become at least one of the top 5 paid players at their positions.
D. I know the whole 18 game season/reduced preseason issue will be on board. I really do not like the idea of an 18 game season...but I really hate the idea of continuing with the current preseason format.
E. Healthcare. For current and retired players. Always a concern. And include side health issues...like CTE testing etc.
F. Money.....ALWAYS money. How do the players and owners divide up the huge revenues they receive.
Can you all think of anything else?
What about practice? I say bring it back. Lack of hurts both parity and play.
