The current CBA expires at the end of the 2020 season....next year.    Some issues I think will be in play:

    A.  A new disciplinary procedure needs to be instituted.  Right now, one guy,  (Troy Vincent currently)  metes out all the fines, suspensions, etc.  And while there is an appeal...that goes just to the Commissioner, Goodell.   He occasionally revises punishment...but only occasionally and not by much.   In the past this has caused a whole can of worms.   I personally think that the NFL should have a disciplinary panel....made of up  player reps   (if not current ones because they are kinda busy, but maybe recently retired guys),  management reps,  and  attorneys/magistrates...legal officials.   Any appeals should go to like a 3 judge panel  (just like regular court appeals do)...who, yes, should be like retired judges.  The commissioners office should stay out of it completely IMO.

    B. Dope.   Dope...Marijuana testing will be eliminated.  The only kind of discipline that should be applied would be if someone like got caught driving under the influence (that includes alcohol, MJ, other street drugs, or prescription drugs.    Right how, I guess, maybe, they should perhaps still test for like cocaine, meth, etc. ..more to get people help than to discipline them.

    C.  The Franchise Tag....will be an issue for discussion.  Players apparently hate it.  Not sure why when under it they become at least one of the top 5 paid players at their positions.

    D.  I know the whole  18 game season/reduced preseason issue will be on board.  I really do not like the idea of an 18 game season...but I really hate the idea of continuing with the current preseason format.

    E. Healthcare.   For current and retired players.  Always a concern.   And include side health issues...like CTE testing etc.

    F. Money.....ALWAYS money.  How do the players and owners divide up the huge revenues they receive.

Can you all think of anything else?

You mention recreational types of drug testing that I’m fine with. But what about PEDs?  How far do you think they take the testing for steroid types of drugs? Or amphetamines?  They seem to put more emphasis on drugs that would decrease performance ( pot alcohol)  rather than the ones that artificially increase it. Of course then again, watching the drunks play in the 60s and 70s was kinda fun.

  2. I guess you gotta look at the city. Pissburg is such a crappy place to live  that the nfl must feel sorry for the people that have to live there and makes sure their football team excels even if it is through cheating and rule changes on the fly.   You can see plain as day what happened on video and yet the nfl tells you they’re being fair.... haha haha, what a crock. Must be a PC thing.

Out of curiosity more than anything, how does the suspension affect Garrett’s wallet? Has anyone seen that aspect reported? I assume the Browns are off the hook for whatever paychecks would otherwise be due to him for the length of the suspension, but l haven’t seen it reported.

No fines on Myles. But loss of game checks is pretty big. He draws no pay while suspended

I discovered a tasty but easy game day snack. A variation of nachos with melted cheese.

    1 plate of nachos

    1 clove of garlic

    shredded cheese to taste

Pretty easy recipe. Spread the nachos evenly on a plate. Slice the garlic as thin as possible, like Goodfellas thin if you can manage it. Sprinkle the thin garlic slices evenly on the nachos and then cover with shredded cheese, as much or as little as you like. Microwave in increments of 15-30 seconds until the cheese is melted.

The garlic roasts a little bit in the microwave and compliments the salty/crunchy/cheesy goodness.

Add salsa, jalapeños, guacamole or whatever else you dig with nachos.

Try that with a mix of pepperoni and mozzarella cheese for a pizza flavored nacho.

    Good quick munchies

  5. The helmet don’t fit, you must acquit. ... lol.
Did you hear the one about a brain dead QB picking a fight with the baddest dude on the team?
He lost his last brain cell.
Myles assaults no one. He retaliated. Now we’re stuck with The Rudy That Stole Christmas  by a bunch of piss stained assholes

It's seriously hilarious that you think he was trying to Gouge out his fucking eyes through his facemask. It's pretty clear you've never had a football helmet on.

Go see an eye dr. Your worse than Garrett. He’s being honest. Your just an anal bred liar.

I actually wonder if the squealers set up Garrett to be suspended. Garrett didn't tackle him and hurt him, so

sissy mason had to go after Garrett. I do wonder what sissy mason said to Garrett - Kitchens didn't say...

and Ogunjobi got a one game suspension. I can't believe sissy mason didn't get a one or two game.

What the ? Ogunjobi pushed him down. One game. Sissy Mason tried to break Garrett's neck by ripping off his helmet, kicked Garrett in the groin about twice, and went after Garrett a SECOND TIME, and the pic clearly shows sissy mason's hand on Garrett's jaw, while Garrett was being RESTRAINED. again. the biggest coward in the whole melee was sissy mason.

Didn't know this - missed it somehow -

    https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/browns-sign-de-bryan-cox

the backups listed in the depth chart:

    Myles Garrett Chad Thomas
    LDT Larry Ogunjobi

    Devaroe Lawrence

    RDE Olivier Vernon Chris Smith

Chad Thomas and Chris Smith - I hope they play great, get sacks, and don't get hurt. I hope Cox is ready to roll pretty soon.

Yep, Garrett should have dropped the helmet. But I think "indefinate" is bogus - only that because it was a squealer sissy qb.

Not Fair League heads would literally explode if that same situation would have happened in a game between shitsburg and baaaston.  Couple of $5 fines and say boys will be boys

Myles and the rest of our starters should have NEVER been on the field after we went up by 14. He needed to be aware that Pittsburgh are sore losers and were baiting, or worse, trying to injure our guys. Next time with a healthy lead and no chance for the other team to come back, pull those starters.

It’s well known how poor the sportsmanship is in turdburg. Gotta remember tho that the NFL is a piss poor loser too. Don’t mess with their pretty boys

  10. Judy was the instigator and gets a minor fine. More fine and fair officiating from the NFL.  Oh well,  gotta admit tho, the look on red noses face when he got doinked with his own helmet then shoved on his ass was pretty funny... priceless even. Judy got Jonesed... lol

His value is with teams starting their gameplan to account for his presence and ending the discussion with “find Myles Garrett”.  Maybe pose this question to the 10 offensive coordinators that the Browns played.

How do you need to game plan for him? He’s gone now and will have a bullseye on him. If he can’t play, his worth is nada

  12. What has garret done for us? Game changing plays? Turnovers? D scores? Yes he’s been disruptive but that gets balanced by penaltys.  I haven’t seen his value yet. Coach don’t help any either.

yea not quite sure that's accurate.

Unless he can really change. But then again, how long will the leash be the nfl gives him? He’s gonna have fingers pointed at him his whole career. I mean, even Harrison called him dirty. Between the fines, penalty’s and unwanted attention, what’s he done for us?

i still have my geeky thoughts 🤓 on to as whom, actually bought all those tickets up at a record pace..Ebay/stubhub seems to have loads of them at a large profit price :P

I’m sure you’re right. But there again, play winning football and all those extra tickets probably disappear faster than a rumor flies.

Emily? really? I have seen nothing on this, being out of state... can you expand on her job roles & what it includes (social media?)...interesting/Thanks!

And I did see her explain about being quiet for the offense and noisy for D. And it was noted about so many away fans being here. I understand why so many end up selling their tickets but it does have a detrimental effect on the team too.  Only one real cure for that tho and it starts with a W.
