  1. Well clay got passed over again. The only thing i disagree with the players that were selected was Calvin Williams and Alan Fanaca. Maybe next year.
  2. All I can say is after the much improved season the Browns had, what other way to finish this season by selecting a long time player into the H.O.F. with Clay Matthews.
  3. Well fellow Browns fans, tomorrow we will know if the long time linebacker will be inducted into the H.O.F. He should be inducted. He happens to be me my all time favorite player on the Browns. And i'm sorry but Tony Boselli doesn't belong on this list. He didn't play long enough. So if Tony Boselli gets in and Clay Mathews doesn't, oh hell, im going to call the election board a bunch of frauds.
  4. Our former OT Tony Jones as passed away at the young age of 54. One big dawg and awesome blocker. So sad.
  5. If he couldn't make it in Washington, how is he going to make it in Pittsburgh?
  6. There is no way he can be serious with that thought. If that rule were to be put into play it would mean all players that have an in jury could hold up a game because your better player is not well enough? He is living in a dream world. I guess he is scared that the Bills might win because the Chiefs QB isn't playing. So sorry. Next man up.
  7. i'm very happy the Browns had a winning season, long over due. And the Chiefs game was looking to be a blowout until P. Mahomes was declared out for the game. Then we got robbed on the No Helmet to helmet contact hit at the one yard line that caused a fumble that resulted a touchback and gave the ball back to the Chiefs at the 20. TOTALLY got cheated. We could have taken the lead with a possible TD and may have won the game.
  8. I wanted to send out this info about a nice looking, BROWNS satin jacket, size Large (YOUTH). I have this jacket, and looking to give this to anyone who has a young child who wants to look good in a brown satin jacket. No rips, tears, dirt, or scuff marks. In perfect condition. Looks awesome on a sunny day with the sun shinning on it. Comes from a non-smoking home. All I ask for is the cost for shipping. I want to let you all know its a first come, first serve basis. Your welcome to contact me at - footballholic247@gmail.com GO BROWNS !
  9. I seen a photo of Jim Brown holding a t-shirt of the Browns and its 75th anniversary for 2021. Can anyone find out if the team will wear a special patch on the jersey next year for this historical moment in NFL.
  10. I will agree to that 100%. Time for the Browns to get the respect it used to have when the Browns were playoff contenders often. It would be so good to see the Steelers fall from top to bottom and let them be bottom dwellers for awhile. Time for the Browns to compete with the Ravens for AFC North titles.
  11. I'm a long time fan of the NFL, and the Super Bowl is what every team wants to reach every year. All you want is to be called NFL CHAMPIONS. Personally, I don't feel that the S B trophy should be named after anyone. This is also not a world championship. Its only national here in the U.S. We play for the NFL (National Football League) The WLAF was known as The WORLD League of American Football. Meaning the American teams played against other teams from other countries, Germany, Spain, London, Canada, The title of Lombardi and World Champions should be removed from this trophy, an just keep it what it truly is, NFL CHAMPIONSHIP. And no coach should be labeled on this NFL trophy. The George Halas and Lamar Hunt trophies are different topics.
  12. This is a simple fact to live by. Prior to the 1967 NFL/AFL CHAMPIONSHIP aka Super Bowl 1, The NFL had their final games known as Championship game. Back in the late 40's and through out the 50's and mid 60's, the Browns were a dominating team, winning 8 championships. Since the final game of the season is now called the Super Bowl, many fans don't credit these past championships, well their wrong. The NFL championship game back then is equal to today's Super Bowl. Yes there were less games played way back then, but no matter how you look at it, The Cleveland Browns are NFL Champions, even if there hasn't been a trip to today's Super Bowl.
  13. Hi Steelers fan, that's a nice posting, wouldn't expect those type of postings from our arch rivals, but your greeting is welcomed by me. Yes we havea young, talented team, and hopefully this team can get back to being AFC North Champs for the 1st.time.
  14. Let's not single out any players, they need to keep up the pressure and not let them gain yards by giving them too much room to catch passes. So, lets give the game ball for the head coach who filled in and got a very impressive win.
  15. All I want is a steady attack from our defense, keep their QB on edge, and force him to throw the ball away. Keeping close quarters on the big TE, T. Kelce will also be a factor. Cover him like a shadow, don't let him out play you. And our DB's need to keep check on their WR's. Don't let them catch anything. Cover them tight, don't give them any space to make a play. And of course, we need to keep running the ball heavy. Let Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb do their thing and power their way down the field and into the endzone.
  16. The Browns and the Steelers have always been a rivalry, its just that the Steelers have had the best of the Browns in the winner column. Yes its been a lopsided recorded since the 1999 return, but win or lose, its always special when we meet eachother. GO BROWNS.
  17. Its a long rivalry, and yes this battle has been back and forth over the decades, but there is a few moments when the Browns did demolish the Steelers at their house. 1. 1989 week 1, Browns at Steelers - 51-0 2 2003 Sunday Night Football, pre-game chatter, Steelers Joey Porter talking smack, saying after the game when you get on that highway to go home, your going home loser's, well joey that didn't happen, Browns beat them 33-13. 3. 2020 week 17 Browns win game and enter the Playoffs 4. 2021 Wildcard - Browns devastate the Steelers at their house, sending their season to an end.
  18. Yes I agree, hope the family is doing ok, and gets back to full strength asap.
  19. I just had a wild and crazy thought. Can you imagine this match up, the Browns meet the former Browns now the Ravens in a AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game that would lead to the Super Bowl. In the words of the late Dick Enberg - OH MY !!!
  20. OK, here we go, last nights win was a dramatic victory in the Steelers house. Now its off to Kansas City. We need to stay strong. The return of Kareem Hunt, and I hope the game plans have him running a lot in this match up.
  21. With all the making of a major upset to the Steelers, I have one issue with our DB's. We game them way way too much room to catch all the passing going on from the QB. We allowed them to move down the field , catch after catch, and then scoring. The 3rd & 4th QTR was a very concerning part of the game because Ben Roethlisberger was just throwing, and throwing, and gaining yard after yard. We can not allow this to be a issue playing the CHIEFS. T. Kelce is going to be their main target, so lets study how to contain him and still put pressure on P. Maholmes.
  22. WOW, This is such a wonderful morning. The Browns gave the arch rival Steelers and major beatdown. I couldn't believe what is was seeing, 28 1qtr points, and NFL RECORD for most points score in 1st qtr playoffs. Im sure all the NFL annalists who picked the Steelers are all saying, WHAT THE ??? Yeah, the Browns meant business and got a major win last night. Now its off to Kansas City.
  23. Does anyone know what the road uniform for the Browns will be this week? Will it be white jersey with the white pants, or white jersey with the brown pants, or maybe the classic orange pants?
  24. Here is a guy we need to pay very close attention to. He is quick, and can catch almost everything Ben Roethlisberger throws to him. We need to cover him so close, we can smell his breath. No grabbing, no interference calls, just stick to him so he cant catch anything. Our defensive line will put pressure on Ben to force the ball and hopefully cause interceptions.
  25. Well it that time of year again for past players to be nominated as finalist for the next inductee's into the H.O.F. Clay Mathews is among the group again. I sure hope he gets in this year. The man played 19 yrs in the NFL as a good LB. Started his career in 1978 along with Ozzie Newsome. The Jaguars OT Tony Boselli is also a finalist. But I don't feel his time in the NFL should be even close to be elected. He only played 6 yrs. There are countless OT who played many years for a team, and don't get the praise that Boselli is getting.
