  1. May I ask if your an Irishman? My ancestry dates back to Ireland, but I don't know where exactly. My Great Grandfather was from Ireland.
  2. Wow I don't like the sounds of these 2 headlines. Hope the issues will not effect this weeks Steelers game, or any future games. Scary crap with this crazy health issue floating all over.
  3. Well its Steelers week. Time to face our arch rivals. And even though the Browns aren't actually playing in London, we are facing Big Ben. Our defense led by Myles Garrett has to put major pressure on #7, make him rush his decision on what to do, and hit him and bring him down. Hoping he has elbow problems to prevent him from passing. Our offense has to dominate the field in all areas. Spread the ball around to make the Steelers wonder where the ball is going next. Make sure our receivers catch everything that is thrown, and gain massive yards and sum it up with a TD. If our defense can suffocate their offense, we can win this game. Remember , big ben doesn't come down easily, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall. GO BROWNS !!
  4. Yes, and I hope Miles don't rip off any helmets and swing it at the player.
  5. HOW BOUT THEM BROWNS !! WOW i'm loving to see this team win games and scoring points. As of today, the Browns are 4-1. Haven't had a record like this since way back in 1994. It feels good to see a team you have cheered for have a winning record . I know its early, and crazy things happen from week to week. Just look what happened to Dak Prescott of the Cowboys. We face the long time rivals the Steelers this week. I feel we can beat them. The Steelers didn't look too impressive against the Eagles this past week. GO BROWNS !!
  6. Last nights game was very good. We got the win, and looked pretty damn good. The uniforms looked so sleek and cool. I love the brown jersey and the classic orange pants from the 70's / 80's. Days of Brian Sipe, Greg Pruitt, Mike Pruitt, Cleo Miller on offense and on defense we had Clay Matthews, Lyle Alzdo, Jerry Sherk, Dick Ambrose.
  7. Last nights running attack looked awesome. So glad to see a running game eat up yards for positive gain. Seeing Chubb and Hunt run the way they did reminded me of the mid 80's when we had 2 1,000 yrd rushers in the same year with E. Byner & K. Mack. Would it be possible to have these two runners gain the yards that Byner & Mack did?
  8. Wow what a night for a ground attack. Chubb ran with force last night. He was chuga- lugging down the field eating up the yards. And Hunt was doing it as well. Keep the pressure going each week, run run run.
  9. WHOA ! All orange, why that's very different. and very interesting to see. The orange jersey hasn't been used since the Tim Couch days.
  10. Ok so its Thursday Night Football. That's when teams wear their alternate uniforms. So, will the Browns be wearing their all brown uniforms, and the Bengals wearing their all white uniforms?
  11. This game is always a favorite match up for me as a Browns fan. This game is big only because of the Heisman winners of Mayfield, and Burrow. If the Browns lose tonight to this Bengals team, its going to be a long week until next Sunday's game. There wont be enough words to express concerns about this teams efforts to win not only big important games, but every game. If the Browns win, it will be time to exhale and breathe a sign of relief and prep for the next game with a few extra days to study for.
  12. This is a type of question that a non-sports fan or a non- browns fan can answer. Any BROWNS fan would want a Super Bowl win, or even a Super Bowl appearance. I don't know how many more years I have ahead of me, i'm 57 now, I hope to see the Browns make it to a Super Bowl, and win it of course. GO BROWNS.
  13. Here we are, ready to start the 2020 season, and the battle for bragging rights are here in week 2. No barking in the dawg pound this season.I love the Browns, the long time rivalry for the best of Ohio is a match up in the headlines. 2 Heisman winners, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow. Baker may have the upper hand in aggressiveness, and the want to win. Burrow is scrappy and will make plays on his own to keep the ball moving. Its the Browns home opener, lets put our pro talents on the field and start showing what type of winner this browns team can be. If we lose this game, its going to hurt all of us, and it will look like another season down the drain early. GO BROWNS
  14. Yeah I watched some of it. The hard part is watching roster cut down day, when players get that call from coaches. Its a sinking feeling knowing your being turned away.
  15. If the season is not able to start as scheduled, what would you prefer, a full schedule to play and just have it extended into Feb, or will you want the season to start on whatever week is scheduled and finish the season as planned? I would accept either way, but if the first few games are missed, how do the teams declare division winners if teams miss divisional games? Because some teams may play a divisional game 2 weeks in a row.
  16. I agree im not looking for the young QB to get injured, just saying that it could happen on a wrong move on the QB by avoiding a tackle. Strickly innocent tackle play.
  17. Well if that's not being a true fan of high hopes, then I don't know what else it can be. As of now, the Browns QB/ WR duo will always have a better rating than the Bengals ROOKIE QB who hasn't put his uniform on yet. And UNTIL the Bengals QB/WR duo has a better rating, then this is not a matter of concern. Who knows, the Browns might be the one to shorten Joe Burrow's rookie season with a injury by getting sacked .
  18. Here is how I look at the career's of NFL's winning coaches. If your going to base a coach on most games won per season, that includes all playoff and Super Bowls , then you have to include the coaches from the earliest years. There was no Super Bowls prior to 1967. So the highest level a team can earn is the NFL CHAMPIONSHIP. and back in those early years, they only played 12-14 games. So if you took George Halas, Paul Brown, Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula, Chuck Noll, and Bill Bellicheck's total career win's, only the top 4 coaches with most wins should be honored as a member on Mt. Rushmore.
  19. How many of you out there remember the original WLAF that started with 10 teams in 1991-92? I was a fan of the team called The San Antonio Riders. I chose to cheer for that team only because their team colors were brown and gold.
  20. What about the CHICAGO BEARS . That stadium has been around along time. Just updated new seats and suites etc.
  21. Ok, here is an off topic, but just interested in hearing if you ever have thought of your own fantasy team? As for me, my team colors would be Brown, Gold, and White. I like the New Orleans Saints uniforms, so I look at their uniforms and would change the black to brown. As for a team name, i'm thinking of the American indian theme as maybe, the apache's, or worriors, or something with gambling like the 4 Ace's, or a western theme, such as the Lawmen. I already have a logo design for the LAWMEN team. My team helmet would be gold with 2 brown stripes and one white stripe, and a brown facemask.. A team logo of both sides of the helmet. Home jersey would be all brown with thin gold , and white sleeve stripes, and white numbers trimmed in gold. 2 home pants variations. Gold pants with a wide brown stripe, and a white pants with 2 brown stripes with one gold stripe. Away jersey would be white with brown numbers trimmed in gold, thin brown and gold sleeve stripes. The away pants are the same as the other pant variation. I know this may be way out there but it looks good in my thoughts.
  22. My collection consists of football card team sets ranging from the 60's to most recent years. I have about 80 games on dvd from late 70's to present. I also have the 1st MNF game of the Browns - Jets. I have autographed mini-helmet signed by Leroy Kelly, various football cards signed by players, Eric Metcalf, Clay Matthews, and even Coach B. Bellicheck. Various McFARLANE figures and I customized several to represent, Brian Sipe, Clay Matthews, Bernie Kosar, Tim Couch, Ozzie Newson, Ernest Byner, and Tom Cousineau, and one of Baker Mayfield. 2 special footballs, and 3 different 3 x5 ft flags. I have one here at my desk in my work office. White Baker Mayfield jersey, and a brown Bernie Kosar jersey. Several die cast matchbox trucks, a few Starting - Line Up figures, and 3 1999 Burger King Dawg Pound plush items. And a assortment of little items. I had a special graduation tassel made in Browns team colors of brown, orange and white.
  23. The only thing I can do without on draft day is that there are too many family members in the back room with the draftee's. Too much hugging and kissing going on. It takes some guys over 5 minutes to finish kissing and hugging family members around the table. You have all night to celebrate with family afterwards.
  24. Colleen Wolfe is married to a local sports journalist here in Philadelphia, his name is John Gonzalez.
