  1. Actually, it was more than 1 person. And no, it doesn't surprise me. Its just hypocritical. And your 1st statement is nowhere near a fact, but let's overlook that since you want to call someone out for not telling it exactly how you want. Everyone here, including me, can have the assumption or opinion that Big Ben committed sexual assault. But he wasn't convicted of that. He may have settled a lawsuit, that does not mean guilt. A lot of people when dealing with a lawsuit, and having means, will settle to avoid the long process. Now, before coming at someone, maybe just maybe you should do a little research instead of thinking you know. I actually went back and read some of the comments about Hunt and others with similar issues. When he wasn't a member of the Browns, the discussion sounded different. And obviously you aren't a very critical thinker. When the statement says "would everyone..." that is in no way shape or form making everyone like minded. Oh, you need an example to prove that, sure why not. "Would everyone here feel like Tom Brady was a great guy if he weren't the Patriots QB?" You see, in the presence of a question, there is no statement, therefore no assumption of everyone being the same. But, I digress. How about you man, do YOU think that Hunt's suspension would be discussed about having time served, giving him the benefit of doubt, and accepting his apology in the same way IF he had signed with Pittsburgh? Again, I have zero issue with him being signed. I have zero issue with the suspension no matter the length.
  2. Way different point. The point I am making is if he had signed with Steelers, or another player on Patriots had the same issue, would everyone say the same things about him? If history is correct, then no. I'll look at it like this, and it's not to call someone out. But there has been talk that his games missed already should count as his punishment. If Hunt had signed with Pittsburgh, would people be adamant that they should count?
  3. Don't know your situation, but from the post here it seems that you see no difference, or would have no opinion one way or the other, if a man assaulted your son vs daughter. I have no problem with the Browns signing Hunt. I just think that people should use the same rules for a Browns player vs another teams player with chances and benefits. If someone is going to RIP a player for assault or DV, then dont try to qualify for a player on your team. I don't think ANYONE here is trying to defend his actions, that isn't my point. The point is, if he had signed with Steelers I think the talk and outcome of suspension would be different.
  4. I'm not saying he couldn't be a good QB, I am saying that it doesn't prevent him from being hit and potentially injured. Those "hits" you brought up. Look at it this way. Barry Sanders was quicker, he took shots, and was also not in a stationary position. Mike Vick took shots and he had more top end speed. Look at a small slot receiver, that is the size of KM. You seem to be speaking of him that he is less prone to being hit, where there is really no evidence in that. And if hit, he is smaller to withstand those hits. You think he will hold up well getting shots from Aaron Donald? Khalil Mack? Luke Kuechly? If he inherited the 90's Cowboys OL, then he would be greatly protected. But Cardinals, Giants, Jaguars, Oakland? Those are not good lines. Its really hard to compare guys now with even 10 years ago, as the offenses are so much more wide open. But one of the worst throwers of the football in memory, according to almost all is Tim Tebow. His college completion percentage, 66.4. To compare, KM, 67.4. Blake Bortles, 65.7. So to say he has such a great arm, never know until he is in the league.
  5. Murray has a little more quickness, but not anywhere close to speed of RG3 or Michael Vick, how did those work out. People seem to look at speed/quickness/strength in college and just think it translates the exact same to pros, but that isn't the case.
  6. Deion avoiding contact a lot. QBs cant help but so much how much they get hit, it is somewhat dependent position, as they are depending on line to block, and stationary at times. Also aren't a lot of late hits/ roughing on defenders. The odds of getting hit are exponentially higher for QBs
  7. The major question isn't what he would make at the beginning though. It's what he could make over the course of his career. I don't think hes going in thinking he will fail. And the other thing is how much of a price do you put on health. You are going to get hurt, question is when, how bad, and how often. Brady has been about the healthiest you will see, and he missed a season.
  8. The funniest thing I heard from him about the Browns, "they have a little success and they act some way, this is the same organization that thought Bill Belichick wasnt any good." I have never tweeted in my life, but wanted to tweet him just to tell him how wrong and stupid he was, THAT organization is one that he praises. He is a talking head, and when he makes a prediction, instead of going back on it, he doubles down and shows he is rooting against anything good
  9. Yes, I know that. That was my EXACT point in my post, Manny Diaz left Miami to be HC at Temple, days later went back to Miami. Kingsbury took OC job for USC in December, less that a month later he leaves them. Still don't see what to give credit for?
  10. I dont know what you are giving him credit for?
  11. In a couple weeks, the Browns could probably land Manny Diaz and Kliff Kingsbury, they dont seem to stay at a job they get hired to for more than a couple weeks. Then in the weeks that follow, we can revisit this lol
  12. Without ever meeting any of you guys, and never talking to the man, I consider the ones I have conversed with pals, even Ghoolie. Prayers to his wife, children, family, friends, and all of you guys who knew him. Its never easy losing someone close, even harder when it is unexpected. Father, we pray that you take care of Stan, like we know you will. And we pray you ease the hearts of all those he left behind and help them get through these tough times and celebrate all the good times he had. Amen
