I went with Grover Cleveland this year, whose given first name is Stephen. He's famous for being the only President to serve 2 non-consecutive terms, and he liked smoking cigars and drinking beer, prompting Fitness Magazine to label him one of the least healthiest Presidents.

I think most of the lists l’ve seen in my life re: this topic almost always have Harrison at the bottom, mostly because he only made it a month into his first term before kicking it. This list has 4 dudes ranked worse than him, lol.

I thought you were joking. I ran into a paywall, it’s been a while since l tried to read the Blaze. When did it become subscription based? Nonetheless, the 4 paragraphs l could read were weird af.

I saw his Superbowl ad and took a peek at his website. Link below.
I figure he’s dead in the water as both parties will team up to squash his candidacy. Still, interesting move with the guy being a Kennedy and all, and his ideas aren’t too half baked from the bit l read.

It’s certainly portrayed that way at the national level. I suppose my comment was pertaining more to interests relative to media that we consume to satisfy those interests.
By and large, when you’re in to something, whether it be classic cars, stamp collecting, Browns football or whatever, it’s normal to seek out media on those things. Typically the media we seek out is uplifting and supports our interest in a positive way.
Politics seems to be an anomaly where the media that really gets action is the stuff that pisses us off. We actually seek out negative material to read, and invariably it turns in to a spring board for arguments. This thread is a microcosm of that.
Just an observation, l’m not above it or anything, but l do think it’s interesting. For anyone teetering on the brink of mental health issues politics is probably not a good interest to have.

This flick dropped on Apple+ recently, l watched it last night. It was definitely interesting and had its moments. I consider myself a Scorsese fan and l thought he did a fantastic job. I guess my main gripe is, as the flick went on, l ran outta characters that l actually liked.

I read the article in the OP. He’s depicted as a pretty miserable dude. 32 years old, still lives with his folks, career never took off. He tried to sue the US govt for allowing him to take out student loans. I get there’s a lotta useless college degrees out there, but most of us suck it up and don’t blame the govt for it. He tried to sue his former employer too.
Politics was probably not a good choice of an interest for a guy like that, unless he wanted to be more miserable. There’s plenty of outrage porn in political news. You can spend hours reading about shit that pisses you off.

This is a link to an Athletic article so you might need a subscription to read, but long story short, Taylor COULD make the Superbowl. You see, she’s headlining 4 shows in a row in Tokyo leading up to the Superbowl, so it’ll be a helluva time crunch, but she COULD make it.
She owns 2 jets, but might have to land in LA since airports in LV are booked solid. Weird and well researched article.
As far as NFL subplots go, the whole Taylor/Travis thing ain’t so bad. Quite ridiculous, but kinda cute. Who knows, it might be love! And how sweet is that?

Joe Thomas sent my meat. There was a delay in the shipping, they ran outta pepperjack cheese. How does Wisconsin run outta pepperjack cheese? I dunno man. They had to substitute some smoked cheddar.
The coolest thing was getting his autograph with the order.

I was surprised to see this news too. I figured the team did well enough to keep all the coaches employed, but like Bob said, maybe they all had a heart to heart and figured this was the way to go.
I’ll kinda miss Stump Mitchell. He was the longest tenured coach, l believe, and he had one helluva beard. One of the most aesthetically cool looking dudes to ever grace a sideline imo.

Bojo punted well most of the season and should be affordable enough. I like Bryant. I got a soft spot for Taki squared.
I get the impression they are willing to throw modest contracts at the LB position, possibly for the sake of continuity? Walker is like 2 or 3 one-year contracts in, and Taki signed for one year last year too. Those 2 may be back if no other team offers anything better.
I always thought Phillips coulda been something if he could stay healthy. He’ll probably be our new Kirksey and go to another team and play well for ‘em.

Oof, gut punch game homies. Enjoyable season though, many twists and turns and panty wetting moments. I really appreciate you all, you’re always a significant part of my Browns season enjoyment. BB forever. Let’s do it again next year.

There still is vendors at Progressive, but it definitely feels like they are less prevalent than they used to be. Now that I think of it - at least in the section I sat in at the Browns stadium for two games this year - they were practically nonexistent.
Cool, thank you. I guess l should say they still exist at the GAB but they hang back behind or below the stands, so they’re no longer walking stairs and we no longer hear their colorful sales pitches like “cooooold beeeer heeeyer!”
I really miss it. It was kind of a quintessential part of the whole ballpark experience that has gone away down here.

Which reminds me, it was super cool seeing vendors hocking beer and hot cocoa in the stands there. That’s something that has disappeared at Great American Ballpark for you baseball fans who venture to Cincy.
Has that disappeared at the Jake too? (or whatever corporate name it goes by now). Or anyone privy to the goings on at any other MLB ballparks these days regarding vendors patrolling the stands?
I seriously miss it and consider it an integral part of the ballpark experience. Not to hijack the thread or anything, but l’m totally trying to hijack the thread.

We hit Crown Republic for brunch pre-game. 5 stars, would recommend. Pricey joint, but top notch service and excellent food and bloody mary’s.
Bloody mary’s are over the top weird these days. There’s like a cornucopia of pickled and fried items involved. Bacon and olives and pepperoncinis, oh my.
Have any of you ever tried to spell pepperoncini before? It was like 20 minutes of my life trying to figure out how to spell that, and l’m still not sure if l got it. I would totally throw that word out at a spelling bee and watch some 6th grader piss their pants.
Anyways, no. There was no McDonald’s coffee involved.

Fun game to attend. We were fortunate to land seats just behind the drunkest guy in our section, who l did not photograph because then he would’ve talked and talked and talked to me. Fuck all that.
The handful of times l’ve gotten super shitfaced at a Browns/Bengals game l ended up in some circle of Bengals fans talking about how much we hate the Steelers. Again, fuck all that.
Not much to cheer for this game. That first first down in the 2nd quarter was far more exciting than it should’ve been. How about David Bell? Shares a name with the Reds’ manager. Coincidence? Probably.

I hear that. It took my kid until early adulthood to actually be her own Browns fan. I’m pretty sure throughout most of her childhood she associated Browns football games with her dad being in a pissy mood on Sundays and wanted nothing to do with it, haha.
