Yeah, I though about going too... But besides the ticket, not worth the $15 bucks in gas and probably $30 to park to watch an exhibition game in crummy weather.  🙄

    You ninny! Just kidding…

I don’t go to many games but l’d like to catch one this year since it’s been such a damn fun year and l wanna cheer the fellas on. My suspicion is it’ll be like FirstEnergy south down here, so l’ll do my part to show my appreciation.

Plus when my young adult kid wants to do anything with me l usually go for it. Gotta make those memories man.

I’m kinda stoked about the weather too! Looking for Pierre Strong to go hog wild like Lee Suggs did one game l caught years ago in Cincy.

Made it last night! Got a little heavy handed with the parsley at the end. It was really good, definitely the best batch of scallops l’ve ever made. I probably could’ve seared it a little better to get that good crust on the ends, so that’ll be the goal with the next batch.

Made some baked mac & cheese with it too. Farmer’s cheese and white cheddar is a killer cheese combo in that. Certainly not a health food dinner, haha.

I approve of the game thread turning into a bash skyline chili thread

It’s the worst regional food in the USA and I’m ashamed it’s associated with Ohio instead of Kentucky.

If Joe Flacco eats that shit he’s going to tank the first round and never come back to Ohio again.

There is a Northern KY version of Cincy style chili, a small chain of maybe 3 restaurants called Dixie Chili. It’s quite good, sometimes l think l like it better than Skyline. You’d love it!

I just pictured myself with a face Full of hot chilli, I used to watch the lads at work getting stuck into hot Indian curries faces bright red and sweat dribbling off em, looked more like an ordeal than enjoyable meal but they used to say it was lovely. Cincy is a smashing idea but I know my boss wouldn't be over keen as the work will no doubt be queing up for me when I go back in on the 4th. One to consider for the future though. Cheers.

Shh, l’m trying to score tickets to the game here.

Cincinnati style chili isn’t overly spicy, but it is amazing! Don’t let anyone here tell you differently…

I'm happy for all the fans, but most especially for our Englishmen, York. That dude has put down some good money for his HOU --> CLE trip and he's been rewarded with a couple great games, the last of which is a home game that sends us to the post season.

I hope and trust he stayed well after zeroes hit to soak it all in with the rest of the home crowd.  Great night, great win, happy for this team and for all of us.

Yorkie is like our secret good luck charm. We should totally all pitch in and buy him and me and my daughter tickets for the Bengals game next week, and maybe my girlfriend too but she’s a Bengals fan so probably not her. Waddya say fellas?

I’ll show him around Cincy and shove Skyline chili down his face, and we’ll virtually guarantee a win in the process! It’ll be great.

  6. I watched this last night, it was really well done and quite enjoyable. Sure, there’s gobs of social commentary involved, but l’d say equal opportunity scathing gets dished out, and humor is at the forefront.

You gotta be down with satire, otherwise lotsa shit will go over your head or it will be unfunny to you. I watched with my gf and daughter, both of whom have seen it and dig it. There’s quite a bit of historical accuracy involved for those of you in to that sort of thing.

I thought we were excellent and that was my first win. Most of the Texan fans disappeared before full time and the game finished in an almost empty stadium with the exception of our support. Went to pre match bash on Saturday night and met lots of Texas based backers and then met them all again at the tailgate on Sunday. Been surprised at how quiet down town Houston has been but the welcome and hospitality I've received has been bang on. I can highly recommend Birra Porretti and the pubs on main street to anyone who passes this way as I'm eating and drinking like a Lord. Was surprised that even the Texans fans that I talked to were good sports even after we'd given them a battering. I fly to Cleveland on Wednesday so I'll be in a pub near you lot soon. Merry Christmas everybody!

You’ve likely already found this out, but everything’s bigger in Texas. Go ahead and yank your trousers down, you’ll see.

  8. Some of this may be exacerbated because our defense has played well this year. More incomplete passes, more 3 and outs, more TFLs than previous years, therefore more cause for celebration. I guess if it keeps the mojo flowing then have at it.

I chuckled at the spoon feeding mention and look forward to variations of that weird little celebration. Can we get Dlinemen spoon feeding each other? Complete with airplane noises?

  9. TV mappin’ time!

The map is about what you would expect for the Browns v. Bears. All of OH, most of IL, and since IN is IN between (ba dum, tss), we’re taking that too. Which is great for me since l’ll be in the Hoosier state this Sunday.

We also got some border areas in KY, WV, PA and WV. And let’s give it up for Ft. Myers, FL this week. A little island of Browns fans in the panhandle state!
