feel your pain man.The reds swung for the fences in trading for Noelvi Marte 2 years ago. busted for ped's out for 80 games.

He is the Cleveland #1 pitcher no doubt  but it's nrext man up time.

This is a good very young team with a good new manager so we get to see what happens next.  Beiber was the #1 loss stopper too.

    GO TRIBE !

  2. ▪︎  From The TRIBE BOARD, More bad news - Shane Beiber OUT for year, elbow surgery ... OMG !

Check out the  other  big Cleveland (6-2) sport in town our  GUARDIANS who started out hot so far.

But more injury bad news .... Shane Beiber OUT for year, elbow surgery ... OMG !

    What else can happen ?

But this is a tough young team.  Come over and visit us once in awhile.

GO BROWNS, GO CAVS  &  GO GUARDIANS !

  3. ▪︎     So what do you all think about our  "patched-together"   relief squad of pitchers ?   Besides Clase .....  just good ennough for now ?   Whatever ?

[ NOTE ]  The below list and explanations were put out just before the season started.   They are  (6-2) now,  Clase has 3 saves,  whoa !

Relief pitchers (8): Emmanuel Clase, Scott Barlow, Eli Morgan, Nick Sandlin, Tim Herrin, Hunter Gaddis, Tyler Beede, Cade Smith
The club lost Xzavion Curry and Ben Lively for a while due to the virus that spread through the clubhouse, which put them too far behind to be ready by Opening Day. Sam Hentges was slowed by a swollen middle finger on his throwing hand and is working his way back now. Trevor Stephan has to undergo elbow surgery this month and has no return date in sight. James Karinchak is still building up after reporting to camp with right shoulder fatigue. This meant the Guardians needed other guys to step up.

Gaddis was excellent this spring, while Beede will provide some much-needed length and Herrin started pounding the strike zone as spring camp progressed. The Guardians sat down with Smith and let him know that he’s done everything right to earn his spot on this team, but Cleveland will need to figure out how best to use him and everyone else in the 'pen.

Baseball at the Oakland Coliseum will cease to exist after the A's final home game in September, as the team has announced they will play (at least) the next three seasons at the AAA home of the San Francisco Giants in Sacramento, before moving to Las Vegas.

Not sure how, but the A's are building a dome in Vegas on a nine acre plot of land. The Tropicana Casino is being, or will be torn down shortly on the land.

The Guardians last games in Oakland was the opening series of the season.

The Tropicana's  days are indeed numbered.   BIG  money involved here.

Those old strip places are indeed numbered too.

Steven Kwan belts deep homer vs. A's

Steven Kwan sends a solo shot 424 feet into the right-field seats to extend the Guardians' lead 10-3 over the A's.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- — Bay Area native Steven Kwan homered and reached base four times, and the Cleveland Guardians had 15 hits in a 12-3 rout of the Oakland Athletics before a Saturday afternoon crowd of just 5,425.

    ●  Six Guardians stole bases off Kyle McCann, a 26-year-old catcher making his major league debut.

    ●  Cleveland's Stephen Vogt tied Al Lopez in 1951 as the only managers to start their Cleveland careers 3-0. Oakland dropped to 0-3 for the second time in 28 years. The Guardians scored six or more runs in the first three games of the season for the fourth time in franchise history.  They have outscored the A's 26-7, a plus-19 run difference that is the ■ best in team history, topping plus-15 in 1922 and 1999.

    ●  “Everything’s kind of clicking,” Kwan said. “We’re playing Guardians baseball, taking extra bags, stealing bases. It's been a lot of fun.”

    ●  Kwan has been able to spend time with family this weekend, including visiting his newborn nephew for the first time.

“Those are the things that let you detach from the game,” Kwan said. “Obviously, it’s a fun game, but it’s also really stressful.”

    ●  The A's, who have announced plans to move to Las Vegas for the 2028 season, have drawn 22,784 in their first three home games for an average of 7,595.

“From baserunning to defense to some walks, it kind of all adds up to a crappy day,” A's manager Mark Kotsay said.

    ●  Cleveland trailed 3-2 before scoring three runs in the fourth, two each in the fifth and sixth, and then one in the sixth to burst ahead 8-3.

“Our guys punched back every time,” Vogt said. “I thought it just showed the grit. The way that these guys have battled and the at-bats that they put together, it was great to see.”

Nick Sandlin (1-0) struck out two in a hitless fifth in relief of Tanner Bibee, who allowed three runs, six hits in four innings. Bibee matched his career high with five walks.

    Cleveland's Cade Smith, a 24-year-old right-hander, pitched two hitles.  ▪︎-->  ■  to be continued  ▪︎-->
