  1. This will be an interesting draft for sure & who knows WHAT trades may be made & there always seem to be surprises early in the draft. I guess I'm here... Mike
  2. Thanks for the response Gumby. You hit just about all of my concerns. I do believe the price for Williams will be much too high. Seems like we may agree that if Thomas & Wills are gone, grabbing Jones at 10 may make the most sense. I also suspect Hunt & Njoku may be offered in trade at some point......takers?..who knows? Mike
  3. I have questions for the more knowledgeable.....I prefer Thomas & Wills as #1 & #2 in the draft, then closely followed by Jones. If Thomas & Wills are both gone prior to our #10 pick, would it be wiser to trade down or leave nothing to chance & grab Jones at 10?....OR are we better off either trading for Williams or signing Peters & taking more of a project in 2nd round & going BPA in the 1st? Mike
  4. I've been on the "Baker Train" since his college days & I'm still on it. He'll be fine. Mike
  5. If you're serious, why not try it? After all, they ARE rodents. Mike
  6. Capsaicin is present in many peppers, not JUST jalapenos. Interesting for those of you with bird feeders & squirrel problems...lace your bird seed with cayenne pepper. It doesn't bother birds, but squirrels won't touch it. A buddy of mine in NC put me onto that years ago & it works. Mike
  7. I'll never forget watching that game vs Baltimore! Mike
  8. Kaline was one helluva ball player. It always stuck in my craw that the Indians (Frank Lane) traded Rocky Colavito for "singles hitter" Harvey Kuenn when he should have insisted on Kaline or, better yet, never have traded "The Rock". RIP Al. Mike
  9. I HATED the ham & beans, but the cheese spread was pretty damned good. Hell, out in the field we didn't have trays, but trading C-Rations was common & sometimes took cash/other stuff to get the good C-rations LOL. Mike
  10. I don't like Njoku either, but with Stefanski running a lot of 2 tight ends, we may be stuck with him. Who knows what may happen, but if we trade him, I won't complain. He may be a physical specimen, but it remains to be seen if & when he learns to block, run patterns, & hold onto the damn ball. BTW, it's scary what Chubb will do in this ZBS. Mike
  11. I still feel that the Browns' backfield of Jimmy Brown & Bobby Mitchell was the best I've ever seen. RIP Bobby! Mike
  12. I figure to spend much more time fishing this year, so I'm cleaning my fly tying area, fly lines, & re-organizing my fly boxes & tackle boxes to get ready. I've already moved from chaos to "so THAT'S where I put that thing!" Next is to sit there & actually tie some new flies. If we can't go to the stadium this fall, I can at least enjoy some deep fried bluegill filets. Mike
  13. Nope! It's orange, darker orange, darkest orange! Oh boy, we are scraping the bottom of the barrel, aren't we? 🙄😂 Mike
  14. The name on the sides is embroidered, but that (UGH!) front logo is done in silicone. Hell, there are folks on this board who may have done better with a caulking gun! LOL Mike
  15. Mayfield, Manziel, J Gilbert, Njoku, Garrett, Couch, J Thomas, Quinn, Shelton, Irving, T Richardson, Ward. Those are the ones I remember easily. I know I forgot many easy ones, including the one edge from the sunshine state. Mike
  16. HEY Z!......Remember this?.... You in the Lavalava! Mike
  17. No, it's not your eyes! It looks REALLY bad!!! Mike
  18. Glad to see it's working again, thanks to Kathy. Mike
  19. Chuck Noll & Tom Landry? (both coached a long time & had some crappy teams). Mike
  20. I tend to agree with you Cube. Paul Brown was the greatest innovator in the history of Pro Football. I copied & pasted this little ditty: Brown is credited with a number of American football innovations. He was the first coach to use game film to scout opponents, hire a full-time staff of assistants, and test players on their knowledge of a playbook. He invented the modern face mask, the practice squad and the draw play. In addition to the above, Paul Brown was a proven WINNER at ALL levels. I also believe that Bill Belichick would agree with us. Mike
  21. OMG! I'll bet Warren Moon is there. How could we forget him? Mike
  22. I can barely wait for the season too, but... 1) IF the season happens, I believe attendance will be spotty based on how many Fans will be ok to be in crowds. If games approved & the gates are open, I plan to attend. 2) Options for Season Ticket Members who may be leary of attending? 3) Parking costs? 4) What about these 1 year contracts & free agents coming up? Many things to consider & who knows when we'll know whether or not we have a season & what restrictions may apply IF we DO have a season. Mike
  23. Favre, Namath (I know he had a LOSING career record), Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Dan Marino Mike
