  1. Helluva way to start the season... Sucks about Bieber though, he was fantastic in his first two starts, pitching at his Cy Young level again. I just hope that starting rotation injuries don't torpedo the Gs season again.
  2. Finally going to see The Black Keys, got tickets for the October 12th show at Rocket Mortage Fieldhouse.
  3. My point is the Bears bought a ton of land outside of the city proper, like the Haslams did, only to decide that the grass wasn't greener outside of Chicago. The reason the Haslams want to get outside of downtown is that in Brookpark they could own EVERYTHING that makes money via the Browns GameDay experience. You want to park? Park at a Haslam-owned parking lot. Want to eat? Eat at a Haslam-owned restaurant, etc...
  4. Kind of an interesting parallel is what is going on with the Bears... They bought a ton of acres in the suburbs (a former horse track?) and it looked like they were all set to move out of the city limits of Chicago, only to apparently scrap that idea and are now talking with Chicago about a new lakefront dome stadium.
  5. I wouldn't be so sure about that. He will have missed a ton of games with injuries in '21 and '23, and now will miss virtually all of 2024. And according to Terry Pluto, he's probably going to have a 12-18 month rehab after surgery, which means he'll probably miss most to all of 2025. This was the chance he took when he declined to sign multiple contract extensions the Guardians offered him. For the Gs, thank dog he did.
  6. Will have to have season-ending elbow surgery. He's a free agent after the season ends.
  7. Honestly, I think that spot would work better for the Browns than the Cavs because you are only going 8 or 9 times a year. Then again, how was getting in/out of the Coliseum? There would be three times as many people going to Browns games.
  8. This might come to a shock to some, but nickers is a miserable twat. I'm sorry to ruffle any feathers by dropping that bomb.
  9. Baseball at the Oakland Coliseum will cease to exist after the A's final home game in September, as the team has announced they will play (at least) the next three seasons at the AAA home of the San Francisco Giants in Sacramento, before moving to Las Vegas. Not sure how, but the A's are building a dome in Vegas on a nine acre plot of land. The Tropicana Casino is being, or will be torn down shortly on the land. The Guardians last games in Oakland was the opening series of the season.
  10. They definitely need to get some younger OLinemen in house. Besides Jones, what OLineman would anyone be confident is going to be here two years?
  11. Cox was the punter who occasionally attempted long field goals, not a situation where there were two placekickers on the roster at the same time. Where does the ball come out if you kick it into the end zone?
  12. Here's a little trivia tidbit to amaze your friends... The ballpark was actually going to be named something like Society FIeld, because the local bank headquartered in Cleveland was going to purchase the naming rights. They ended up getting bought out themselves, so then Indians owner Dick Jacobs decided to put his name on the ballpark. And the Gs just finished winning the series in Seattle, winning 8-0.
  13. And Progressive Field will remain Progressive Field through the 2036 season (at least), as Progressive Insurance extended their naming rights contract with the Guardians. Hard to believe Progressive Field is 30 years old. Damn.
  14. He used to be Gorka, until the ridicule of taking another man's name got a little too much to bear. You keep it up, and he'll be forced to change his handle again. 🤣
  15. You live in your mother's basement and will die alone. There's literally nothing I need to add.
  16. I'm sure your dad is as big of a pussy as you are, so I doubt it, Holmes.
  17. Look who is hiding behind a keyboard and feeling strong again... Sometimes people aren't as anonymous on-line as they think, though.
  18. Ohio State is on the verge of filling the vacated RB coach position with Oregon's RB coach, Carlos Locklyn. Almost immediately after, the Buckeyes received the crystal ball for Jordon Davison, a four star RB from Mater Dei High School in California.
  19. A year or so ago when this whole stadium talk started, the Haslams came up with a report that mentioned: 1. Cleveland Browns Stadium is a mediocre stadium that was built quickly and kind of poorly 2. A stadium on the lake takes a pounding from Mother Nature, hence is a maintenance nightmare. Regardless of the flip-flopping they have had on this topic, and at times seem fine with just renovating the existing stadium, I've never thought they really want this. In fact, I think it would be their absolute last resort. I just can't see where the money is coming from to build a 2+ billion dollar dome. I'd much rather see them stay downtown, but off the lakefront. I wonder how many acres the Wolstein Arena sits on... Cleveland State has been talking about bulldozing it and building a much smaller arena a few blocks north. Perhaps the Browns could look at putting a stadium there?
  20. He's talking about just south of Progressive Field, south of the highway, right? I mean, if it works going north a block or so to see a Guardians game, why wouldn't it work going a block or so south to see a Browns game?
  21. The have switched back to what the helmet was. Literally all the Browns need to do is look at that photo and do everything they did, and add the brown jersey from that era. I'll bend and allow the orange pants a handful times every season too.
  22. I can't stand Angel Reese, and "America's Basketball Sweetheart" Caitlin Clark is a flopping, whiny crybaby. So go South Carolina. 🤣
  23. Ohio State's 2025 recruiting class has added four four-star commits this weekend. Two are teammates from the same high school in New Jersey in Safety DeShawn Stewart and WR De'Zie Jones, and a couple of Florida kids in LB T.J. Alford and DLineman London Merritt (originally from Atlanta area before transferring to the IMG Academy in Florida). Of course, these are not official commits, early signing is in December for the '25 class. Things happen, but as it stands today Ohio State has 11 commits, eight of which are on defense. It is shaping up to be a potentially fantastic class. https://247sports.com/college/ohio-state/Season/2025-Football/Commits/
  24. Tia is on to something about you. You whine a lot.
