  1. Can you imagine being Woody, seriously though? His life IS Ann Arbor's football team. It got its ass handed to it by Ohio State for two decades. TWO DECADES. Then out of nowhere his beloved team finally slays its master. He can FINALLY walk around in his blue and piss yellow with pride. Then he finds out his team was cheating its ass off. Must be soul-crushing. 🤣
  2. Here's my 3rd round shortlist for the Browns: WR Devontez Walker, North Carolina 6'2, 200lbs. Good size with ability to get separation. OG Tanor Bortolini, Wisconsin. 6'4, 310lbs. Versatile interior OLineman. Plays like a wrestler but has great quickness for pulling. DT Ruke Orhorhoro, Clemson. 6'4, 290lbs. Very good interior pass rusher, needs work vs the run. ILB Tommy Eichenberg, Ohio State 6'2, 236lbs. Smart, tough player. Average athlete. TE Cade Stover, Ohio State. 6'4, 251lbs. Might be the most overall well-rounded TE in this weak class. CB T.J. Tampa, Iowa State. 6'2, 195lbs. Good size, wingspan and a strong tackler. S Calen Bullock, USC. 6'2, 193lbs. Ballhawk with tremendous range. Yes, I put in Cade Stover again. Perhaps I reached for him by inserting him into my second round shortlist. Well, here he is again! 😉
  3. I kind of get it though. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a ton of mammoth DTackles that have come into the NFL and done much. They tend to get exposed as one-trick pony's who struggle to make a big impact.
  4. Most likely he's going to end up in Columbus, because I can't see anyone picking up the rest of his contract ($19 mill or so) and if Straw declines going down to Columbus, his guaranteed contract is kaput. The extension the Guardians gave him after the trade deadline deal bringing him from Houston made no sense to many at the time, and while he's been very good defensively, he's been roughly a .230 hitter with zero power. Infielder Tyler Freeman has been working a lot in the offseason and spring training as an outfielder, and looks to be at least sharing the job now with Straw out of the picture. It appears Brayan Rocchio will be the starter at short, with Gabriel Arias taking over as the utility infielder.
  5. Nashville seems an obvious choice. Kind of a dark horse is Salt Lake City.
  6. @Flugel @gumby73 (And anyone else who wants to participate, of course) Want to do a top 5 list for our 3rd round pick, like we we did for the 2nd rounder? I'll start.
  7. Feel free to go to a Tampa Bay Bucs message board.
  8. The Browns have re-signed kicker Cade York, I'm guessing with the idea of putting him back on the Practice Squad?
  9. Especially considering that Chubb will be entering his seventh NFL season.
  10. We aren't privy to all the info on the injury, of course, but absolutely they could and should have some concern regarding this injury. Shoulder injuries to throwing athletes are never something to easily dismiss. But we are where we are with this. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if there's a setback or two and he ends up on the injured list to start the season. I also wouldn't be shocked if he barely plays this season. I'm not saying either is going to happen, but I wouldn't be shocked.
  11. I didn't mean that was all the Browns brought him in, but even with Chubb on the team Hunt generally was that guy, and Kareem's time in Cleveland is probably done for good. I could definitely see him splitting time with Ford.
  12. I think Kareem's career is on the verge of being over. It took a Chubb injury to get him on a team last year, and it looks like the safety net that is the Browns have moved on this offseason for sure.
  13. Here's the thing - and tia hit on it earlier - you aren't wrong for wishing the Browns would have used a sixth round pick on a lottery ticket like Fields. And dog help us if Fields actually reaches his potential in Pittsburgh. It's more of a situation of tia, ballpeen and myself realizing that with three years left on Watson's contract, coming off a pretty serious injury and all the off-field nonsense that lead up to it, there just were certain things the Browns weren't going to do regarding the QB room, in our opinion. Doesn't mean you're wrong to want it to happen. Oh wait, I forgot, I never add anything of worth to any of these threads. All I do is add snark and lob personal attacks. Strike everything I wrote above. You are a poopy head. Ahhhh... much better. 🤣
  14. Seems like a good replacement for Chubb in short yardage/goalline situations.
  15. You had something English on St. Pat's? 🤣 That's one helluva party foul!
  16. You are adorable. Full of shit, yet so adorable. 🤣
  17. I have this little feeling in the back of my head that the Browns might trade Elijah Moore.
  18. Actually the Browns went 11-6 last season. If you were anything but a troll nowadays, you might have actually noticed and enjoyed it. But hey, keep making the same pink font joke for the millionth time.
  19. He's coming off a shoulder injury and will shortly just now start throwing. So instead of having three QBs in off-season camps and the beginning of Training Camp, they can have three plus Watson slowly (hopefully) rounding into shape. And as I've said often, shoulder injuries are tricky. The recovery process isn't always linear with shoulder injuries. I think they learned their lesson after kind of going half-assed with their QB room at the beginning of last season.
  20. Like, he's not had the production you'd want from a first rounder, but if he catches 50-65 balls at 14.5 yards a clip like he has, I think he's well worth the 5th and 6th rounders the Browns gave up for him. But not worth that much guaranteed money. But hey, it's not my money and as long as Jimmy keeps paying all these big contracts that get converted into bonuses, apparently this can go on infinitely. I'd like to see Cooper extended a few years.
  21. I suppose, but IMO he needs to be much better than Moore to justify that much money for such a so-so start to his career. The Jeudy extension kind of feels like a "well if we pay him like a stud player, maybe he'll be a stud player" situation, instead of a "this is a fair market deal based on your prior production" situation.
  22. I"m not tia, but I do play him on TV, and I would say that he definitely could beat out DTR, and while I think Winston would beat him out, its not out of the realm of possibility. I think Winston's ceiling is higher than Huntley's, even with his turnover deficiencies. (And to be honest, Flacco has some of the same turnover propensities) At the end of the day, DTR was a 5th round pick. He's a good kid, but could be very expendable.
  23. I might be wrong, but having four QBs during off-season camps and training camp doesn't seem that unique or strange to me. Especially considering the Browns are probably going to ease Watson back. Regarding him sitting with a hangnail or not playing when hurt (but not injured), I don't think there has been any history of that from him. I think he missed one game after he became the starter in 3+ seasons in Houston. Now, all that being said, if you asked me if I think Watson will ever get back to the 2018-2020 Watson, when he was a top 5 or so QB in the NFL, I'd say no. Deep down, the Browns might be thinking this too.
