My only argument is really if you're going to blame someone or a unit for the losses my first fingers wouldn't go to the guy who is playing above average football especially considering what we expect of him vs an entire unit that is playing well below average when they were expected to be strong. I honestly think we're still 2-3 even if watson isn't suspended because it's been on the defense. Yesterday for example let's say watson gets a td on that drive. What are the chances the chargers go down and score a td to take the lead against this defense. I'd put it at over 50% so i dont think a td there means the browns win and certainly doesn't guarantee it.

Now this is far out there but in a weird way because the chargers coach is an imbecile the int almost gave us a better chance to win lol.  Id rather have our 80% field goal kicker on the field to decide the game than our below average defense.

Again ... I'm not excusing horrid defensive play by making a post about how our QB chokes.

    That's what mutually exclusive means.

I just decided to start the thread about Brisket because his play in crunchtime has been abysmal.

They are plenty of threads about how bad the defense has been.

And with jacoby at quarterback the browns are the only team to score 27 or more points in all their games.  Yes the interceptions haven't been great and the most recent one was atrocious but the losses haven't been on brissett. This is all on the defense. Brissett has yet to turn the ball over and give opponents a short field (njoku did once). Brissett has been playing above average to good since we're looking for blame and using ifs then if the defense was just average the browns would be 5-0

Saying that Brisket blows is not mutually exclusive from saying that the defense blows.

    Neither can finish.

    And either can our kicker.

  3. OK, Guys, last week's loss was on me.

Sure, my house was pounded by a Cat 4 Hurricane for 14 hours, sure I had no wifi, and very little, if any, phone signal ... but I should have found a way to post a picture of my Intern, Mitzie.

    380fbd0e122896378e45018c8de9615c.jpg

Things are getting back to normal here, we've got the boat back in the water, and if I have a winning record this week, I will promote Mitzie to Head Intern. There is, of course, some job security with that promotion.

Pittsburgh at Buffalo, Sunday 1 PM

We haven't seen a truly awful Steeler season since like 1970 ... but we may just be on the verge. Certainly they are sending out the panic signal by starting the rookie already. They won't win today, but I'm tired of everyone on the the Bills jock, like they are some awesome team for the ages or something ... They haven't done shit. So Stillers beat the spread. BILLS 26 STEELERS 13

LA Chargers at Cleveland, Sunday 1 PM

We finally got a good game from the Browns secondary last week, but, alas, with our three veteran starting DL out we got gutted against the run. They are, hopefully, all three back, we know Myles is ... and this is the week our defense gels. Clean up one Blonde Surfer Boy on Aisle 2. Offensively, we have the world's greatest running game, so as long as we don't have to throw to win in the 4th Q we are golden. I'm thinking this is the week we work that out. BROWNS 27 CHARGERS 17

Cincinnati at Baltimore, Sunday Night Football 8PM

Brats versus Rats. Not sure which is worse, the Ravens defense without Wink Martindale, or the Bungles New Improved Offensive Line. Just rooting for a lot of calamities and injuries, I'm usually passed out by 8 PM Sunday, anyway.  I'll take the home team and read about the devastation Monday Morning. RATBIRDS 27 BUNGLES 23

So..  My mother and her significant other were pulling into the driveway yesterday.. There was a couple out front walking their dogs by the condo we live in... They introduced themselves to my mother and her bf. Their last name is Staley. It turns out this couple owned and lived in the condo we now live in around 8 years ago... And it gets even better... They are in fact the parents of Brandon Staley. The LA Chargers Head Coach who hails from the Greater Cleveland Area. They told us about some of the work they done to the house while living here... They also according to my mother have invited us to their ranch house which is just down the street from us incidentally. They would like us to come visit them at their place at some point in the near future. (very nice of them). They had asked my mother who we were rooting this Sunday. Naturally the Browns as She is a fan..  The Staley's confessed to being torn as naturally they are fans of the Browns but of course their own Son(understandable). But I guess just goes to show you. You just never know whats around the corner... Life is cool man!!!!

    GO BROWNS!!!

I bet they Go For It on every yellow light.

  5.

    From Bruce's wife:

On Sept 16, I posted memories about Bruce & I, as I was regaling him with those stories of our life together. He was tucked into our warm bed at home, resting peacefully, with both Major & I lounging next to him. Later that night, his beautiful soul, spirit, and that beautiful mind transitioned to their next phase to heaven.

He was pain-free and sleeping. Caregivers described his passing as being “one in a million.” Bruce Tuma was one in a million.

I am honored to be his soulmate, best friend, and soul’s counterpoint. He lives on in my heart. Taking this 15-month journey at his side, making sure he had the best opportunities, and leaving no stone unturned was an honor bestowed upon me by God.

We’ll be celebrating his life as he wished - in our home with his music and images from his life, swapping stories and laughter, on Oct 15. He truly was one in a million. ❤️🙏🥰🎶🐾

  6. We'd be 4-0 if he had any sense of how to close a football game. Total panick city. He is really good at handing off and hitting wide open guys on early downs on play action, but he totally crumbles in situations where he, as the motherfucking qb, needs to win motherfucking games. Fuck this guy, he has no guts.

  7. Well, The Great Zomboni survived a 14 hour-long Cat 4 Hurricane like a boss, but I do not have a lot of good wifi/phone service yet, so no bells or whistles or big boobs this week, just scores:

Close ... Thanks to that last second bonus TD. Double win against the spread, and more importantly ... In the diivision!

I got so excited I hired a new intern. Meet Mitzie.

Mitzie will be in charge of rubbing TGZ's crystal balls each week to reveal the predictions of the "other" teams in the division. Let's see what she came up with this week:

Cincinnati at New York Jets, Sunday 1PM

Despite the Browns historic letdown, I can't see the Jets being too scary to too many teams the rest of the year. However, the Bungles still haven't figured out their Offensive Line yet, so this one should be close. But I think Bungles finally pull one out. BUNGLES 24 JETS 23

Baltimore at New England, Sunday 1 PM

So here's the other division team that had a historic meltdown last week. I do not see that happening against the insanely boring Patriots attack. Rats hold on to win a squeeker. RATBIRDS 19 PATRIOTS 17

  9. Great start for Team Z, as the Browns win straight up and we go 3-1 versus the spread. So I gave Zelda some Beach Time.

This week everyone is outside of the division, so we have a full slate a of games and three way tie for first that is apt to be broken ... Let's see about that:

New York Jets at Cleveland, Sunday 1:00 PM

Joe Flacco has a lifetime record of 17-3 versus the Browns ... But that was young Joe. On the Ravens. Against really bad Browns teams. Now the Browns are good, Joe sucks and he plays for the Jets. And Mr. Garrett and Mr. Clowney would like a word with him. Gonna be ugly. BROWNS 27 JETS 6

New England at Pittsburgh, Sunday 1:00 PM

Just a few years ago this would have been the Matchup of the Week, National TV, Brady vs Big Ben! Now it is a contest between perhaps the two most boring, un-inspiring offensesin the league. But we have a couple great coaches and some good defense ... at least on Pittsburgh's side. Even without Watt, I think their defense gives them the edge. STEELERS 20 PATRIOTS 17

Baltimore at Miami, Sunday 1:00 PM

Two QBs that are lightning rods for National Media attention, with vastly different styles ... But I was more impressed with the Dolphns D last week, looking like the Killer B's of old. Another low-scoring game, homefield prevails. DOLPHINS 19 RAVENS 17

Cincinnati at Dallas, Sunday 1:00 PM

I don't know much about Cooper Rush, but he looks like Andy Dalton, so both teams should be comfortable with that. His stats are alright, and I think the demise of the Cowboys has been greatly exaggerated. The Bungles, on the other hand, spent a Billion dollars revamping their offensive line, and last week they looked like the Dollar Store version. Micah Parsons will extend that nightmare. 10. 100% All in on the Browns before the trade, 100% All in on the Browns after the trade.

I wish Baker success when he is not playing us.

I don't have a high opinion of Watson as a person, but he's just one guy, I root for the entire roster, the entire coaching staff, the city, the fans and everything Cleveland Browns ... The Great Love of my Life

  11. I stream sports all the time, it was fine. Good game too.

I wonder how it effects older people that may not have a smart TV or know how to use it, and Sports Bars that may not be set up for streaming. Everyone's just gotta keep moving forward.

Yeah, his wife created a group text to keep some of us in the loop.  It was his birthday, and he's still hanging in there.  Back in Florida, he didn't look anywhere close to my aged years.  😉

I didn't think he was 70 either, I would guessed early 60s, I guess the Browns didn't age him like it did the rest of us.

'Peen PM me if you don't have my contact info... We may have the chance to meet up Sunday before\ after the game....

Yeah my aged body is starting to feel it too....  Just on my 220 mile drive to Cleveland, I need to take a break.  After all day down at the stadium, anymore I hate driving back to Dayton right after the game. Should the Browns win Sunday, I'm seriously considering making the trip down to Atlanta for the Falcons game, but I just might opt on the one hour flight into Hartsfield, instead of the 500 mile and eight hour drive there.

If you know what they have planed, let me know Z... I do wonder if ED (Roachmster) will be up there too to host.

I'll plan on seeing you either before or after nickers....  I'm supposed to Tailgate with one of my nephews before the game, but he hasn't given me any concrete details as of yet.

I don't know what anyone is doing, I'm just jealous because I wish I was there. You can DM those guys on FB, Lar.
