  1. I think that maybe I should have thought a bit longer on the picks. I think that Ravens fans would be happy landing Wilkins with #22, but maybe Seattle could have passed on Ed Oliver and use the pick on a CB or S, having in mind that they only have 4 picks for this draft, next one being a third rounder... Having Oliver (ranked #4 per CBS) was just so attractive. Maybe too attractive.
  2. I wanted to do it! I was doing it in 30mins lol.
  3. Well, if Haskins falls to that position, I don't think it's crazy to think that the Bucs may give him a shot. With new coaching staff, they can make this kind of move in no "panic mode". They could argue that either Jameis steps ups on his game and finally lives up to his expectations, or they get their QB of the future in Haskins, win-win.
  4. I expect to receive a PM a week from now... While I'm sleeping. This looks good so far.
  5. Fuck me, I went and studied the Cowboys' draft because I thought I had picked them instead of the Ravens, LOL. Well, Tour. I'll look closely to what you do with Dallas.
  6. Thanks for posting Madrid time, I wouldn't know what to do without it. (I'm used to translate EST)
  7. So... Any news? I finally put some time into my draft teams and I just want to get it over with lol.
  8. I love that you consistently call Callaway Calloway, Z.
  9. I woke up to this news this morning and I couldn't believe it. I'm concerned with: 1. Cap space, 2. OBJ joining the locker room, 3. A loopsided passing offensive team: I know it's a passing league, but I wouldn't like to replicate KC and Rams issues. Both teams had great offenses but if they don't get the job done (missing Hunt, Gurley injured) they suffer a lot. I prefer having a well-rounded team and at the moment I see an awesome offense (let's hope the OL doesn't resent too much) and a defense with some holes in LB and DB corps. I'm sad to see Peppers leave but I understand both that Giants had to replace Collins and that #22 so far hasn't completely lived up to the pick he was taken with. I think we won the deal. Anyway, I think that Mayfield has a strong non-diva character (unlike diva Big Ben or sad Eli Manning) and Cleveland is not New York. Add that to the friendship between Landry and Odell and we might have an awesome tandem in the makings. I hope this one works. Go Browns.
  10. You disliking this trade is the push I needed to like it even more.
  11. How much time do we have to make our picks each round?
  12. I'm pretty busy, so I don't want to join this... But if you need a player before it begins, I will play. I'll keep checking this thread.
  13. I don't like woman beaters. I don't like abusive people. I don't reach the point of wishing them hell, but I don't like them. Having said that, these guys play in a very violent sport, where the alpha men are praised and they get paid a lot of money. I can see them derailing and acting like that, mostly when they have reached that level through working their bodies out. Many people lose their mind when they become millionaires, so I don't know what we expect from them, really. The only thing we should care about is his performance. The rest, like in any other job (I think bjh said it) is superfluous. Did he commit a crime? He should be punished. But I am nobody to judge that. Likewise, we shouldn't be surprised or pissed when the same happens in other teams and other players. It's all about sports, all about business. I don't seek moral references in football.
  14. I'd say that nowadays Duke is more like a 3rd down RB who sometimes runs the ball. I'll never complain about having too many good players in a group...
  15. Interesting news... I hope that he can make up for the chance he is given. I'm excited. This could be huge, or a low risk failure.
  16. Completely agreed. I always root against the Patriots but I admire what they have achieved. Thank you Dutch for doing these questions, they are fun!
  17. Ironically, I took Nero about 12 years ago and didn't know it was Italian or anything... Though later I thought it suited me. Anyway, just to clarify, I'm Spanish, so bear in mind that I don't pronounce it like most of you would: "Niro" I pronounce it like "Nero" instead.
  18. As much as I'd love having CJ Mosley in our team, I don't see us making that move... Thoughts?
  19. Well, the root of the word is "terr" which stands for terror... So it had that meaning so it is misleading for us non native English speakers.
  20. *Sigh* I never mentioned your mother...
  21. That day, I will use all the expresions related to "puta" constantly so you get the hang of it. Careful with what you say... I got a big family!
  22. terrific /təˈrɪfɪk/ adjective 1. of great size, amount, or intensity. "there was a terrific bang" sinónimos: tremendous, huge, massive, gigantic, colossal, mighty, great, very great, very big, prodigious, formidable, sizeable, considerable; Más 2. ARCHAIC causing terror. "his body presented a terrific emblem of death" sinónimos: dreadful, terrible, appalling, awful, horrific, horrible, horrendous, horrifying, hideous, grim, ghastly, gruesome, frightful, fearful "terrific scenes of slaughter and destruction" Now that I know that your girl is Irish, I can say I would never poke the Italo-Irish Mafia.
  23. Good job, Gipper. You found one of those particularities every language has. I just thought of one in English that is very similar: terrific. It has a negative meaning but when you say ''Terrific'' you are actually saying "awesome!". "De puta madre" has a positive meaning, "hijo de puta" doesn't (thought we use it on friendly environments).
