  1. Olive-skinned? That's a stereotype, lol! Sorry to disappoint you... I'm very pale. But don't let this distract you from the fact that I did fairly well on this contest
  2. Well, I saw him desperately sticking to Jackson and I thought he was using him as a last resource. I didn't follow the news so you are probably right. Anyway, Marvin Lewis signed last year a 2 year contract extension and see how he's doing...
  3. You have to realize that there's a good reason for me to be treated in such a slight, discriminatory and non-human way... I have gotten around it fairly easily around this board, but sometimes it's too much, that I can't take this kind of treatment... Reason being I'm hispanic.
  4. Stop the bullshit and give me this answer, I was the closest!
  5. With one more win we would have been already playing for the Divisional title in this season's last game, so yes, we should be contending for playoffs only looking at our division. It is going to depend on how our AFC North rivals prepare for next year: Pittsburgh may implode, the Bengals look like they're rebuilding next year and the Ravens, who are the most well-rounded team on both sides in my opinion, have their coach on thin ice and a rookie QB who I don't trust one bit. Man, did he look bad in the Wildcard round... Anyway, our division is a good one. I did the win/loss differential for each division and it is the following: AFC East: -8 AFC North: +2 AFC South: +6 AFC West: +4 NFC East: -1 NFC North: +2 NFC South: -2 NFC West: -2 Looking at that, we have the third most competitive division, so getting a playoff berth is not an easy cake by any means*. Man, I'm so looking forward to next season! EDIT NOTE: Though we face the two worst divisions (AFC East and NFC West)
  6. Man, I almost guessed all the AFC North! Ravens 10-6 (final 10-6) Steelers 9-7 (9-6-1) Browns 6-10 (7-8-1) Bengals 6-10 (6-10) Now, you can stop showing the rest of the results... Lol.
  7. Lol, I honestly didn't check the results, so I didn't know I had guessed this one! Btw, in Spain, the worldwide known Corona is named Coronita (-ito, -ita, is a diminutive sufix, so it would be Little Crown) because we had a Corona beer already. The bottle and everything is the same.
  8. Hey, man. It's January 23 in Europe Give me my damn question.
  9. First things first, I loved the back and forth thoughtful discussion between Dutch and Mark. Very entertaining to say the least. I would take the Baseball money, though I had to play the most boring sport on Earth (mjp, I'm looking at you). Anyway, you guy missed a point. Something that would make Murray not an idiot, but a genius. Maybe he is not aiming for an NFL high paid career, Maybe he wants something more... Maybe he wants to reach the promised land... Maybe he is one of those chosen ones, the most fortunate guys on Earth. The smartest of the bunch... A backup QB career. My idols.
  10. I am new here, Ive been around only for a year, so I didn't know him well, but rest in peace, Stan, and thank you for all your many contributions to Browns fandom. My prayers are with his family and friends. God bless you all.
  11. I just checked, it was Reposado. It was in a bachelor's party, with a barbecue in a hot sunny day, while playing cards, but I can tell it was very good, I enjoyed it a lot.
  12. I tried Jose Cuervo once. Best tequila I ever had.
  13. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/03/22/baker-mayfield-advance-analytics-nfl-draft-oklahoma-pff Probably someone already posted it as it is a predraft article, but it's worth reading. I cannot wait to see him play, let's hope everything works out for us this time!
  14. No joke, when I started reading 'paradores' I was immediately thinking about Olite's, even before I read it in your post. Great place with good weather and an amazing castle. Best hotel in Pamplona, in the centre of the downtown area is La Perla. Hotel Tres Reyes is 5mins away walking (from La Perla) too. They're also the most expensive ones. Another good hotel is Blanca de Navarra, which is at the end of the biggest avenue, but has a bus that takes you to downtown in 10mins every 4mins. Just so you get an idea, I live in the outskirts of the city and it takes me 30mins walking to arrive to the centre of the city. Only city in the north with a Metro is Bilbao, with a single line. Anyway, we have good bus transport systems, which is almost the same (or even better) because cities are more dense and smaller. And depending on your interests (history, gastronomy or maybe nature) I can give you some advice with more detail.
  15. LOL! Hah that's quite a discovery. I would say that though at least last 4-8 generations from my family most likely are 100% Spanish, probably we have some french ancestors as we live in the border. You'd be more than welcome to Pamplona, and I'd guide you (or Gipper, if he decides to come) through my beautiful city heh
  16. Well. Not trying to brag here... But I'd bet Pamplona is cleaner. Unles you come in Sanfermines. Maybe San Sebastián too. If you're thinking about one single trip, I would never tell you to come and visit the North before Barcelona. You should go first to Barcelona. I don't know how much do you travel during your trips (I guessed that as an american you must be used to take the car for long journeys), but I'd say that Zaragoza is a nice 'base camp' if you're into visiting many places. If you're travelling to the North, though, you should do it on summer. It rains a lot in northern cities (Pamplona, Vitoria, Bilbao, San Sebastián). Distances by car (aprox). Totals from Zaragoza. Zaragoza - Madrid: 3h Zaragoza - Barcelona: 3h Zaragoza - Pamplona: 2h Pamplona - Bilbao: 2h - - total 4h Pamplona - Vitoria: 1h (midway to Bilbao) - -total 3h Pamplona - San Sebastián: 1h - - total 4h There is a high speed railway which connects Sevilla - Madrid - Zaragoza - Barcelona. Vitoria is a nice city, very similar to Pamplona but with maybe less 'history', Zaragoza's riverside with Pilar's cathedral is gorgeous, and so is Bilbao's riverside (thanks to Guggenheim effect). San Sebastián is a very beautiful city overall, and has a nice beautiful beach La Concha.
  17. Barcelona is a must visit. Pamplona, San Sebastián and Bilbao are a nice trip to do in 2 days by Northern Spain If you're into green views full of mountains and amazing gastronomy, there's not quite a place like North. Anyway, used as you are to long car trips, it takes 12h to cross Spain from North to South, so you could do a nice tour. We have many different things in a quite compact territory (comparing to USA).
  18. So many travels... And never been to Spain... Shame on you!
  19. It would be 'nap'. We don't spend 2-3 hours eating and 1 hour sleeping. I'm talking about family meetings.
  20. Some languages have an unique word that does not exist in any other. In Spanish we have 'sobremesa' which refers to the time/moment when you stay talking (and drinking) after having lunch. We give a lot of importance to lunch, more than many other places, and family meetings tend to be at lunch (we can stay talking for a long time in the sobremesa). We don't eat a lot during the dinners in our daily basis. In fast paced cities like Madrid or Barcelona, with office schedules and long times for commuting, it's more like America and the rest of Europe, with a short lunch and a main dinner.
