  1. I think Greg has our play sheet they are all over every call.
  2. The call was awful. but Technique has to change. Pass rushers need to turn their body on impact with the QB, which you will see some QBs essentially break arm tackles.
  3. 1.Better play calls. Let OBJ and Landry work underneath rather than 7 step drops and long drawn out route trees. 2. No personal fouls as opposed to 6 last week. Limit pre-snap penalties. 3. Chubb early 15 touches by half. 4. Get up by two scores in the 4th so the zebras can’t impact the outcome. I’ve watched a lot of crazy stuff these first two weeks the only solution make it impossible for a horrendous call to impact the game- if you can. I think we got this- 34-10.
  4. Kizer was and still is historically bad. Even so I recall 4 or 5 Toss up games and we had a few more that the zebras willed us to a loss that year. If the Dolphins can keep a game to a single digit loss eventually maybe they can- we can let the comparison play out.
  5. Michigan and Notre Dame fans say Hi. nothing worse than teams that haven’t won a dang thing in recent memory gloat constantly and get every media outlet pushing them to greatness in September. i hope that doesn’t become Us.
  6. Siemian at this moment gives the Jets a better chance to win the game Monday. If the Jets can somehow block up front and get a run game going this is a dangerous game. Now if Mosley can’t go or is restricted that is the bigger news. The Jets are hurting at LB and we could easily put up big numbers if that scenario plays out. I expect the Browns to be pissed off and play inspired football and be disciplined we got bigger problems if that doesn’t play out
  7. Well it’s almost taken out of the game today (more touchbacks, punters getting direction and height more so than ever, holding penalties called every SP play) so given the current standard I agree. BUT Cribbs Hall and Hester were huge parts of their teams successes on specials team- you can’t discount those guys at the time they played. Hester is in IMO, Cribbs and Hall should get some votes anyone remember the Steelers Browns game we almost single handedly pulled off on Josh Cribbs special teams play???
  8. Pretty decent resume. 3 All Pro Seasons, All Decade Team, All Time Kickoff TD leader. Some of the best Punt and Kick return averages. Was a superb all around special teams guy (gunner). I think the Browns didn’t get him started enough early on offense
  9. I don’t know how much of a difference Sam Darnold makes. I was banking on a fumble and a couple errant throws in the second half when they Time actually calls for him to throw the ball down field. espn loves them some Darnold but the jets have protected him for over a year now and the offense has always been very safe and QB friendly Like his backup we have to be ready for the dunk and dunk offense. The problem with Mono your organs are under stress specifically the spleen if you have a bad case it’s enlarged and one hit to the area and you are in surgery for a ruptured spleen
  10. Played/Coached/currently Analyze rules and regs outside of sports for a living - most of the folks on here have a sense of things. I have to admit The Henry catch and run- Looked more obvious in real time. Aside from first drive catch that went to the doorstep of the goal line It was loudest yell of the game from me. When you freeze it you see his head on the back shoulder and hand on his back and his momentum driving the tackler into the ground- what else is needed? The Browns defender beats the titan blocker to the spot, the defender actually over pursues looks like he turns and breaks down to make a tackle gets hit from Side/back with defenders head on back and hand on back finishing the block to the ground. I don’t know if he makes the tackle he probably over-pursued the play but the blocker clearly had bad technique and couldn’t block properly because he was beaten to the spot by the defender. The personal foul garbage is all on the Browns. The holds most of those are called a few were ticky tack variety. The PI was a bang bang play with defender arriving slightly early. I don’t blame the ref you just hope we are on other end of it next time. I didnt see the Browns on the good side of many calls though on Sunday. I’m not yelling conspiracy or they have out for us...but the play I highlighted above was pretty significant given the the flag happy nature the refs had all game. How it was not considered a penalty was surprising given the way the yellow flags were thrown
  11. 90% of the time they miss the action that precedes the personal foul. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Pats, Titans, Ravens whatever. Pro...College...HS. Most coaches will tell you don’t let them bait you. The Titans brought it to us and we reacted negatively. So Kitchens should say we need to be smarter. i have nothing for the missed block in the back, phantom holds, OBJ PI where the defender was handsy all down the field. You hope at the end of the year they even out. We didn't get many 50/50 benefit of the doubt call or no calls this game.
  12. The block never started out front
  13. We lost we deserved to lose but they missed this call
  14. The illegal man down field is borderline the block was in the back- his dang hands were on his back i say hold because he catches his arm/shoulder area locks on and then finishes the block with his hands on his back driving him to the ground.
  15. The Henry 75 yard TD they were talking about illegal man down field possibly. I didn’t really focus on that but it was apparently close. The more egregious error was the hook/hold and then possibly block in the back right in front of Henry after he caught the ball. That gets called most of the Time. The lineman head may have snuck in front but he tagged him in the back shoulder. Not taking anything else away - Heck of a play call and it was executed well. But if we are calling the game tightly as they did I don’t know how you overlook that one. QB safety and those calls have no problem with those either they were cautious all game even to our detriment when Baker was ruled in the grasp way too early. the interior holds were either way too picky or you were thinking how did they miss that one and I’m talking both ways. I watched the giants game right after ours- they let the interior line play go- there were some guys tackling LBs that they didn’t call.
  16. “Awful” lol sarcasm. 17 for 75 is a product of their blocking and that’s a good front they went against. The casual fan just believes that a line should protect 5,6,7,8 seconds however long it takes to get a pass off. It doesn’t work that way even with 5 Pro Bowers in front of you. Baker had all day -all the time in the world - more than most QBs get. We were not disciplined we had a choppy game plan due in part to 2 and 25s and Tenn had a solid plan on offense. It came down to Mariota just staying with himself not doing too much and Baker feeling he had to do everything. Which should have been flipped given the personnel. This team is fine IMO. The Jets are going to get run over and then boat raced especially if Mosley can’t go
  17. You are right and again it is a complete overreaction. Get the ball out quicker to all these fancy toys we have and cut back on 6 personal fouls so we aren’t staring at 2 and 20. And let Chubb run he was a respectable 17 for 75 yesterday behind and awful line lol.
  18. Aside from Hubbard missing a block and committing a hold- what exactly do you expect out of an offensive line. baker held the ball too long on most occasions. in other occasions it was 2 and long all day and the defense was teeing off and he still had time. what does sending a 1st and 3rd to Washington for a 31 year old tackle do to alleviate questionable play calls and Baker holding onto the ball
  19. The main issue was lack of discipline (penalties) and it created 2 and 3rd and Longs most of the game which made the Browns one dimensional when the run game was doing pretty well. Defensively, the Titans were severely limited by their Oline reshuffling and Tenn game planned perfectly to address it. The Browns took away most of the run game gave up chunk yards in spots when they were gassed but had no answer for play action...and many times the titans used the Browns pressure against them- screens. The Henry 75 yard TE pass was aided by block back hold whatever. I thought Tenn O vs Browns D. Advantage Tenn O coaching staff with their plan and out lack of adjustment But I’m Not getting the Oline hate on here...The oline held up well Hubbard had his problems at times. Kush Tretter Botonio weren’t negatively mentioned...and all this after being placed in 2 and 3rd and Longs with the defense ears pinned back. TE play was awful- drops... holds. Collectively the TE group they all need to go this offseason. i watched 4 other games this week and the Browns game was officiated tight Ticky tack as heck compared to the others. Anyway lesson learned hopefully send that official crew a gift basket they have their eye on us.
  20. Random points here -The run game was never established and it could have been. -the titans were two dimensional on offense- play-action or Henry run which was ultimately used as set up the play-action. The defense was not just undisciplined but I’ll-prepared. The backers and safeties didn’t play well. -Baker held onto the ball too long also felt like the routes were downfield too much. Where were the quick hitters? -G. Robinson should be suspended for his stupidity in week 2 as well. -Myles Garrett underwhelming given the personnel on him. -while shorter routes would have helped I was waiting for OBJ double move. -TE position is weak spot -and we need a RT maybe a LT too -There was a hook/tackle/clip on at the point of attack on the Henry 75 yard pass. -D. Harris Phantom Hold - Baker in the grasp. - I have a couple more I think...
  21. The missed hook/clip/tackle at the point of attack on TD catch was bad
