  1. I get what you're saying about enjoying the draft, but 1sts are overrated. Look at some of the guys we got in later rounds the past years: JOK, Emerson and now Dawand. Compare that to our most recent 1sts Wills and Newsome like @bbedwardmentioned. And it is not like it is just the Browns FO. Look at what Carolina gave up for Bryce Young (worse trade than Watson. Come at me). 1sts are being thrown around like they're on Oprahs favorite things!
  2. Dear Lord, with more than a day to go, I am already jittery with game nerves... Go Browns!
  3. Pats did our Playoff hopes a favor, and we can do ourselves another one on Sunday. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we are rank #4 if we beat the Jags! Which changes nothing, because we still play them 1st round, but hey, finishing 4th is better than 5th, right? https://www.nfl.com/standings/playoff-picture 1Miami Dolphins 2Baltimore Ravens 3Kansas City Chiefs 4Jacksonville Jaguars 5Cleveland Browns 6Indianapolis Colts 7Houston Texans 8Pittsburgh Steelers AFC
  4. Agreed. You can see Joe in action here. Already liked his performance last week, and with another week of 1st team practice, it can only get better!
  5. Browns, Jaguars Week 14 injury report This game is all about injuries, and returning from them. Having already lost our starting QB and RB for the season, the injuries just seem to keep coming. First our Pro Bowl DE and CB, also losing our WR1 is just devastating. Myles returned, but using him as a 3rd down rusher for at least part of the Rams' game is not a good sign. Ward has returned to practice, but will he also be hampered? Having two of our DTs on the injury report is the putrid icing on the cake, as we can ill afford to lose any depth along the defensive interior, like the article states. Pray to god that we come out of this game without more injuries! Somehow, I still have us winning this game. I liked what we saw from Joe last week, and he had another week of practice with the team. His ability to get everyone involved and get the most from a given play should pay dividends against the Jags underwhelming pass D. Our D will give up a couple of devastating plays, as they have been doing, but our O does just enough to keep on top this time: Browns 27 - 24 Jags. Go Browns!
  6. ★ As our only selection not named Myles. Well deserved!
  7. Bell got hardly any snaps at all, despite what I would call showing promise as a rookie, despite below par QB play. I distinctly remember Tillman struggling to get open in the reps he got, which probably correlates with the 9 of 16 unsuccessful targets you mentioned. You know me, I overreact in one direction or another. I guess my point is: why isn't Bell getting more reps after showing promise, while Tillman is getting them after struggling? We need receivers to get open, and hold on to the ball when targeted. Those are two things Bell has shown to do well.
  8. If he comes out the season in one piece, it is time to seriously consider him as QB2 for next season too! Developing a 5th rounder sounds like something that belongs on the practice squad, and PJ Walker doesn't belong anywhere near the NFL unfortunately.
  9. Joe already got the best game out of Moore by far. Timely too, because his acquisition was well on its way to bustville! If Moore keeps playing like this, I am okay with our receiver room. Coop's a stud. I just wish Bell would be given reps over Tillman. As a rookie, Bell proved he could get open and has good hands, while almost the opposite could be said of Tillman. Hope he just needs time, cause he looks like a potential bust as well.
  10. As @Dutch Oven also indicated. There should not even be a discussion. I also think it is what the players want. Look at the reaction after that first drive. He is more than just accepted. The team loves to have him on board!
  11. You cannot possibly be serious. Joe threw double the yards, double the TDs, more YPA and one untimely Int in an attempt to win the game. Their performances aren't even close. Also Joe gets more receivers involved, hitting 9 different targets, compared to DTR's 6. That shows he goes through his progressions, and sees what the play gives him. If DTR doesn't see his first, or possibly second options open, he just passes out to the flats, or out of bounds. Training wheels QB play, compared to a vet who proved he's still got it!
  12. With both our D and running game not showing up today, Joe's play is literally the only thing that kept us in the game!
