  1. Lol...and the Cleveland jokes keep rollin in. NFL Sentences Deshaun Watson To 3 Seasons Of Playing For The Cleveland Browns | Babylon Bee NFL Sentences Deshaun Watson To 3 Seasons Of Playing For The Cleveland Browns SPORTS · Aug 1, 2022 · BabylonBee.com
  2. Not lookin at every post to see if this was already mentioned, so here it is. Deshaun Watson nixed settlement offer from NFL that would have suspended him for less than a year, per report - CBSSports.com The Browns QB could have ended all his suspension drama if he would have accepted this offer from the NFL
  3. Agree. Actually my comment was meant to be a joke...the irony in having a Baker thread to discuss about why we need to stop talking about Baker.lol
  4. Maybe you're not from Cleveland. Steve chose the Steelers for a reason. If I have to explain you wouldn't understand. Eh maybe you would.
  5. Not in the least surprised that meddling is acceptable to them. You have their cohorts in journalism saying it's OK to root for the democrat and demonize the Republican. "It's their duty".
  6. Yeah, that's what the Steelers get for trying to replace one pervert with another.
  7. I'm sure he's moved on, but I bet in the back of his mind he digs the Watson hate. And if this board reflects the overall attitude of Browns fans, my guess is that the ratio is probably 70-30 , 70 of course being those not giving a fuck about Baker. Consequently, 30% makes for pretty serious "fan club" if that's what you want to call it.
  8. Maybe we can use Hoortas thread as a " Time to move on, let's stop making threads or comments about Baker" thread.
  9. A lot of Baker talk thus far. Hoorta is just full of great ideas!
  10. Just some on the other side embrace woke? Then they're stupid too, which obviously doesn't qualify me as hypocritical. The woke culture is of the left, by the left, and for the left. It seems to me being more a case of you being in denial than of me being hypocritical. I agree with your take media sensationalism and click bait. The media been the root for much of the discord we have today.
  11. Agree, Woke is something stupid people say, as in #staywoke, actually an old term brought back to life and used exclusively by the stupidity on the left side of the aisle. Anyone else using it is only to mock. Again, I don't see the woke crowd coming to Watsons aid. No whining about "racism" or him being discriminated against.
  12. And the way you use a .22 or a handgun, or a baseball bat. I can assault you with those as well. The term "assault weapon" became widely used starting the late 1980s. Many attribute its popularization to a 1988 paper written by gun-control activist and Violence Policy Center founder Josh Sugarmann and the later reaction to a mass shooting at a Stockton, Calif., school in January 1989 I'm not sure now that even a fully automatic weapon is or was ever officially designated as an "assault weapon". My son-in-law was a captain in the in the infantry at Ft. Benning. I will ask him if the Army uses that term. Looking back, I think we are arguing two different aspects of the same topic? You're taking about how these weapons are used which designates them as assault weapons presuming that "assault" is a valid term. I'm arguing that there is no such thing as an "assault" weapon. Maybe Cal can straighten things out. I highly respect his knowledge of guns.
  13. Gold digging yeah, but I'm not seeing the woke mob thing. What I'm also not seeing is the "me too" crowd showing up to support these female therapists.
  14. So true. And the ones that do keep their political ideology to themselves will most likely be conservative. Otherwise they could find themselves in hot water.
  15. Here we go again having to explain what an assault rifle is. The current version of the AR-15 is not an assault rifle. The original ArmaLite AR-15 is unique among all rifles using the "AR-15" trademark, in that it is capable of selective fire and is an assault rifle. All other AR-15 style rifles are semi-automatic-only and descend from the civilian version, the Colt AR-15. The “AR” in “AR-15” rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in the 1950s. “AR” does NOT stand for “assault rifle” or “automatic rifle.” AR-15-style rifles are NOT “assault weapons” or “assault rifles.” An assault rifle is fully automatic, a machine gun.

  17. We have a better understanding of solar storms thanks to "Lance" Armstrong.
  18. What's your opinion on this. Not my words, got it from another site. if the NFLPA sues then Watson plays this year BUT... If I were Watson, I wouldn't allow the NFLPA sue. If that happens, then the whole process goes to litigation with an injunction on any decision and Watson will be allowed to play pending the outcome. The league can then toll the decision until after the end of the 2022 season, at which time Watson’s suspension could include a fine on his 2023 salary ($40+ million), instead of his 2022 $58k per game check.
  19. That was confusing as hell to me. The commish has no authority to unilaterally issue suspension, but in the end he really does. Robinson's ruling wasn't binding, though. Under the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement, the NFL commissioner no longer has the authority to unilaterally issue suspensions for violations of the personal-conduct policy. The commissioner does have a lot of latitude when the disciplinary officer deems a suspension to be worthy. In this case, the door remained open for the NFL to appeal and allow commissioner Roger Goodell to determine whether he will hear the appeal or appoint a designee to hear it. Goodell or his designee will then make a decision whether to uphold, extend or reduce the six-game suspension.
  20. That was meant for jrb over a comment he made. If you saw it already then simply ignore it. I don't know that jrb had. He doesn't appear to be a regular here.
  21. If you would have preferred to roll the dice with Baker then this will make you feel even worse...sorry!
  22. You're not being clear. You admit to a changing world in a positive sense, but the changes that Nickers described are nonsense? You mean they're not true? Calling you a child molester is wrong. I could never do that, would rather engage in civil debate... but now you must know how it feels to a conservative to be called a bigot, racist, homophobe, etc by libs just because they disagree with them.
  23. Wouldn't expect everyone living in the great state of Texas to know that liberals have already been doing that.
