  1. At least he wasn't prospect XX.
  2. PFF analysis Yes, he's still top30, and would be solid but not spectacular.
  3. It's never too early! "The future of the league is brown and orange"
  4. Seems like he just needs some coaching
  5. Pats get Winovich? Called it, just never imagined everyone else is ridiculous enough to let him fall to the 3rd.
  6. Bizarre to me that half the NFL doesn't understand: Outside of QB's at the top of the first, the draft isn't "we got a player" but rather "we chose not to upgrade how many OTHER positions to get what player" Sure, we could acquire a second 2nd-rd pick [and this year that might be worthwhile] but that means next year [or later in this draft] we won't have as much of an opportunity to add talent to the roster. The extreme example of this is the Ricky Williams trade.. He's barely worth a second-round pick let alone the entire draft. I'd trade Corbett for the chance to pick Risner, Taylor, or Bell in a heartbeat..
  7. Jawaan Taylor is still unsigned, but the Falcons picked people named McGary and Lindstrom.. who would/should have both been available after the Browns pick tonight. Titans take... Titus Howard? Broncos picked.. a TE instead of a QB? They must not be aware who they actually signed to run their team next season..
  8. I'm watching the PFF live draft coverage which for some reason is broadcast from a college undergrad offcampus living room.. it's 3 PFF guys with cris collinsworth, and it's fun to watch them awkwardly respond to old cris's "I'm just going off what I saw, I don't know your numbers"
  9. Tillery to the Chargers is too perfect.. Best value of the round so far. Oakland had 3 picks and came away with 1.4 players.. worst value of the round so far. Jonathan Abram is a box safety whose angles are complimentarily described as "atrocious," and both clelin farrell and josh jacobs were.. Not the best choices given players still on the board.
  10. Patriots finally get a decent linebacker not named Hightower. Good value because he could have gone as high as the second. Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State
  11. Rams need edge players.. competent DL outside of Donald would, at this point, be an upgrade. Fowler is meh at best, and they're not bringing back Suh. Anthony Nelson, DE, Iowa
  12. Pats need an OT to replace Trent Brown, and they waited for the guy who [along with Slayton] was the best player at the East-West Shrine Game to fall to them. Trey Pipkins, OT, Sioux Falls
  13. Rams take a player late in rd3 who will be a solid starter for years.. to replace the disappointing Marcus Peters, who can shift to the slot. Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn
  14. Patriots take the best route runner in the draft.. the younger brother of Falcons starter Calvin. Good value for mid-round-3 when he could have gone mid-2. Riley Ridley, WR, Georgia
  15. Unexpectedly, Patriots draft a TE. Caleb Wilson, TE, UCLA
  16. Patriots were going to go TE with this pick but see a player who fell that Belichick has his eye on. It doesn't hurt that the Pats need someone there in addition to Hightower. Chase Winovich - LB, Michigan Patriots don't forget that Trey Flowers was also a later-round guy who was very high in translateable PR.
  17. I did also link the PFF article showing him tied with Williams for pressure % from the interior.. Jones wasn't as efficient. Pats also traded a 5th for Michael Bennett [and a 7th] earlier this month so their DL might be competent this year for the first time in a while. And the AFCN gets both the AFCE and NFCW so we'll get to test ourselves against both SB teams next season.
  18. Pats have been looking for pressure out of the interior DL for a while and select Jerry Tillery, Notre Dame. They'll replace Gronk on day 2. In January, WalterFootball called the Pats replacing him this offseason even if he didn't retire..
  19. Rams take G Chris Lindstrom, Boston College
  20. Unless it's a pick, stop posting in this thread. Tour please delete all the non-pick posts including my earlier Rams one.
  21. Rams lost Saffold to the Titans a couple weeks ago, and their center should have retired a couple seasons ago. They take the best OL remaining on the board who just happens to be athletic enough to be a day-1 starter at any OL spot. Their QB needs an elite line, but without Saffold, they still need work just to get back to average. OT Jonah Williams, Alabama
  22. It should shock nobody that the Pats have increased the candidates they're looking at for their first-round pick. To be fair, 47/682/3 isn't exactly Gronk's typical annual stats.. he was a shell of his former self in 2018.
  23. Great article on The Ringer: "I believe in the power of leadership and intangibles, but that comes after having good players."
  24. True, except that's too much money for under 45 catches a year.. aka at best the Alvin Harper to some Irvin..
  25. In every game of poker, if you dont know who the sucker is within 2 minutes of sitting down... it's you. Dorsey correctly identified one of the worst GM's in the league and is taking advantage.
