And then there's this closeted homosexual once again banging the war drum. If you declare war on Iran, then not only will the Red Sea be shut down from trade from the bullshit going on in Israel/Gaza, but the Iranians would then embargo the Persian Gulf to trade. I guess it's not a bad move if your goal is to shut down the global economy and force WW3.

This has got to be the most bizarre EO I've ever seen (text below). If it's a retaliation against what Texas is doing on the border, then he's cutting off the nose to spite the face. After destruction of the nordstream pipeline, the EU has become very dependent on American LNG (see graph below). Germany's energy suppliers immediately responded with concerns that this EO may have severe negative economic and social impacts (last text below). Sure, this might hurt Texans' wallets, but this will absolutely FUCK Europeans. European energy suppliers ramped up production of LNG tankers last year to make up for lost energy from Russia - the tankers cost a quarter of a billion each! I never thought I'd see the day where the neoliberals in the EU break step with the Democrats here, but here we are. I would not be shocked if this is the event that pushes Germany to cozy up with Russia. It's absolutely insane how poor Biden's foreign policy is - he's alienating just about everyone.

Damn. Wish he'd have stayed. Would have loved to see Day get over the hump and beat Harbaugh.

Vacating a title is the dumbest punishment in the history of sports. We all watched the game and saw who won.

Maersk is again suspending operations in the Red Sea after two of its ships were attacked. Mass farmer protests in France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain against EU climate policies

NATIONAL CHAMPION MICHIGAN WOLVERINES!!!!
VaporTrail replied to MLD Woody's topic in COLLEGE FOOTBALL FORUM
As a somewhat neutral to the greatest rivalry in all of sports, I think it's safe to say that the rivalry is back. It fuckin sucked when Michigan wasn't good for a decade. Michigan fans with their fake apathy toward the rivalry was sad. I want to see petty insults and shit flinging like we are seeing in this thread. It should come down to the OSU Michigan game at the end of every season to see who gets a shot at the title. College football is better when both teams are good. It's the best soap opera on TV. -

Maersk resumes shipping via Suez after 48h pause, one of their ships predictably gets bombed by Houthis, and now they pause transit of the Red Sea indefinitely. Operation Prosperity Guardian doesn't seem to be reassuring most of the shippers that this lane is safe. Shipping via Red Sea has slowed to a trickle. most ships are now taking the long way around Africa - adding 2000 miles to the trip and increasing transit times by up to a week. This will likely be reflected by increased inflation over the next weeks to months. Sailors of the destroyer USS Carney have been awarded a combat ribbon by the US Navy. This suggests that Houthis were targeting the ships directly. This is at odds with recent Pentagon statements that USN vessels are not being targeted. Bloomberg reporting that Russian seaborne oil exports have ended the year on a high. More evidence that sanctions on Russia have not had the planned effect.

This is going to be the first real good defense Flacco has played. Surely, they will have to double Cooper, which should open up everyone else and hopefully add something resembling a running game.
