Here’s the difference, the Trump cult stormed the capital. The Biden cult did what EVERY OTHER transfer of power did. Graciously

If Biden loses in November, will the Biden supporters storm the capital next January?  I’m guessing NO

Of course nowhere in that definition did it say cult members protest when they believe that there's been a miscarriage of Justice. Which they did. To some extent so do i. We've discussed this before. And are you telling me you don't think there will be riots in the streets if Trump beats Biden in 24?

The word cult is defined as a system or group of people who practice excessive devotion to a figure, object, or belief system, typically following a charismatic leader.

Your point? I know how you love to play the devil's advocate, and that's cool, but tell me how that wouldn't apply to Joe Flacco or Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or Baker Mayfield or Mother Teresa or L Ron Hubbard or Elon Musk or Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga oreven Joe Biden if you read any of cccps crap?

Not to mention Jesus Moses and Muhammad?

ByDon won the election, why wouldn't he take the victory. He was the victor. A cult full of snowflakes don't get to determine who gets to celebrate.

Hey I was hoping the GOP might come back from crazy town but didn't think it would happen. I care to point out you nutjob's selective memory and how Cheetos is an idiot. Have you not read my post before? Hey remember when the border was a big deal.

“Let's not have somebody take a victory when she had a very bad night. She had a very bad night.” - Cheetos Jesus.

"Frankly, we did win this election." - Cheetos Jesus after losing the 2020 election.

Don't actually care because it's bullshit. If we're talking about Haley she did not win. Even if she claims it's a moral victory. And, you fucking stooge, I was joking about Biden because he shouldn't have taken a victory when it was bullshit. And that part isn't bullshit. As opposed to some others here I've got no particular gripe with Haley. It's a case of don't let the good be the enemy of the perfect or in this case don't let the okay be the enemy of the somewhat better.

I think King George declared a moral Victory After the Revolutionary War by the way.

Also I figure she can keep campaigning as long as she has money. It's going to be embarrassing if she loses her home state but WTF? And you're not voting for her in the general election anyway so what the fuck do you care?

  5. Back to the original topic now we know who is really responsible for the insurrection. The answer? Nobody. The same people who are actually responsible for the Death Star coming to destroy the Earth in Star wars. It's fucking fiction idiots.

Or to give you the benefit of the doubt let's say it's whatever the Democrat Party/media's version of George Lucas might be.

    Glad I could help.

    Ugh ... Here I go ...

Where did I make that statement Steve? When did I say "he has nothing to offer except the feud with Disney"... Go ahead. Find it.

How quickly you run to putting words in my mouth... But yeah, a typical Steve tactic to force me to respond

    Basically:

It is a shame you're pretending to live Trump now. You spent the last year supporting Christie. After all of the times you said he was a better candidate, and now you flock back to Trump. Pretty sad and spineless.

I did support Christie. Now I don't. As you recall I did support John Kasich . Now I don't . I wasn't always disgusted by Joe biden, now I am. I never particularly hated Barack Obama and still don't. I still like Donald Trump, believe that the charges against him are bullshit, and also wish that he would shut the fuck up a lot of the time. I hope I always have the ability to regroup my beliefs about candidates and issues. Unlike some of you people.

Blindly hating Donald Trump is not a good political platform. Nor is blindly loving him, or anybody else. Then again possibly 90% of the accusations against any candidate on either side are bullshit by nature.

That's a whole lot of rambling and a whole lot of nothing.

Desantis also hid and skewed COVID data to fit his agenda. He lost the court case on it too.

Desantis was nothing more than some tiny "anti woke" crusader. He never had a shot. The fact posters here thought he had a shot (in those few months where posters in here wanted to pretend like they were over Trump and tried to distance themselves from him) was insane.

Those tactics paired with the personality of a wet blanket wasn't ever going to get anything done

So yeah, he peaked "fighting" a "social war" by harassing trans kids and pro LGBTQ teachers. By censoring our racially charged history. By hiding COVID data. By getting in a pissing match with Disney. Etc

    What a champion!

    He was never beating Trump.

And that isn't the point. Probably nobody is. Point is Woodrow is you made a stupid statement saying that he had nothing to offer except the feud with Disney which you and many others of your ilk have lied about, but that's to be expected.

And I absolutely understand you're not interested in a back and forth because, well, you're wrong and don't have the wits to defend yourself. So just whine typical Steve and crawl back into Joe Biden's pants.

I knew you'd come running to that post.

I'm not doing a whole back and forth. I'll leave it at this. If you don't think a huge portion of Trump's internet / always online base wasn't birthed out of the Q movement and conspiracy, including some mentally challenged posters here, you're a delusional idiot. When it comes to MAGA/conservative conspiracy theories these folks are Q or Q adjacent. Again, you have plenty of examples here

Now knock the pieces over, shit on the board, and claim you won. Whatever gets you through the day

You do a lot of whining for a fellow was so little to say.

If you call a pissing match with Disney "peaking"

Well if you paid more attention or had more understanding of anything you'd be a more interesting conversation. But fuck Disney I don't care about them they can cut their own throats if they feel like it. And sorry to play the H word I doubt you'd have the sympathy for 3M Halliburton or Monsanto if the situation was with a Democrat governor. But who cares? Personally I think one of the main issues is the fact that he was right on covid and Gavin Newsom was wrong. Plus he selected the open border to be one of his mattress where Nikki Haley selected tick tock. And seriously I doubt whoever the Republicans put up is going to matter to you. So there's that. Cheers.

  12. Barbie

    Warner brothers

    PG 13. 111 min

I really didn’t have much interest and seeing this one because I thought it was probably geared toward 12 year old girls and no more serious than a Super Mario film. As time went on it climbed up the charts to being one of the biggest grossing films of all time. As usual I didn’t read any reviews, preferring to do that after I’ve made-up my mind, but I did see some blurbs from political writers, left and right. Oddly enough no one commented on whether the film was any good just that it was extremely woke with a message either for good or bad, depending on the writer. That message seems to be twofold; first that men are bad and women are good and 2nd that human nature is guided bye a plastic doll. Someone here seems to believe that humans and women are attracted to people who look like Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) because Mattel sold a lot of toys. Personally I think that’s ridiculous and the body style of the toys was determined by what most normal humans find to be attractive. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder but there's a reason that movie stars news anchors swimsuit models and entertainers are attractive and that includes both men and women. Think about it do you think that if Playboy magazines centerfolds all looked like Lizzo she would be the American ideal of the perfect woman? Or do you think Playboy would just not sell anymore issues? Anyway that's what the movie is, a heavy-handed and shrill attack on what they consider to be patriarchy, a word that’s repeated over and over. I’ll let the political pundits deal with that. I’ve promised you that I won’t give a bad movie a good grade because I agree with the message or vice versa, but propaganda aside this is not a good movie though there are certainly some clever aspects involved, though they’re wasted. For instance the opening scene, a parody of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 will probably be lost on the uninitiated. The sets and the look of Barbie world including her car house etcetera are pretty cool but again, like most special effects, it all becomes commonplace as the film rolls along. Because of some rift in the space slash time continuum Barbie finds herself in the real world of Los Angeles. While she’s away all the Kens turn feral and make Barbie world Into a man cave. When the executives at Mattel find out she’s escaped It turns into a stupid action film as they try to capture her and put her back in her box. Fortunately in the end she sees the light and the world is saved and the message is loud and clear. Men suck and women should rule the world as long as they are women of color and not very attractive. Meet the new boss; Same as the old boss. If the jokes had been funny, the action scenes exciting and the story complex and intriguing I’d have given BARBIE a better grade. But they weren’t and I didn’t.

By the way if anyone thinks this is an important blow against the power structure and the people at Mattel who make plastic dolls in order to rule the world, keep in mind that they are raking in the prophets like never hi buddy hi little cat I love my little before.

I actually checked the thesaurus to see if misogyny had a counterpart that dealt with men. Apparently not. But it should and this would be it.

  13. Wonka

    Warner Brothers

    PG 13.         116 min

Well, To be honest I’m not particularly choked up with another telling of the Willy Wonka saga. Didn’t really love the first couple even though I enjoyed Gene Wilders portrayal better than Johnny Depp, who based his quirky mannerisms on Michael Jackson, so he says. I just thought it was a little bit creepy. One thing I remember about the first two is that they were both darker than one might imagine from listening to the Anthony Newley Leslie Bricusse 1971 Academy Award nominated soundtrack. I personally love Pure Imagination though Sammy Davis Jr ‘s version of The Candy Man was the biggest hit. For the younger readers yes, it is a musical. On the other hand for the older readers it’s not the same story. This time it’s a prequel That harkins back to the day our hero arrives in the big city with the dream to be the world's most famous chocolate maker. Armed with nothing but a dream and his sainted mother's recipe. There are, however, evil forces standing between him and that dream; the giant corporate candy maker who will stop at nothing to drive out any competition aided and abetted by a corrupt Police Department , church and an unscrupulous innkeeper who holds Wonka and several others captive in the hotel basement forced into slave labor in the laundry. You may have guessed it’s a little bit surreal. This version contains a little more of an action mystery than the first two and it's not nearly as dark. Also star Timothy Chalamet was selected more for his musical theater, ie singing and dancing chops than his acting or star power. These songs, having been written for another story don’t necessarily fit the narrative but each are well done as individual presentations. The story becomes more interesting and enjoyable as the film rolls along And it gets more enjoyable as it goes along unlike another film we've touched on in this issue.
