tml1138
Wow...debating who is better....JF or Carr. Stop the madness. I'm with ballpeen and mik on trusting in Farmer. I really want him to be our Ozzie Newsome. A little bit of slack should probably be given for his first year as head GM, but I hope he hits the ground running. jcam222
I hadn't watched the USC game till now. PoG, I admire your dedication. But that was the worst four quarters of football I've seen from a QB since watching Weeden film. You can make all the excuses you want. Carr panics under pressure. His fundamentals break down, especially footwork and throwing motion. He misses open receivers down the field even when not pressured, and doesn't throw a catchable ball--he routinely sails the ball high and throws to bad spots. Drafting him before the fourth round would be extremely upsetting. This x

I wouldnt mind using the 2nd on him IF we are stupid and dont end up with one of the top 3.
LogicIsForSquares
USC was not the college equivalent of Seattle. They were a mid tier team, the first one Carr played all year, and they made him look foolish. No thanks.
Thomaspro
Saw something yesterday made me laugh. Brandon Carr told some media people that different teams have told him, if they draft him they will bring along his older brother as a back-up. I get it, it has happened before. But I sure as heck do not want David Carr as my #2 QB on my team. 13 years in the league. Not much left in the tank. Please take Bortles or Bridgewater and have them sit a year behind Hoyer at the minimum.
jiggins7919
I gotta believe, like most here, that this is all complete smokescreen material. Considering we even know which QB we'd like to draft, how many of our staff would know it? Two? Ray Farmer and Pettine? There's no way either of them would spill the beans, so I'm thinking we deliberately slipped out the info on Carr. Like several people have said, I think he has several of Weeden's bad traits and we're not going to risk another high pick on a guy from a shotgun only offense. And again, this is all assuming we even KNOW who we want. We pretty much have eight weeks until the friggin draft, so I'm guessing we have an idea of who we want early, but nothing concrete. Yes we have a ton of picks, but the first 3 are so important this year, we can't afford to screw up.
cambridgeho
Its all a crap shoot man. We are going to draft Aaron Murray in the 3rd anyway. So were good.
