calfoxwc
Barwin really seems like a poor man's Curry. That is a GREAT time. TRADE DOWN, BROWNS ! Matt Shaunessy ran that slow? I thought he was supposed to be quick. Raji and Sammie Lee Hill can really, really -move- for huge dlinemen. Makes me wonder if Samme Lee improves his draft status to the third round, even. He'd make a great 4th round pick I would imagine. A lot of teams, including the Browns? May want to take a very serious look at Orakpo. He's a workout warrior, but being able to run the 40 that quick means he isn't just a musclebound Lurch. I was watching Evander Hood on the NFL channel do bench presses. He did 34 and made it look easy. That was impressive. Apparently, some wr's can run the forty sub 4.3. More than a couple ? Wow.

JewDago
though not major, there was some minor differential in the bench press, where orakpo put it up 31 times to brown's 26, but we all know orakpo's somewhat of a workout warrior, albeit one who produced on the field as well as in the weight room. We need Tom Tupa
PFT: http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/02/23/...ulls-out-a-460/ Texas linebacker Brian Orakpo has posted an unofficial 4.63 in the 40-yard dash. Orakpo, 6′3″ and 263 pounds, has drawn comparisons from NFLN’s Mike Mayock to DeMarcus Ware. Though he’s projected as an outside linebacker in the 3-4, Mayock, Charles Davis, and Warren Sapp agreed that Orakpo could be a rush end in the 4-3. “You can’t put him on the left side [where] right-handed teams come at you with that big old right tackle and they just maul you and just lay on you,” Sapp said. “You can’t put him on that side.”

How about Veikune's times? Can this guy do enough to stick as a OLB or will he become a pass rush specialist in a 4-3? Intriguing, especially with his bench and now this. Mr. T
Are you going to post shuttle times as well? that is key for LB. More so than 40 times. Thanks for the work that you do here Al.
Guest Aloysius
They don't report the shuttle times on the live stream of the drill, so no. But I'm looking forward to seeing those numbers. The LB drills will be crucial in determining whether Veikune can play 3-4 OLB.

Guest AdaM
Ah, the hammy. As someone who has probably pulled his hamstring about 12-15 times, you know it when you feel it. Never pulled mine thankfully. I never had any injury problems in sports, last spring I sprained the crap out of my left ankle coming down for a rebound while getting bumped in the air. It wasn't high thankfully, but it turned purple and sidelined me for about 2 months. A few weeks ago I rolled the same ankle off the edge of the sidewalk (it hurt much worse the 2nd time) but I was walking / jogging in 3 days. I can still feel a tiny bit of pain when I put weight / turn on it a certain way. I hope its not screwed for life now
