I can't bring myself to vote for ANY of these people....... At this time

So what does an American do now?

I can't vote for Hillary, or Bernie,Trump,Cruz Rubio.........

Write-in a name?

Idk, but the worst thing you can do is not vote at all.

I subscribe to the saying that if i'm able to vote, yet fail to do so, then I have no right to criticize how the government is being ran.

If I were a Dem, I'd feel the same way...

On the other hand, I'd take anyone on the stage tonight PLUS Carly over Clot or Bernie.. or Joker Joe who I believe will be the eventual Dem puppet over the embarrassment of the last 8 yrs..

I don't know why Kasich wouldn't be a good vote, especially

for someone who has reasons for not wanting to vote for

any of the others.

Seems that only Kasich and Carson are positive and upbeat

about the challenge, are very intelligent, and very, very accomplished.

They are both inspiring people.

George Carlin might have a disagreement with you there.

I want the anti establishment people. If you can freak out DC and Republicans like Trump can then I see it as a good thing. Ditto with Sanders and the Democrats.

If we get a Hillary Rubio election I'll probably vote for the libertarian party candidate or something.

Rubio took a lot of punches from Christie, probably by design. But he did have a point regarding "Obama knows exactly what he's doing" comments, basically trying to transform America through the back door.

While I am very leery of the Rs nowadays, I cannot vote for Hilary either. The Rs are usually better with the foreign policy issues. Trump doesn't get into details, but I do think he would do anything he can to be USA business friendly and cut the corporate taxes that seem to drive businesses out of our country. It was the one thing nobody seemed to debate with Trump ($ 230 trillion , something like that I thought I heard).

I never thought I'd be leaning R (after 2011), but they're wooing me in.

Exactly...excellent point, Cysko, thanks for making it.

True, that's why I keep seeing him as VP. Our country needs the uplifting,

bringin us together, and positive outlook after the dirtbag asswipes

in our WH now. I included moochelle in that plural.

I will make this point again, there is not one man in the world who can successfully handle each and every facet of running a high school football team.

Let alone a country the size and scope of the United States of America.

To some extent the election of a president indicates the general feelings of the country but those feelings are almost never put into motion.

Some of the truest words ever spoken in this forum. Of the 2 left standing it will be a lesser of two evils vote.

I never fully agreed with the argument of not voting for the lesser of the two evils as you are still voting for evil. Many times that is the only choice. I would prefer the candidate I consider to be the lesser of the two evils and many times that is what I am feeling when I vote.

Do the nominees go on to announce the 'would-be' secretaries? So you can see, if you vote for this guy, you get this guy as education secretary, or whatever? That way you can vote for a 'package' rather than just a face.

Not usually - some advisors to the campaign usually carry over. General election time is when you hear all that stuff.

You have Jeb Bush though, who has all the same foreign policy advisors as his brother and father - which is obviously incredibly stupid in my opinion, and evidence as to why this Bush isn't any different.

That's what I meant - will Trump and Clinton declare ahead of time who would be in their cabinet (or whatever the US equivalent is)?

You are lucky since Ohio is a state that can go either way, so the electoral college hasn't rendered your vote moot.

For some maybe, they really don't finalize anything until they're elected. From November to inauguration is when it really gets finalized.

to the op... I'd say this:

The extremist leftwing has taken over the political party, that used to be

the Democrat party.

they will try anything, do anything, say anything, to get and keep that power.

Wonderful, good people all too often won't subect their children and spouses,

and parents, etc... to the filth and attacks by the left.

That really limits the choices. So, there ya go, it's the left's fault.

Liberals always make the exact opposite happen than what their stated intentions allegedly were.

It's the liberals' fault there aren't good options on the left.

Hahaha. Got it

Liberals are Nazis.

You think people have different ideas on what's better for the country? No. Liberals are literally Hitler.
