Quinn, Reuters, and NYT have Trump +20 or more in their newest - I think this poll is an outlier, maybe Murdoch'd (conspiracy)

edit:

and fox. Definitely something fishy with the WSJ poll.

It probably was an outlier but still good news for Cruz. It was a small sampling size...no conspiracy theories.

When Cruz gets schlonged on Saturday, his campaign is over. SC is literally his last chance and Trump is still +10-15 there. Nevada is also going to be a blowout, Trump +20.

Trump has already won the nomination.

SC is an open primary and Trump will get cross over democrat votes. A better test will be a state that does not have an open primary. Trump is only ahead because of six candidates still in the race. Trump loses badly in head to head matchups with both Cruz and Rubio. Don't go counting your Trump eggs before they hatch. There is still a long way to go.

Crossover is very little, maybe a few thousand votes at most.

NH or Iowa - every nominee ever in the history of the party has won one of those. That isn't going to change in 2016 - and Cruz is not going to win another state, alas my conclusion is that Trump has already won.

I am fine with any of the republican candidates and would vote for any of them over Clinton or Sanders. Trump says he is pro life now. Good. He says he only supports Planned Parenthood if they get out of the abortion business. I'm fine with that. He says he supports second amendment rights. Great. He wants to have better trade deals and secure the border. Right on.

My problem with Trump is this is all empty talk right now. it is nothing more than the hope and change slogan with Obama. Nobody has any idea if he can deliver on his promises. He promises to make Mexico pay for the wall on the border but has he ever said how he will make Mexico pay for that wall? I can guarantee you that talk does not play well in Mexico and there is no way they will pay for that wall. Well some say he will put a tax on what they ship to the United States. These other countries are not just going to roll over for Trump and will put tariffs of their own on our goods and a trade war could be the end result.

Joe Namath famously said it is not bragging if you can do it. Trump if elected will have a lot to deliver.

He said he would take the money out of the remittances send back to Mexico from illegal immigrants (~80% of illegal immigrants send money home) - to get them to pay for the wall. People say it's cruel because their families back home depend on it - your choice.

And Cruz and Ruboto haven't done anything either (the 2nd and 3rd place guys). Cruz sponsored bills on amnesty and all that stuff, but he never got anything done except for shutting down the government for stupid reasons and yelling about how he's a true christian conservative.

Unfortunately I fucked up, hit the wrong button and deleted the thread instead of just my remark. I apologize gentlemen.

I'm just trying to figure out what you could have possibly said that you wanted to retract...

Holy unchartered territory, Batman!!! ;)

Why is Trump saying here that it will be on trade that he will have Mexico pay for the wall? He is also saying he is going to deport all the illegals. Not possible and everyone who has looked at this knows it. It is not possible to deport up to (at least)12 million people and that is just pie in the sky empty rhetoric.

Donald Trump promises 'deportation force' to remove 11 million

Pressed on how he would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants from the country, Donald Trump said Wednesday he would build a "deportation force."

Trump was pressed for specifics on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" by co-host Mika Brzezinski, who asked if he would have a "massive deportation force."

If you think this will ever happen I have a bridge to sell you.

I'm not really strong on the idea of deporting people - I just think Cruz is the biggest disaster in the race. I've already accepted that Trump is the GOP nominee.

The trade deficit is in addition to the remittance statement, though. Trump wants to do things like get rid of NAFTA and I'm not sure how long such an endeavor would take, ditto the trade deficit isn't something that can be fixed overnight.

Vice-Palin?

This would confirm the conspiracy that Trump doesn't want to win.

Has the republican party gone further to the right or the democrat party gone further to the left. If you would just go by the media you would think it is only the republicans who have been hijacked by the right wing extremists and tea partiers but the truth is look no farther than the presidential race and how popular socialist Bernie Sanders is amongst the democrats. it has been the democratic party that has swung more heavily to the left by far.

I think your verb tense is wrong. The Dems may now be going, but the Repub's have gone... and may still be going.

Sure there has always been a radical wing of the Dems, but rarely do they find a radical enough candidate to get behind. Repub's on the other hand have been cranking out extreme conservatives since they actively sought to co-op the Tea Party movement.

I think it is good for ultra conservatives to see the likes of Bernie. Gives contrast and perspective to their past characterizations of President Obama and Hillary... as in "if you thought they were liberal, wait'll to get a load of this guy."

It's what Cruz is doing for the Repubs... providing contrast...

I'm having second thoughts about Cruz myself (not happy with what his campaign did to Carson in Iowa) but realistically I see a three man race right now with Trump, Cruz and Rubio. I don't think Trump has this locked up yet but for sure he is the odds on favorite. I like Kasich a lot but he has no shot.

It comes down to your perspective. Was John McCain whom the repubs ran in 08 an extremist? Was Mitt Romney in 12? I consider Obama an extremist but that is from a conservative's perspective. How we see these things are definitely influenced by what side of the fence we are on.

I don't want to get into dueling google searches but there are many articles to read from showing democrats have moved even farther to the left than republicans have to the right.

Probably so I'm in process or mistake in wording and rather than to edit I figured I just delete my response and rewrite it.

Sometimes I have to proofread the speech to text once it's posted because sometimes it automatically corrects after I hit send.

My take is that on the republican side it will not be Trump. I think it will be Cruz or Rubio. The latest WSJ poll has Cruz overtaking Trump in the national polls. Trump has some big negatives and a low ceiling and as the republican field dwindles the other candidates numbers go up but not so much with Trump. In head to head matchups of Trump and Cruz and Trump and Rubio both are beating Trump easily right now (ahead by about 16 points each). If Trump does not win the nomination I hope he keeps his pledge not to run third party but he keeps threatening that he might if he is not treated fairly. If Trump runs third party I think he would take enough votes away from republicans to give the election to the democrats whomever they have.

Clinton should get indicted on her emails, if anyone else did what she did they surely would be. I still would be surprised to see a socialist win the democratic primary and even more surprised if a socialist could win in the general election. Democrats for Sanders ought to be furious at the rigged super delegates situation. That is nothing but the establishment democrats trying to take the vote from the people and put their thumb on the scale of the candidate they want to run. I think if Biden somehow got in the race he would be their strongest candidate.

It's long been theorized that Trump has benefitted from the size of the Republican field. That the larger field allowed him to skate along without detailing any of his grand plans for America's return "awesomeness". It's begun to come true.

Now polls show that when it becomes a 2-man race for the Repub nomination that Cruz beats Trump and Rubio beats Trump. However, Trumps beats both Bush and Kasich handily.

As for the Dems... All Dems are socialists, just as a vast majority of Republicans are. If you support Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Unemployment Compensation, Public Education, Libraries or any other public program in any form, then you are a socialist by definition. It's all a matter of degree. Bernie is a bit further out on the curve.

As for the e-mails... When you say "her e-mails", what to what are you referring? Two or more's specific content? The use of a personal system? I suspect the latter, but if that's the case, then you should know there is a long list of high-ranking government officials that have done so for years.

Probably in every administration since Gore invented the internet... ;)

Edit: And if Trump goes 3rd party, look for Bloomberg to go 4th party...

I would think Kasich would top the list of vice president candidates for whomever wins.

Kasich is the scariest general election candidate that the Repub's currently have on stage. I'm not sure he would accept a VP nom under any of the other candidates unless he is overwhelmed by his sense of duty to the party.

The trade deficit is in addition to the remittance statement, though. Trump wants to do things like get rid of NAFTA...

Exactly how does one undo a ratified treaty? Can't imagine it is a simple Presidential action...

As I've said before my vision isn't very good. Ocular histoplasmosis syndrome to be exact. Makes it very hard for me to read a printed page but I can do a few words at a time, it just slows me down. Makes it very hard to type. That actually is very frustrating condition.

It's a rare condition but similar in some ways to macular degeneration.
