The Gipper
OK, so....fuck a bunch of Josh Gordon. Forget about him. But that position looks now to be a dire need for the Browns: Wide Receiver (fair to say?) Here are the WRs CBS Sports says could go in the Top 3 rounds...and I have no doubt the Browns will have to take one that high: 11 *Laquon Treadwell WR 1 Ole Miss Jr 6-2 221 1 23 *Corey Coleman WR 2 Baylor rJr 5-11 194 1 28 *Will Fuller WR 3 Notre Dame Jr 6-0 186 1-2 31 Josh Doctson WR 4 TCU rSr 6-2 202 1-2 44 *Tyler Boyd WR 5 Pittsburgh Jr 6-1 197 2 46 *Michael Thomas WR 6 Ohio State rJr 6-3 212 2 58 *Pharoh Cooper WR 7 South Carolina Jr 5-11 203 2 69 Sterling Shepard WR 8 Oklahoma Sr 5-10 194 2-3 71 Braxton Miller WR 9 Ohio State rSr 6-1 201 2-3 77 *Rashard Higgins WR 10 Colorado State Jr 6-1 196 2-3 87 Leonte Carroo WR 11 Rutgers Sr 6-0 211 3 94 *Kenny Lawler WR 12 California rJr 6-2 203 3 98 Jordan Payton WR 13 UCLA Sr 6-1 207 3 102 Kolby Listenbee WR 14 TCU rSr 6-0 197 3-4 105 Keyarris Garrett WR 15 Tulsa rSr 6-3 220 3-4 111 Aaron Burbridge WR 16 Michigan State Sr 6-0 206 3-4 119 *Bralon Addison WR 17 Oregon rJr 5-9 197 3-4 Where do you think the Browns may go with this. Where do you want to see them go? The number in the front represent their total overall prospect rating.
darren15
Want Sterling Shepard in Cleveland then maybe another later in rounds 6 or 7 .......WR class is quite deep this year ....Shepard is 5.10 and is a slot type receiver but can play on the outside too ...... Shame we do not know what will happen to Gordon before the draft
The Gipper
No one should count on Gordon at all. The Browns may indeed decide to just cut their losses and release him. They probably should if they could do so. So, lets forget about his ass. Currently on the roster are WRs: Andrew Hawkins Brian Hartline Taylor Gabriel Marlon Moore Terrelle Pryor Rannell Hall Darius Jennings Doctson has often mentioned as a possible at #32. So, I think this position needs a boost.

The Gipper
Are there any FA receivers still available ? Good question....but perhaps no one this Moneyball team will go for as the alleged best of the bunch are all older: Roddy White Percy Harvin Anquan Boldin Jason Avant Andre Johnson Jaron Brown Sey Ajirotutu (who?) Marques Colston and......wait for it: Dwayne Bowe Now, a couple of these guys could come in here and show this team and WR corps what it is to be a pro (White, Boldin, Johnson), but our FO won't go for the older fellers....or for they paychecks. gftChris
No worries, we've got Terrell Pryor. We can take Braxton Miller in the third, and be all sorted.
The Gipper
I can see Treadwell falling to 32. Why when he is considered by this source to be the 11th best overall player available? gftChris
I can't see us taking a WR before round three at the earliest, fwiw. History tells us we can get value at that position later on, more so than other positions.

calfoxwc
I just don't know. Of all the drafts to desperately need to hit on a terrific wr pick... this draft is so disappointing. In a late round... I still like Mike Thomas...of S. Mississippi. With two picks in the fourth round, I could pick him with one of those picks, and maybe have the steal wr in the draft. The Eagles are hot on his trail.... so you can't wait til the sixth... http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2016/03/eagles_hosting_southern_mississippi_wr_mike_thomas.html

gftChris
I'd like to see Tyler Boyd but I still kinda wanna go defense at #32 There are too many good players available to go for a receiver at #32. If we go QB at 2, we still have a load of holes (yes, including WR) where good value will be available.
calfoxwc
Was interested in Boyd until I saw he'd been arrested for DUI. Off-field decision-making needs investigated - arrested and charged with a DUI (June 2015), leading to a suspension over the summer and 2015 season opener. Doctson would be a better pick. but, these wr's aren't as solid as a lot of other players at other positions there at the second round pick... unless they trade down from 32 or something... calfoxwc
Just draft both Michael Thomases and we're good. I think the Ohio State version doesn't make it to the second round, that's all. hope I'm wrong.

Vince Mayle, Carlton Mitchell, Paul Hubbard, Syndric Steptoe, Travis Wilson, Qunicy Morgan, Andre King. JaJuan Dawson? The ONLY guy of any value they have ever gotten below round 2 is Travis Benjamin.
