He's As Much of a Scientist as I Am

Yeah boys, we can Overlook a few little niggling qualifications as long as you spout the proper ideological mantra.

"Sarah Palin talks funny and he's the Science Guy dammit!!!"

BIll Nye is "pro" GMO steve....something I am vehemently against. I strongly disagree with him on the subject but I wouldn't tell him you disagree with me therefore you're unqualified. Which is exactly what you guys do.

Well i have a bachelors in mathematics and computer science and a masters in mathematical finance. That's as much as some of the people on that list.

I have a bachelor's in electrical engineering and again don't feel overall qualified to comment on climatology issues.

Why are you anti-GMO exactly?

Which guys in particular? Qualified people can be wrong too. Just as unqualified people can be correct. Funny how that works.

yes qualified people can be wrong, but it takes another qualified person to discount them. See how that works? We here at the Browns board are whole sale unqualified to dispute scientific findings...we can only parrot back that which we read. I constantly admit that much of my global warming stance has a lot to do with just gut instinct, but don't 100% trust it so I want the issue to be thoroughly studied by basically every country on the planet because this has global consequences. Whether it's man made or not we need to figure it out.....drastically changing weather can have "profound" implications for our health. That alone should be enough to tell us we need to get our heads on this asap. But we won't cause we're a dumb stupid species more interested in the game of dominance.

If people want to pet food have at it, I just want real food....food that was grown outside in the Sun and in natural soil the way nature fucking intended it and my ancestors evolved for millions of years alongside.

My DNA and the correct expression of it is directly linked to nature and the natural laws. Plants do evolve over time so in effect they are "genetically modified"....but over a period of thousands of years where multiple generations of species that eat those plants have been able to adapt along with them.

Right, but then there'd be a lot less food to go around.

Well for our current consumption habits sure...but remember I eat once a day, also the way my ancestors did. I also at some point want to grow at least a good portion of my own food and I'm concerned that by the time I do a few things could be in place that virtually force people to use GMO.

You aren't very bright.

Again, this thread is more about making fun of Palin. Again, I don't just take Nye's word for it and I wouldn't expect anyone else to. AGAIN, it is the mountains of peer reviewed scientific research supporting man made climate change that speaks for itself.

But you won't get it. You'll never get it. Your tiny little mind has already been molded by your political party.

Dance puppet. Dance

You mad, birdbrain woodypeckerhead? Got your tailfeathers caught in your plastic sex toy? You fall down a gutter

and you are stuck on stupid? So, you "feel, liberalwise, that you are a "scientist" hahahaha. The first line in your feeble

nonsense "rebuttal"...is the usual personal attack. This thread is a LOT about the merits, or lack thereof, of what she said.

There are not "mountains of peer reviewed scietific research supporting man made..." nothing. Wowee, a whole

MOUNTAIN of research? Gosh, how "BIRDBRAIN SCIENTIFIC" that is ! See, woodpecker, everytime I try to ignore you,

leave you alone, you go gaywonkersebirdflu on the board, and start the personal attacks. You never understand

that A. That is the emotional pouty-pouty hateful knee jerky I talk about. And you DID IT AGAIN !!!!!!!

I didn't mention you or anyone else in my post.

You WANT it to be more about Palin, because Billy Nitwilly the Science Fly is your latest gay blade, or something.

Yeah, you want to be respected, woodpecker, for your education/degree, blah blah incessant blah.

And you turn right around and diss others who don't have the education you have.

And it's true - some of you libs railed at the non-climate degrees the signees hand, only to turn around

and claim deity of scientificness for Bill Nye the Gay Fly, who has a mechanical engineering degree.

DANGIT, THAT IS A LAUGH ! LOLOLOL. Well, at least the point of being pitiful, and immature, and

very dishonest.

It what liberals do - they flippity-flippity whenever it suits them.

Mechanical eng degree on signee against mmgw, BAD, NO SCIENTIST.

Bill Nye the Gay Fly, has mechanical eng degree, he's a BRILLIANT

SUPERSCIENTIST BECAUSE HE SUPPORTS MMGW.

Nailed it, didn't I? Makes you wet your tailfeathers, too bad.

The joke is on you, woodypeckerhead. You stepped in your own birdpoop. Your typical breakfast? :)

Oh bullshit. Parroting back the conclusions and garnishing them with your own ideology is done all the time. Ask any political candidate.

Go over to the browns board and see how many old fat slobs are pontificating about the qualifications of professional athletes. :)

I spent all day yesterday doubling the size of my garden and adding two new small ones for melons and pumpkins. I love growing My own food. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was concerned about the farmers soybean field right next door. Roundup ready soybeans and they sure do roundup the fuck out of it. Last season they killed a huge patch of my front grass with roundup.

It's sick how much roundup they use. We had 1-3 feet of hay killed, for about a hundred yards, the old jerk

farmer said he didn't care, but calc up what he owed us. I said you owe us to not kill our hay in the first place.

So, he didn't farm that strip anymore. We love our giant garden...planted about 1100 tomato seeds, but some of them

weren't getting enough light in our guest bedroom turned greenhouse temporarily. The Tennessee Cheese pepper is

excellent, so I keep growing those. I love some types of squash... and we grow sweet corn, and pototoes. We are growing more diversified stuff. My favorite plant out there, outside

of regular tomatoes... is the ground cherry. It's also called a husk tomato. Like a pineapple/grape/something else

sweet fruit - maybe 1/3-1/2 inch of fruit - it's a cherry tomato.. Sells like crazy at the market. Don't eat em when they are green. They come in a lantern type wrapper,

in the tomatillo family....

see that's the shit that has me really concerned. But try and regulate that free market and you have squatting flapping turkeys like Cal calling you a commie. I"m not gonna mince words, food production in this country should be a collectivist activity. Call that socialism, communism whatever I don't care. Land should be "mandated" to rest regardless of who owns it and what they feel like doing with it. People wanting every last ounce of productivity fuck what the consequences are will run every last resource we got into the ground. Than what? Grow food in an enclosure akin to where Intel makes chips? Gtfo

Cleve - you are emotionally knee jerking again. Stop and think about that.

Collectivist food production, all run by the government... it's the mass production of

food that requires mass solutions to problems, like insecticides, herbicides, disease sprays,

artificial methods of preventing ripening/causing ripening, artificial preservatives, artificial

coloring agents......

the giant food producers get away with all this, to be so efficient they can afford the giant,

million dollar machines. You want the opposite of what you said there.

roundup is not residual, so they say. It dissapates into nothing after so many days....

and yet, this is enough to make me sick... time to have our well water tested again...
