What percentage of the population is transgender? Less than one percent. So we to try and cater to the rights of the less then one percent and trample on the rights of the rest of the population? What about the majority rights of those who feel uncomfortable with a male in the showers with female girls? Why aren't the rights of the majority honored here?

OK, can I add my freedom not to be one of the tens of thousands a year not being a victim of gun violence? I mean there's already freedom from the effects of tobacco in public places in plenty of states, freedom from excessive noise at 3am outside the house, seems like freedom to not be killed would be a sensible one to have.



As it happens, I'm not in favour of repealing the second amendment and I'll go in to that in more detail at some point soon (it revolves around the point that plenty of other places have guns and it's all good - it's just that some americans are inherently dickish). Chris

Outlaw crime and the criminal use of weapons. Then enforce them. Violence using weapons has nothing to


with knife, rope, gun, car, etc etc etc manufacturers. Has nothing to do with the NRA, me,nor anybody else


who owns a gun or guns. It's just another political slur.

Well, my Wonderful Cute Wife just had an idea, ...was watching the news and they were discussing

Heil Obamao's decree to demand transperverts into into opposite sexes' bathrooms and lockerrooms...

 

she said... to close all the bathrooms, and have porta-potties lined up in the hallways, and

whoever wants to use one, can use one.

 

Of course, a lot of girls will be waiting in long lines and won't get to class.

 

But discrimination is good, as long as it's not against the minority base of the liberal/socialist/assholish "democratic" party.

 

btw, a lot of boys and girls will stop taking showers altogether, cancel all gym classes, and sports,

 

home schooling is going to skyrocket. It's a socialist fringe revolution at every possible point, at any cost now, seems like to me.

Didn't Prohibition take away freedoms? And like Chris said, freeing the slaves removed your right to own a slaves.

 

I never said we need to revoke the 2nd amendment

 

Real marriage? Does allowing gay people to marry remove your freedom?

 

Does the 2nd amendment stipulate what it means by "arms"? Can I own a tank?

Cater is a strong word

Trample is a strong word

 

In ergonomic design, when creating machinery or tooling or whatever for plants, you need it to work for a wide range of the population. The very short or very tall (small population) need to be able to use your machine.

 

 

Not to mention its not what that small group wants, it's what that percentage of the entire public wants. Ex, gays are a minority, but the majority support letting them marry.

You might want to give your definition of a"right". That might clear up some confusion going forward.

Yes, The Constitution is a GUARANTOR of our basic freedoms, written in stone. You feel I just throw the term around, but

you have no idea how fervently I revere our freedom. Learn some history - American history will do.

 

Prohibition was a mistake - it tried to Constitutionalize the right to NOT allow something. That was stupid, not what the

Constitution is. You just prove my point for me, by bringing it up.

 

Freeing the slaves GUARANTEED that they have their freedoms INTACT. There is no moral grounds to guarantee

that others have the right to enslave others, and deny them their rights and freedoms - in this case - you do not have

the right to oppress other's and deny them their freedom. There was never a right to own slaves, regardless of

the legalities at the time.

 

I never said you did say "revoke the 2nd Amendment". You have a dim view of it, and your rash statements on the issue infer it.

 

Yes, the courts forcing Americans to allow the perverted, politically oriented redefinition of the phrase "Real Marriage" denies

This one was a boner by obama. This one needed to be introduced in steps. The potential for abuse is staggering, we are the most churlish and immature culture going today and possibly of all time. No way this doesnt end badly and not because it isnt a good idea to accomodate transgendered people. In the end this will do more harm
