LogicIsForSquares
5.56 is my go to as well for piggly wiggly's. . "Wild boar" I took to mean 300-400+ lb variety. The "non-eating" pigs. Terminology mix up. They definitely are bagging wild boar in the 300-400lb variety with 5.56.
LogicIsForSquares
I promise you it was a teenager. The big boys taste like car tires. This. You have to soak the meat in apple cider vinegar for a fair bit to get the foul taste out of it. Gamey as all hell.
calfoxwc
I keep saying the 5.56 because with only 28 acres, and houses near... just seems like I would never shoot a 7.62 unless I go out of state or something.... ...never had boar - it's probably like groundhog - a teenage groundhog tastes great. an older groundhog, the rubber tire analogy probably works. When ever we went after ones that large it was always a pest/ destroying crops. We knew we weren't gonna eat it so a blackout or a kalishnikov through the shoulder or gut wasn't gonna waste anything. Also, getting bit sucks.

Legacy Fan
Is there a story? HahaHa. Yeah. Just a farm pig though. Bout 200lbs. Loaded him on a truck to go get slaughtered (after he destroyed my buddy's kitchen) and bit me on the calf. Hurt pretty bad. I punched him in the head and bout broke my hand. Hahaha.
