Tacosman Posted September 25, 2016 Report Share Posted September 25, 2016 Completely shutting down the running game is actually a bad thing because teams may completely abandon the run and air it out....which is what we(and really most every team in the nfl today) don't want opposing offenses to do....it's actually better if they have a bit of success running because they would be more likely to keep doing it.
