He's not getting many targets here. His stock is higher now than it will be a year from now

Even with fewer targets here, if he makes the most of them, his stock rises. If he fails in Tampa Bay, his career in the NFL is done.

Or if he fails here, on the 15 targets he'll get. If he fails anywhere he's probably done. He at least gets a chance to ball out somewhere else.

Good point Woody & good luck to him as he did well for us in '18.

OBJ, Calloway

Landry, Higgins

I think we're good, and we've got the other two young pups on rookie contracts, Ratley & Willies.

Nojoku, Chubb, Hunt, Duke...

Perriman needed to move on somewhere where he'll see footballs, he was our insurance at the X spot ... and we just filled that with one of the best in the league.

Shame.  Thought he could contribute.

Signing OBJ, not enough room on the roster. If you want a nightmare trip back to 0-16 in 2017, take a look at pro football reference at the Browns WRs that year. The too young (Higgins), or too unreliable (Gordon), or too bad (Kenny Britt). What a turnaround.

How deep are most teams DB corps?  You now have to cover Jarvis, Odell and Colloway on the long ball..

Higgins if he signs(or Perriman if he had stayed) would have gotten open nearly every single play even with less than stellar route running.

You'd need 4 WRs on the field for that to happen...

Quality depth? Maybe 1.5 average... Some teams have 2 strong CBs and a couple have 2 strong plus a strong slot guy. Of course some also are lucky if one of their CBs approach "strong".

Perriman deciding to go elsewhere after the OBJ trade makes a lot of sense to me. Too many receivers for one football, plus he was a FA and not a pick made by the team (Callaway, Higgins), so it was even harder for him to get a chance IMO.
