Zombo
Time to line them up and see where are, pre-draft: Here is my current 53. Did we go to 55? doesn't matter, we are about to add a shit ton of players, and then we can figure it out: QB B.Mayfield, C. Keenum, G. Gilbert FB/H-B A. Janovich RB N. Chubb, K. Hunt, D. Hilliard, D. Johnson WR1 O. Beckham, D. Ratley, T.Taylor WR2 J. Landry, K. Hodge, D. Montgomery, J Natson TE A. Hooper, D. Njoku, , P. Brown, S. Carlson LT C. Hubbard LG J. Bitonio C J.Tretter RG W. Teller , D. Forbes RT J. Conklin, K. Lamm DE M. Garrett, C. Thomas DT Ogunjobi, A. Billings DT S. Richardson, D. Eukale, E. Ankou DE O. Vernon, A. Clayborn MLB M. Wilson, J. Grace SLB S. Takitaki, Tae Davis WLB B.J. Goodson CB D. Ward , K. Johnson, T. Thomas CB G. Williams, T. Mitchell, D. Lewis FS A.Sendejo, S. Redwine, SS K. Joseph, JT Hassell K A. Seibert P J. Gillan LS Hughlett KR J. Natson (T.Thomas) PR J. Natson (J. Landry) My Biggest pre-draft needs: 1. Left Tackle. Hubbard just a place-setter, he will be the swing tackle 2. OLB At LEAST one starter needs to be found 3. WR3 ... Don't think our third WR is on the roster. 4. Safety ... Someone could easily come in and win that FS job. 5. DE ... If we don't keep Vernon we need some immediate impact 6. OL depth 7. CB depth 8. DT depth Zombo 2
The Gipper
Related: A. We lost 2 TEs: Harris and Seal-Jones. Got Hooper back. Still have Njoku, Pharoah, Carlson......I think we are in good shape here...no draft priority. B. ILB: Lost Schobert and Kirksey...and probably Adarious Taylor. Got back BJ Goodson. Still have Takitaki, and maybe Mack Wilson some. Still a major area of need IMO C. Safeties: Lost: Murray/Burris/Randall/and Burnett. Replaced them so far with Karl Joseph and Sandejo. Still have Redwine. Still an area of significant need IMO D. Offensive Guard: Lost McCray/Kush. No FA pickups. Still have starters Bito/Teller and Drew Forbes. Definite need for depth if not one starter. E. Offensive Tackle: Lost Robinson. Picked up Conklin. Still have Hubbard. Absolute area of need even with Conklin on board, probably #1 F. Quarterback: No losses....well Drew Stanton if you want to count him. Picked up Keenum. Still have Baker/Gilbert. NO need here. G. Running back . NO losses. Still have Chubb/Hunt (re-signed)/Hilliard/Johnson. See NO need here. H. Center. NO losses. Picked up Evan Brown for backup. Still have Tretter. See NO need here. I. Wide Receiver. Higgins status up in air. May lose. Picked up JoJo Natson, listed as WR, but to be ST/PR. We still have OBJ/Landry and a half dozen other backups.. of undetermined value. Seems a minor area of need. J. Defensive Tackle. NO losses. Picked up Andrew Billings for backup. Have Ogunjobi/Richardson as starters, and Eli Ankou backup plus a few others. Maybe could use a guy, but a minor priority. K. Defensive Ends. Looks like we lose Brian Cox Jr. Picked up Andrew Clayborn. Still have Garrett, Olivier, Chad Thomas. Clayborn over Cox should be a net gain, so it seems like we are good...but it may not hurt to get someone. L. OLBs. Did not lose anyone here, but our OLBs now are listed as Willie Harvey and Mack Wilson. Backups are no names like Jermaine Grace/Trevon Young. Definite area of need IMO. M. Special Teams.....no major losses. We picked up a guy named Tavierre Thomas who is listed as top KR...and Natson is supposed to be PR (though he is not listed there on depth chart). We have Kicker/Punter/Holder/Long Snapper well in hand. Punt and Kick returner? There is Natson/Thomas...and there are guys on the depth chart (Landry listed as our #1 PR). We could certainly use someone...be it a guy already on the roster/draft/FA? So: Draft Priorities: 1. LT 2. OLB 3. MLB 4. Safety 5. WR3 6. Backup OL 7. Backup DL 8. Punt/Kick Returner
Orion
I'm not convinced that our edge rusher position is solidified. Vernon still being on the team is a bit of a surprise.

What would be your thoughts.....or anyone's here, on grabbing him at #41 even? A reach? Rating services had him about mid 3rd round. Should the Browns be reaching on a position of such need. Others that were rated around at the #41 spot were Antoine Winfield Jr. (who I did take)....Ashtyn of Cal, both safeties. Go for one of those instead of "reaching" for the LB? CLEVELANDwantsPLAYOFFS
LT, OLB, DE, ILB, RG, WR, CB Needs list. If we don’t have Higgins and Vernon. Might draft a safety, who knows.
Zombo
Well, the Browns knock the first need out of the park, and the Depth Chart is real easy to update. The Gipper
Similarly: So: Draft Priorities: 1. LT 2. OLB 3. MLB 4. Safety 5. WR3 6. Backup OL 7. Backup DL 8. Punt/Kick Returner There was not a single Safety taken in round one. Delpit, McKinney, Winfield, Ashtyn Davis, Chinn, all there. Could be Browns move. LBs....top 3 taken: Murray/Queen/Simmons. Still on the board: Baun, Harrison, Brooks, Davis-Gaither. Browns have 1 pick in round 2, 2 in round 3.

Zombo
By the way ... regarding linebackers, you can line them up anyway you want and I wont argue with you. They are all inside linebackers in my book, so I don't know what we are doing. I know Wilson played outside that year and TikTok is talking about playing weakside this year, so it's probably Wilson and TikTok on the outside with Phillips challenging Goodson for the middle, we'll get it all straightened out by camp ... if there is a camp. Tour2ma
LBs alignment looks reasonable. I do see Goodson starting, but we shall see. Personally I am still holding out hope for a shot at Troy Dye with our first pick today. Bigger question in my mind is Delpit... as in which Safety slot will he best compete. I can see him working in the box more than not.

Zombo
Post-Draft Update. Matthew Berry when right after our needs and didn't add any fluff or gambles, A+ Here is where we sit for now, not adding undrafted FAs yet, we have a long holding pattern ahead, I fear, but, on paper, we have a team: Here are my updated projections and needs: QB B.Mayfield, C.
