Hopkins just turned 31 two days ago, I wouldn't call that the twilight of his career, he still has a few years left. I would take him only if we didn't pay top dollar for him. He woould still be a nice veteran piece on a team that's contending and needs help at WR. Considering he wants paid, would not make him a good fit here.

Yes 31 is just a number he "might" have a few good years left.  Most good/great  WRs peak around 30 (see J. Rice among others)  but I like to look at other variables like 1. injury history (NOT BAD) 2. comparable comparisons with other players, and so on.   FROM SPOTEC.

I understand the drop off potential, but matter of fact speaking if you consider his 2022 stats +6 games you'd have a line of roughly 

106 catches

1,200 yards

6-7 TDS.

The catches and yards are both roughly top 10 stats at the position for 2022, and TD's are of course a much bigger wild card. That's all on a team with less than ideal situations all around as well

I don't think it makes logical sense to sign the guy, but it's interesting to say the least. I'd be much more worried about injury risk than potential drop off skill wise. If anything, having 6 games off last year may be good for whomever signs the dude.

That'll help Aggie QB Ryan Tannehill get new life breathed into the offense. Also helps take the target off Derrick Henry's back too. I can see a lot of play action off Henry for sure.
