AP1
Yahoo Sports I don't know every team that's looking for a QB, but I know the Steelers need a QB. Where does he end up? I'd rather play Kenny Pickett or Mason Rudolph twice a year.

Some guys retire when it seems like there is more in the tank, others hang on and refuse to let go.

That said, I don't think he's ever been the same guy since he had that brutal dislocated ring finger injury on his throwing hand. I'd rather see the Steelers rent him for a year or 2 than Justin Fields. At the Combines they were saying the Bears already announced they're taking C-Will. They already got the acro going. Funny you mention Justin Fields, because the Justin Fields to the Browns articles were flying yesterday.

Pats were actually the first team that came to mind. When Denver started winning this year, they went back to the running game and let Russ cook off 1st down ball action and his scrambling ability. The Hallmark of BB in the early and post Brady eras.
Bob806
The RW trade wasn't really the killer, it was Denver giving him a crazy contract extension before he ever took a snap for them, 5 years $245 million. It's amazing that TWO teams (Seattle, $26 million, Denver $85 million) are paying him to NOT be their QB, kicking him off the roster. He must be some kind of locker room headache, wow. PS- hopefully the Browns don't have to do something like this in the 2024/25 off season with DW.

Neo
If we are on the subject of once great QB's that have won the Super Bowl, why does it seem people think that Flacco can't be a starter anymore? Didn't Flacco just turn 39? Didn't Brady not only start but win a SB well in his 40's? I know Joe Flacco isn't Tom Brady but all I heard was how well Joe Flacco kept himself in shape and how he has personal trainers.

The biggest difference between Brady and Flacco isn't their physical shape. Not now, not ever. Joe had always made questionable decisions and, as most Browns fans forgot until the Houston game, he will continue to do so. Flacco had a great run (with some help) once. That does not make him a great QB.
BernieSuperBowl2
That would be great news if Wilson signed with the Steelers. He's completely washed up. He benefited from playing with a top 5 all-time defense and the best running back in the league at the time in Marshawn Lynch when he was in Seattle. If he signs with the Steelers that's an easy two W's for us next year.

Nothing's ever easy regarding the Browns vs Steelers unfortunately....

I watched highlights of his passes before this with consistent tight accurate spirals. After it, it looked like about 60% of his throws were wobbly. Of course his game against the Browns felt like an exception to that rule especially with Denzel Ward out of our line-up.

Bradshaw was still getting benched in his 5th season for Joe Gilliam and Terry Hanratty. Not many ownerships would have been that patient (per Bradshaw's stats below).
