  1. So do we hate China or like them. This Board confuses me with all its mixed messages.
  2. Not sure we should be taking legislative advice from a comedian but reasonable gun legislation is long overdue. Problem is the legislation won’t be reasonable and won’t stand a chance at passing.
  3. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/5856130002 These are going to be our future military leaders but why am I not surprised. Standards are down everywhere, why would one of the most prestigious institution be any different. Man this country needs to do some soul searching.
  4. I think we can agree Coney-Barrett was put through to change the dynamic of the Court to more what us viewed as more conservative.
  5. The issue here is don’t vote for Obama’s nominee but vote for Trump’s. Now the argument will be made that Trump could’ve won a second term but Obama couldn’t. That argument is only made for disagreement purposes as we all know why it played out the way it did.
  6. Ok. I agree the Republican Caucus is stupid or they believe it doesn’t matter what position they take on any given day as their supporters will support them regardless
  7. No I don’t believe for one second it’s about fairness, it’s about getting “your people” in positions of power as it always is. Garland has a pretty good resume and not sure if they could dig up enough dirt. So instead of potentially voting down a qualified candidate without real cause they took the path of least resistance.
  8. It won’t pass but I have no issue with it. I’d prefer term limits for the justices but believe that if the party in power is able to pass legislation, they have every right to. It is then incumbent on the people to vote accordingly. It’s so much easier to allow the party in power to push their agenda, then it is to get any of them to agree or compromise. That was very evident when the same individuals who wouldn’t confirm Garland voted to confirm Coney-Barrett.
  9. I agree that troop levels are very low but still feel like it is a good move. At some point we need to allow the Afghans to figure this out. We’ve spent far too much on this already. I feel bad for some of the Afghan people who will suffer from our lack of presence but we need to focus on this country for a little while.
  10. Unfortunately our elected leaders are already playing politics. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/senate/548007-biden-sparks-bipartisan-backlash-on-afghanistan-withdrawal%3famp
  11. No I am. Too many people seem to only be happy when they are complaining. And that goes for all walks of life. There is certainly a time and place for it but when a decision occurs that aligns with your ideology, let that be enough. If reasonable people don’t find common ground and acknowledge when it occurs, we are worse off as a nation.
  12. Again, if you truly don’t want to be part of the tinfoil brigade stop painting with a wide brush. I’ve been in favor of leaving Iraq and Afghanistan since day one. I didn’t support either invasion.
  13. Can we just be happy the right decision is being made? The negativity could use a bit of a rest. My only concern is having to bring troops back as we had to when Obama removed them from Iraq.
  14. That isn’t in the Republican playbook
  15. Just being an idiot. Have good relationships with Plumbers & Fitters local. Just find it funny that all these gang member, drug dealer, rapists and killers are also awesome at working in an auto factory.
  16. Hurt is a very relative term. And aren’t we used to Presidents lying at this point? Bush said “no new taxes” Clinton didn’t have sexual relations with that woman, Iraq had zero to do with 9/11, Healthcare didn’t become affordable and the last guy lied more than he told the truth.
  17. So are you pro-recreational pot use or against?
  18. Again. Still isn’t hitting me so I’m ok with it. When it eventually gets to my tax bracket, I’ll see what the increase is, what it’s being spent on, and make my decision to support or complain about it.
  19. Not a fan of Russia or China, lump the entire Middle East in there as well, but we have to maintain some level of diplomacy with all of them or try to become the next empire.
  20. Austin discussed the U.S. military's commitment to "denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" and "the importance of maintaining military readiness" during a press conference Wednesday. So to be clear, you guys don’t support these two principles?
  21. Not sure how you are making the leap that Castro and the Democrats are allies. The Democrats have been discussing lifting embargo and travel restrictions which the Cuban community are against. Are the Republicans allies with Kim Jong-un
