  1. And who taught these "socialist loving millennials" to believe that socialism is a viable belief system to have? Gen Xers and Millennials didn't pop out of the womb quoting Karl Marx. It is the job of the current generation to educate the future generations and to leave the world in a better place than what they found it. Baby Boomers inherited from their parents' generation the most prosperous economy and wealth of opportunity in human history, then proceeded to not only squander that wealth, but robbed their children and grandchildren's futures to fuel their own greed. And to top it all off, the Boomers don't even have the decency to bow out gracefully and let the succeeding generations try to begin cleaning up the mess that the Boomers created and will probably never suffer the consequences of. Say what you want about Gen X and millennials, but the Baby Boomers are, by far, the most selfish generation.
  2. Baby Boomers from both parties spend decades driving up the national debt, knowing that their generation will never have to deal with the consequences of it, and now they're "concerned" about their children and grandchildren? What a crock of shit. You geriatric fucks can't be driven out of offices of power fast enough.
  3. Good. Can't wait until the housing market crashes. I've been saving up for my first house and I'd rather not pay an extra $10-40k for an overvalued house.
  4. That's the benefit of being a Reds fan; I can get my optimism in my team out of the way before the All-Star break.
  5. Personally, the time period from the end of the NFL draft until I do my fantasy football draft (usually a week or two before Week 1 of the regular season) is baseball season for me. I went to my first Reds game last weekend; my first since before the pandemic. I figured I'd balance out my high expectations for the upcoming Browns season by watching my beloved Reds continually disappoint me.
  6. You mean turnabout? Sure. Then it'll be fair play again for Democrats when it's a Republican in question. And conservatives such as yourself will gnash their teeth and rend their clothes in outrage over how Leftists are ignoring innocence until proven guilty. And on and on the wheel continues to spin. Both sides are hypocrites.
  7. Is this not the same tactic - accusing someone of sexual misconduct and the news blowing it up - that conservatives were up in arms about when leftists did the same thing to Trump and Kavanaugh? Where is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?
  8. Poor kid is going to be speaking Chinese because his grandparents sold his future out for extra foldin' money. Too bad.
  9. With the exception of Trump, none of those people you mentioned were Baby Boomers. Also, Gerald Ford was 6'0".
  10. She's doing no worse than Pelosi or McConnell or the vast majority of Boomer politicians who are abusing their offices to their benefit. They're all pieces of shit. The difference is Boomer politicians have been pieces of shit decades now, and are stubbornly sticking to the toilet bowl no matter how many times you jiggle the handle. But, that's the Boomer generation, in general, for you: inherent the greatest economy and government in human history and proceed to drive both into the ground in order to feed their greed.
  11. Honestly, I just wish all you baby boomers - Democrats, Republicans, etc - would just take the hint to leave office already. Since they took the reins of government in the mid 80s, Boomers have continually proven themselves to be utter dog shit when it comes to running a government, at all levels.
  12. So there's people out there who don't feel like they're represented by either the Republican or Democrat parties and want a viable 3rd option?
  13. Seems like you're off your prescription meds again and back on Grandpa's old cough syrup. It's actually nice to see some things don't change much whilst I'm away.
  14. This board is a microcosm of the politics of America in general. I find it's best summed up by a slightly tweaked lyric from Stealers Wheel: "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right Here I am Stuck in the middle and screwed..."
  15. Business Insider: The US is sitting on millions of unused doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and says it won't share them with countries that might need them more
  16. I'm a firm believer in UFOs and aliens. I see them all the time when I eat mushrooms.
  17. Let's do entitlement reform. Trimming the fat on Medicare and doing away with the Ponzi scheme that is Social Security would free up alot of proverbial salary cap on the US's books.
  18. For sure. I'm a first time homebuyer, so I definitely don't want to spend $140k on a run down dump that was going for less than $100k 18 months ago. I know that houses increase in value overall, but the market is pretty artificially inflated now. There's going to be a glut of houses in the near future when the stimmy checks stop coming and the banks are allowed to collect overdue house payments again.
  19. I'm just biding my time until the housing bubble inevitably pops and housing prices stop being so overinflated.
  20. I believe the biggest inconvenient truth is that the United States of America died a long time ago, and that most people are just now starting to realize it.
