  1. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Walther. The PPS and PK380. The PPS is a good looking gun, but that's all I can say about it, the design is absolute trash. The texture on the grip is extremely uncomfortable, the magazine pinches my skin when changing mags, and the mag release is in an awkward place. And the reason I mentioned about ammo cycling issues was because of this pile of shit 👇 even though I was shooting .380 ammo, some ammo would not cycle the slide and would cause a failure to eject, it was real annoying. The PPK's aren't bad but these are absolute garbage. I stand by Glock and Sig Sauer.
  2. It does help a little. I've shot 44 special LRN out of a S&W Model 29 with a six inch barrel and it had almost no recoil at all, super accurate. Even though the snub nose 357 doesn't have a long barrel, it the does help with recoil some. I've shot 38 special out of the same gun chambered in only 38 special. The gun (38 special) is lighter and the cylinder is noticeably smaller. If you're going to buy a gun, why not buy one that can shoot two different types of ammo? THe added weight of the 357 doesn't bother me, they are both pretty much the same size. I like that I can shoot 357 if I want to. And what's wrong with a snub nose? People say that a snub nose isn't a good choice for conceal carry. It's pretty much never going to jam, and it's never going to have problems cycling ammo like you do with some semi auto pistols. I used to have a gun for walking out the trail, one for driving around, one for if I was going to the mall to shop, one for home defense. But things change and had to streamline my arsenal.
  3. As much as I hate the Steelers, I give them credit. Either you fit the player that they need or you are gone, they don't mess around.
  4. Is there a point your trying to make? Just because I have a .357 snub nose doesn't mean I'm shooting .357 loads. Shooting 38 special defense rounds out of the heavier frame of a .357 helps with recoil. Where the hell do you live if you're faced with the threat of multiple attackers? The way you make it seem is that it's pretty common that a normal stroll through the neighborhood could instantly turn into a scene from an action movie. I've lived just a couple of miles outside the city limits of some of the most dangerous cities in America and all I had to protect myself was 7 round 9mm Glock with one or two extra mags. I'm pretty confident in my ability to defend myself. And defending yourself isn't limited to carrying a gun, it's your situational awareness and getting yourself out of a jam or staying out of bad situations to begin with. Well, I'm glad your Special Forces friend is pleased with your ability to murder squirrels.
  5. It's basically what I said. He played for two teams that are known for strong defense and developing their defensive players and he's only 25. So if he couldn't make it on a Mike Tomlin or Pete Carroll defense, the one year deal is pretty telling. Right now I'm looking at him as just a warm body taking a spot but I hope he can get it together. I'm going to give him a chance because I really wasn't expecting Flacco to do what he did. You never know. Edit But I don't understand this move, why bring in a guy just to take up a spot? Do they really think he has something to give us? Why not go after Devin White? I'm basically looking at this is that they got him on the cheap and if he turns into something then it's a bonus. They COULDN'T have looked at him and said " This guy is going to be an all-pro for years to come". And I am also kind of questioning not taking Bobby Wagner over Jordan Hicks. Wagner has been an excellent defender over the years.
  6. Schefter: Ex-Steelers LB Devin Bush Signing With Browns - Steelers Depot This article doesn't sound too encouraging. I was going to post some snippets from it but it won't allow me to highlight anything. It basically says the Steelers moved up to draft him, he tore his ACL, and his production took a nose dive after he came back, struggling to get off blocks. It also talked about his 18 tackle game as a Seahawk vs the Steelers and said that his play didn't match the gaudy numbers. I wouldn't get your hopes up but I'm willing to give him a chance.
  7. I'm hoping that's the player we get.
  8. He's only 25 and played on teams known for their defense, now going on his third. Signing a one year deal, sounds like they are taking a chance on him, I hope it works out.
  9. Had a decent gun collection but I had to streamline. This and a Ruger .357 snub nose is all I need.
  10. Bobby Wagner signed a 1 year contract with the Commanders with about 6 million. Anyone know any details bout Jordan Hicks' contract yet? Bobby Wagner has always been quality linebacker as far as I can remember.
  11. Best still available DL Arik Armstead : Age 31 LB Bobby Wagner : Age 34 LB Devin White: Age 26 S Julian Blackmon : Age 26 CB Kendall Fuller : Age 29 CB Stephan Gilmore : Age 33 OT : Yosh Nijman Age :28 Says he can play both tackle positions. *Would love to see them bring this guy, or Jones in to compete with Wills.👇 OT: Josh Jones Age: 27 Says his natural position is LT and he has a high ceiling for a team looking for options. DT Teair Tart AGE:27 Says he had a mid-season release, but could be a FA Steal.
  12. Is it me, or are the Stealers having a better FA than we are? Wilson is a clear upgrade over Pickett, and they signed Patrick Queen for 3yr/41 million. Could we have afforded that?
  13. They must think Watson's shoulder will be fine if they brought in Winston instead of bringing Flacco back.
  14. I just have a feeling that he's going to be used kind of like Kareem Hunt, towards the end of the game, short yardage/goal line. Lamar will still be gaining a lot of yards on the ground for them. If in a close game and they need a yard or two yard, they will probably trust Lamar to find an open lane and not call a run for Henry. We shall see how they use him. I just remember the Seahawks were on the like the three yard line and they had Marshawn Lynch but they put the ball in Russell Wilson's hands in the Super Bowl.
  15. Valid point. It seemed like Lamar has gotten out of that run first mentality but he doesn't seem like someone who is going to defer to someone else when the game is on the line. If he sees a lane, he's going to run. That's going to take touches away from Henry.
  16. I don't know much about Winston, I'm just worried about Watson's shoulder and if it is going to heal properly and not be a nagging injury. I understand not wanting Flacco behind Watson as someone has said however, I would prefer someone who can come in and win games immediately. Flacco has proven that and I would be willing to give him another chance at the playoffs. I know he completely shit the bed but you can also attribute that to not playing that long with the players around him and not having a solid run game to take the pressure off of him. Our running game did ok but not like having a healthy workhorse like Chubb in the backfield, not to mention all the injuries on the O-Line.
  17. No, you bitch and whine about every little thing but you offer no solutions. Oh I forgot, your solution is to show fealty to the one that wears orange clown makeup. He'll wave his magic wand and everything will be right in the world. You're pathetic.
  18. This why you catch shit from people, you're just a douche. Forget I even said anything.
  19. Just give me something instead of dancing around it. GIVE ME AN IDEA. Isn't this what this place is supposed to be for? Talking through issues trying to find some common ground? You go first, tell me your idea and then I'll share.
  20. Cheetos and Cheesecake. Some people do love their cheese, don't they?
  21. So......what......is........the ........solution? Isn't that what this thread is all about? Cal making his sales pitch to why you need an AR-15 because obviously he thinks the evil Democrats are going to take his guns away, then what is the solution? I've been asking this same question since I've joined this board and have yet to get a real answer. If gun reform is not an option, what could be done that you would be satisfied with? Usually when kids act like brats, they take away their toys. But that's not what I am implying. People who already have them can get grandfathered in and keep them, just limit the manufacture and sale of more. What say you?
  22. I'm just tired of hearing people complain about gun violence, but when asked about a solution. "gUn RefOrm ViOlaTz MuH 2nd uh-menDment riGHtz" So, if we're not allowed to pass any kind of gun laws or gun reform, how do we do something about the problem? What's wrong with an assault weapons ban? Nobody NEEDS to have a AR-15, there's still plenty of guns out there.
  23. So, let's arm everybody with everything, man, woman, and child. Full auto M4's, green tip bullets, grenade launchers, belt fed machine guns, miniguns. Let's put machine gun turrets on our roofs of our houses, drive around with loaded fully automatic AK47's in the passenger seat. Why don't we just do away with all gun laws and go back to the wild west? No more background checks, carry your gun anywhere, including schools. At least there won't be anymore school shootings when every third grader is carrying a piece.
