  1. Which is why I stated in the game thread this team isn't built for the playoffs. If the defense can't play on the road then the Browns need to win the division to secure a home game. Baltimore is no pushover, Pittsburgh is no pushover, and when Burrow comes back, I would say the Bengals are no pushover.
  2. The Texans had a worse record yet we had to play them in their house. Unless we win the division, we will never sniff a Super Bowl. That's just the cold hard reality. And we play in a division where at least two other teams are perennial contenders.
  3. And we almost lost that game when they put the second unit in which says alot how they approach things and how we approach things.
  4. I was one of those on the Flacco express but anyone expecting Flacco to come off the couch and put a Lombardi in Cleveland's trophy case is nuts. I said a week ago, you live by the sword, you die by the sword. And we fell on our sword tonight. I just was expecting a much better effort than that abomination.
  5. Stef can kiss coach of the year goodbye after that game. Because Ryans was also in the running for it.
  6. I was proud of this team all year up until this point, all they have overcome to get to where they did, then this happened. I really hope there is no powder puff speech in the locker room about how it was a great season and they should be proud, I hope Stef lays into them. I don't think anybody in that locker room should be happy with that performance and they need to hear it. Everybody knows what they are capable of and they didn't play up to that tonight.
  7. It wasn't just Flacco. This team had every reason to come out with energy and believe that they could win the game and they just didn't, they just DIDN'T. It's really disheartening to see the only player to show up was JOK. JOK should be the embodiment of what a Cleveland Brown should be. Him and Nick Chubb, especially Nick Chubb. I mean, they were literally the talk of the town, the buzz was all around the Browns and they came out and laid an egg. This is not the way our season should have ended.
  8. It may be too soon for this because a lot of people are still heated about tonight, but this team isn't built for the postseason. Yes I know about the mountain of injuries we had this year but I just can't help but think how the defense doesn't travel. There is something concerning about that. It seems like Berry did a good job with piecing the roster together all year, but did he really? It seems like all he was doing is delaying the inevitable. I wouldn't get your hopes up for next season either. Is Watson going to bounce back from the shoulder surgery? Will Nick Chubb be the same player after the knee injury? I mean, those are two big important pieces to the foundation of this team. What do we do with Flacco? What arw we going to do about the offensive line? Lots of uncertainty in the future.
  9. I said it before, I wasn't setting myself up for a let down. I fully expected this. It's just disappointing it's the same old song and dance with the Browns. There's always next year............
  10. So much for that Schwartz defense. They need to get control of this game, I don't think this is a kind of game the Browns can win.
  11. I guess it's just personal preference. My very first sports team was the Cleveland Browns. I remember watching them when I was young on an old 13 inch TV with rabbit ears. Then I got into baseball because the Indians were good in the 90's. Just never really got into college sports. I don't go crazy as some do about the rivalries. I used to watch the games over relatives houses when visiting for Christmas dinner because all that was on TV was bowl games. Back when it was just the "Orange Bowl" and "Cotton Bowl" and the "Sugar Bowl". Not all of these stupid bowl games they have today.
  12. Everybody loves Flacco now but there is a potential nightmare scenario that I keep thinking about. Flacco nearly takes us to a Super Bowl and the next year, a certain team that could be potentially one QB away from going to the Super Bowl scoops him up. This team has a similar name to that of feces, it's the Stoolers I'm talking about of course. I was on a Stoolers board recently and saw them mention that they were pissed that they themselves didn't think about going after Flacco. Nightmare scenario is that he nearly misses a Super Bowl win here and go there and delivers another one to them on a silver platter. Can't imagine they would be happy with Mason Rudolph moving forward. And if Tomin doesn't pursuit him, he may be out on the streets next year if they miss the playoffs althogether.
  13. I would love that too. I would be one of the best cinderella stories in NFL history if he delivers a Lombardi trophy to Cleveland. I didn't want him to start until the playoffs started but I was surprised by the results and I'm glad he did start earlier.
  14. What are the odds that Watson doesn't return to form after the shoulder surgery? Do we keep Flacco as the starter? What about Watson's contract?
  15. I don't really see the attraction to college football unless it's to scout a player. Too many teams, too many players, and I can't stand all the running QB's that there are in college football.
  16. Well, they did suspend Harbaugh. They must of had something that linked him to the scandal. I think I stated pretty clearly I don't watch college football, nor do I care. And if Michigan happens dominate OSU in the future, so what. It is still a very good football program. Of course I'll watch the occasional OSU game but it's not like I'm a die hard Buckeyes fan.
  17. Which means, we need to come out in attack mode and not leave it up to a last second kick to send us to the next round or send us home.
  18. I don't watch college football, I really don't care either way, just curious as to why you think it should not be vacated? They got caught cheating, did the cheating put them in position to win? How long did it go on for? Has shades of the Houston Astros just saying.
  19. There's no crying in baseball football
  20. Umm yeah, when I play, I play to win. There's no room for feelings in football. The object of the game is to win. You don't want to get beat that bad, get better.
  21. I get that but I'm a old school kind of guy and would have liked to see them get something going so it would get the rest of the team going. They just couldn't get ANYTHING going on offense with Driskel, almost looked as bad as DTR's first start against the Ravens. Let's not forget that this second unit almost blew a game against a team we will be playing on Saturday in the wild card. I really wanted to see the second unit start to click. I could not make it past the first quarter, I shut it off. It's kinda concerning when you consider our injury situation.
